Excellent film ; quite compulsive viewing on account of the subject. Quite bonkers and yet totaly admirable at the same time. You might do more interviews about random boats and boats people you come across
Great film Dylan. Andrew Baldwin is an amazing man... and so is his steel vessel. He works as a sculptor in metal, creating extraordinary and intriguing mechanical/kinetic devices. He made a 'Walking Boat' that 'stepped' out of the River Thames and walked up the beach outside the Tate Modern gallery in 2011. See: walkingboat.blogspot.co.uk But his solo voyage to Iceland and back in Scary Mary, with no offshore sailing experience, defied the odds and inspired. Courage and modesty in equal parts.
Now I know more about Dylan Winter than I do about Andy Baldwin. That said, Dylan does some entertaining video's, a bit like a marine Mike Portillo and his trains and destinations.
Dylan, have you ever thought about getting together with Roger Taylor to do a video? You could talk about your differant goals and maybe compare rigs etc.
Bonkers man. Still, I think to do a voyage like that it's perhaps better to have never been to sea in horrible weather. What you don't know can't frighten you before you even set off, I guess... It's setting off for the journey back that must be the difficult bit.
