Any clue why my stabilization menu isn't showing up? I only have image processing, project management, and file properties. Everything was shot on pro mode so I don't get what I could be doing wrong for an entire menu to not appear...
Hey albert i cant decide if i buy a insta 360 go 2 or a caddx peanut Want to use it for fpv and as an action camera, im afraid that i couldnt use any acessories with the peanut What you think?
Thanks for the tips Albert. Question for you: is there any way to get the Go2 to retain your pro video settings like color temp/shutter speed etc so that they remain set the next time you turn on the camera? In my case I'm using the Caddx Peanut version of the GO2, and I have to pair with the android app each time I turn on the camera and re-set those values (or just accept the defaults)
AFAIK, manual settings are only available via the app and it will use auto/default if just using the buttons. I wish it would save the last used settings but it doesn't yet. Maybe in a future firmware update?
Thanks for this detailed video, Albert. My Go 2s are my go-to cams these days! Have you ever run into a corrupted video file? I had a particularly epic fixed-wing flight in which the file was corrupted (I think the battery died while recording) and neither the mobile app nor the desktop app (nor VLC) can read the file. Any experience or knowledge about how I might go about recovering it? I tried Wondershare Repairit and when supplying a good file with the corrupted file it seems to identify the parameters but won't export. Even if it exports, I'm not sure the gyro data will still work (it was a PRO format).
I did on the Peanut which I don't have anymore (lost in a crash). Was not able to recover the file. Has not happened on the GO 2. Perhaps you're on older firmware? I think I was on old firmware on the Peanut.
Good morning Albert. Even though I don't own the Insta360 Go, I figured there would be general info good for any action camera. Excellent explanation and demonstration of the settings you use for fpv. Happy flying everyone. 🤓
I completely agree in flying in standard picture profile. I tried using log for a while but struggled with grading later. It's easier to start with a good baseline and standard does a great job. Again, great info and keep it up!
Thanks Albert. The most annoying thing about GO2 is that it does not remember manual settings when you take it out of the case and put on your quad. What I do is then connect via mobile app and set it up for manual settings and all my parameters and then hit record before I fly. This is the only way I was able to get the pro video with manual settings preserved. Do you all have the same, or how do you manage that?
Just connect the app and put in my settings before I fly. Takes an extra minute but I'm pretty fast at doing it now. I have asked them for a firmware update with an option to save settings but that hasn't happened yet.
Fantastic tips, Albert! Thanks a bunch! 😃 That's a pretty impressive little camera. It's amazing for its size! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Really important when setting this camera up. Out of the box, if you take the camera out and push the button you'll record in STANDARD MODE. The way to fix this without having to connect the app all the time is in the settings IN THE APP. You would think this setting is in the camera but it is not. In the app there is a settings page with a bunch of settings. Alas. So open the app in your phone and connect to the camera. Then go to settings. In the settings there is a setting called Button Settings. Hit that. In there you can remap the shooting modes and make sure it shoots pro video when you hit the button on the camera. Save it. Now you can stop pulling out your hair.
After testing my Tinyhawk 3 holding 26 extra grams (4 dimes & 3 quarters) and getting a run time of 3min 20sec at a stationary hover on a 450mAh 1S, I decided to get one of these cams yesterday. Insta360's site didn't have the 64GB version in stock, so I ordered from B&H. Also got a white and black polka dot shirt to camouflage it while wearing on the pendant (ASIN B07PKD3JMT). I expect optimizing mount weight vs vibration dampening on such a small quad will keep me busy. I look forward to testing your settings. Gonna start by ordering a set of filters.
Yeah, people were saying this camera is no good but it can be really good with some changes to the settings. Just trying to help everyone get the most out of this camera.

Just a little bit of work to get better video footage. Nice job!
Yeah thanks
Thanks a lot man, helped improve things a lot already.
I thinking to get insta 2 go for my little drone 👌geprc 25 smart...
😎
@@AlbertKimTV hopefully won't be any jello on footage 😂

What you think?
If you need versatility, get the GO2
You do such good reviews and are very good at explaining everything!!!! Always enjoy when you post!!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for good info 🙏 Anyway what nd filter you usually use ?
Depends on the lighting situation. When very sunny ND64. Cloudy days ND8. Somewhere in between, I have to check manually in the app.

Hey quick question! Can you change default mode or do we always have to select promode before shooting a video?
You can change what the buttons do for default shooting mode in the app.
@@AlbertKimTV thanks!

I can't find the link to that 3D printed mount? did I overlook it in the description?

Do you prefer to use the Go 2 over the Caddx Peanut?
I lost my Peanut in a drone crash so obviously I only use the GO 2.

IMO it’s an issue on iOS try manual settings and swipe down on the ios control panel and the settings go back to video mode.
So useful...thank you
Glad it was helpful!

I pretty much had my locked in but you covered a couple extra key points I'll have to try out
I've been playing with other settings lately since I made this video... I may have to make an update later.

Yes, I forgot to mention changing the button settings. Thanks for the reminder.
Yeah but unfortunately you can't make it remember your iso and shutter speed settings

Camera settings are the thing that can make your video ruined or shine, and some other things too.
