We stayed at Blake island years ago in my Dads Hardin 45 ketch. Kept dragging the anchor pretty sleepless night.

Looks like you have a heater built into the boat...does it work? Also always bring and wear earplugs while sleeping...all kinds of non important noises that can keep you up....Great Vid...do more...SV Aquila.

    Enjoying your videos.
If you don't mind me asking is this your first boat or did you start out on something smaller?

I'm not him obviously, but im 22 years old on a 25ft Catalina in Everett WA and this size boat is easily manageable for a solo sailor and is a joy with 2-3 people including myself. If you're looking at getting into sailing here's 2 books you'd be wise to get and will likely be the only 2 you need supplemented by the internet of course: the Annapolis book of seamanship & don casey's boat maintenance manual. good luck and fair winds

Nice video! Grew up sailing out of PO. Now I own my own boat in Des Moines. Rich passage is no fun. How do you winterize your boat and outboard?
