Don't simply retire from something; have something to retire to. Start saving, keep saving, and stick to investments.
Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.

It's really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It's a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Jihan Wu!

Very nice job covering the basics. I am sharing this not to brag but to show what’s possible. I’m retired and I have 2 separate portfolios. One is a long term growth dividend portfolio of stocks where i sell covered calls strategically and my 2nd portfolio is the Crypto trading strategy where its all about income. This year I am on pace to make $120K in realized options profits and around $869K in crypto profit... What is great is that my long-term portfolio is still up significantly as well. As such, it’s possible to generate excellent income but still have a total return perspective. ...Amidst this, the insights of a knowledgeable guide like that of Expert Matthew D Heck can be crucial. His expertise in navigating the nuances of trading has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.

Please do this series with someone that has a realistic income, does not have a large amount of equity in a house that can bail them out, or someone that has thousands of dollars in savings. We need to see real people that are living paycheck to paycheck get help. People that make 100,000 to 200,000 do not pertain to a majority of people right now.

Knowing today's culture the challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in trending stocks, which is pretty simple. Love the series. I wish people would stop thinking a huge car payment is the only way to have safe, reliable transportation. I've seen so many people use that thinking to justify car loans, then they complain about the financial pressure of their overwhelming debt and lack of resources. Even senior citizens on limited income cling to their late-model cars bought with car loans for 'safety,' and meanwhile they are choosing which medicines to take, saying they can't afford the co-pays. We are EDMs, and our newest car is 7 years old, the next newest is 14. Both are safe and reliable, and the 14-year-old car made it through several road trips this year without a single hiccup. The reality is ANY car made in the last 10 years has all the extra airbags and safety features because they're mandatory. MOST cars since 2009 have the extra airbags too. Backup cameras? Standard since 2018, but available for years before that. You are fooling yourself if you think safety requires a $600/month car payment.

Invest judiciously, keep a stop loss figure. Shuffle between debt and equity wherever the ratio goes too off your target. As for the target, I recommend a Ratio like this Debt % should be equal to your age in years. If you are 20, debt is 20%, reset in equity. If the market falls or rises drastically, your debt % will change, which you should rebalance to 20% and bring back equity to 80%. Thus you would have bought low or booked profit depending on if it was a crash or a bull run.

Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.

I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately over 2million dollars in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor can only be neglected, not rejected. Just do your due diligence to identify a fiduciary one.

I have a baby and on my own, and did the same. The key is having more money coming in able to go to baby, in a flow rather than a pond(savings). Having both is key. Money is like water. Burnout or emergency drains the pond really quick, but helping sustainability in flow acknowledges the constant of life. Living in a state of emergency is survival. Balance is preparedness along with nurturing mobility in life. Savings, And eliminating probability of burnout by having more money (energy) freed and flowing rather than stagnant not going anywhere

I’m not sure I can grasp the concept of selling a safe newer car with low maintenance costs to get into a used car with unknown maintenance costs. Why not keep the car when maintenance and payments are more predictable? I lived with no note for a few years but the maintenance costs equated to a car note.

I know this is controversial to say and I have heard the exposition of Dave about the $1000 emergency fund - but going down to $1,000 emergency fund with a young child and one income is foolish. Got to have more margin in their position. They need to aggressively attack their debts, but seriously leave at least 5K in the checking/savings account. 4K is not going to make a big difference in paying off debt.

And why do you believe that? Those words were changed or added several hundred, sometimes over a THOUSAND years after the man walked the earth. He didn't leave a book. And those who do write about him, contradict eachother. Was there guards, or not? Was there zombies, or not? Was the whale story altered to fit the "prophecy", or not? Is the sacrifice of God's prophet a good thing, or do you read the old testament where the "wicked man will be reminded of his wickedness no more" if he merely repents, no murder required?
So many questions, the Bible answers none of it, only creating more questions and issues.
