Was Pikachu ever strong in battle? I don't think it was. It has pretty meh stats compared to other Pre-evolutions. Aside from Speed, of course. In fact, Pikachu was never good. We all aimed for one because it was the only Electric Type you can get before the 3rd Gym, and it didn't need a TM for STAB. Raichu is the good one.
I will not lie. When Magmar first appeared in his debut episode something about it screamed most dangerous and strongest fire type ever. Even though now it's no longer true; I still enjoy his debut episode and the sense of overwhelming power and danger he presents. But again his debut intro and theme just scream danger and power. It's cool he's not number 1 but at least he made it high on the list. His new evolved form Magmorter had some getting used to. Magby however I liked right away.
TBH I like Bulbasaur more than any other starters. Although I don't like his evolutions. I think this guy is better if he stays as it is I mean look how badass is in the anime. He is probably one of the best unevolved pokemon Ash has ever had. Not to mention that first time when i played Pokemon I chose Bulbasaur but then after some time I decided to change for Charmander because I really loved Charizard in the anime.
10. Golem's decent, but I don't really care too much for him (I refer to pokemon genders depending on their design). I'm pretty sure everyone used diglett. 9. Overrated. I don't like mewtwo's design. I mean, he's powerful, but that's it. 8. I like Charizard too. On each evolution the squirtle line is better in my opinion, but I like the charmander line more than the bulbasaur line. Oh, and that charizard was a top contender for fire-types line was true. I trained a ponyta into a lv. 41 rapidash, a growlithe that's still on my team as a lv. 49 arcanine, and a moltres currently at lv. 53. My charizard is currently at lv. 54 and is the fire-type specialist (arcanine needed fire blast and moltres, well... ...needs to learn sky attack right now!). 7. I really think gengar should be in smash bros. instead of jigglypuff. Gengar's my favorite ghost-type and knows psychic, hypnosis and confuse ray. He was crucial in catching the legendary birds. Thanks to my best friend (his TH-cam name is UndertalePlays), gengar defeated steven on my first playthrough of omega ruby. 6. Meh, I prefer the pre-evolutions, especially dragonair. When Pokemon yellow still had a functioning save battery, I had a dragonair. 5. Favorite eevee form, one of my favorite electric-types and he, too was crucial in catching the legendary birds. 4. Pokemon League was easy thanks to him and articuno, but moltres is still my favorite legendary bird and one of my favorite legendaries. 3. In my opinion, many pokemon (especially squirtle) are cuter, but mew is still good. 2. I'd like him more if he didn't have the duck-lips and butt-head. I find electabuzz to be better and cooler. 1. I used him to get eevee forms for the pokedex in RBY (when I still cared) and he's cute, but I LIKE SQUIRTLE WAY MORE! I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH!! ...Good list, man.
10 - Golem - I think it’s a great choice, but I do think it’s too slow and the trade too get is unfortunate. 9 - Mewtwo - I think it’s great too, and it does seem like it’s cheating, and I don’t think it’s bad in Smash Bros. 8 - Charazard - I like Charazard a lot, Fire is my favorite type so I could really burn your grass types if I could get the hang of the competitive side. 7 - Gengar - Being another trade to get is really unfortunate so I don’t like it. 6 - Dragonite - I couldn’t get a Dragonite so I couldn’t get to really experience it first hand. 5 - Jolton - I feel like I’ve been missing out too, Eevee is my favorite for cute factor. 4 - Zapdos - I like Zapdos, but I’m more of a Pikachu fan because and cute factor and its popularity. 3 - Mew - I’ve never had a Mew, the only event Pokémon I’ve ever gotten were Darkria in Platinum and Hoopa(Sorry if I misspelled it) in Omega Ruby. 2 - Magmar - I think I’ve never had a Magmar so I feel like I’ve been missing out 1 - Bulbasaur - Great for you, but again I like fire types as well as the fast and powerful. Plus you like the “Smart” way, I would just go with Charmander and collect as many pokémon as I can. Gotta catch em all!
The team I use it 2 Charizards, 2 Gyaradoses, 2 Dragonites, and switching out occasionally with Mewtwo and Aerodactyl. It works, and I caught all 150, trained them, too. But I love using those three particular pokemon despite the obvious ice, ground, and electricity weaknesses. I don't have anyone to play against, so I play against the Elite 4. I used the rare candy duplication glitch; however, I did not use rare candies to level up my Charizards, Gyaradoses, Dragonites, Mewtwo, and Aerodactyl. They were raised exclusively from first form and in battles. Yes, I trained two Magickarp in battles.
My Top Ten favorite Pokemon from Generation 1 (Which is the only Generation I really like) are: 1.) Scyther, 2.) Sandslash, 3.) Golduck, 4.) Nidoking, 5.) Flareon, 6.) Bulbasaur, 7.) Ninetales, 8.) Pidgeot, 9.) Rhydon, 10.) Pikachu. The first 6 where my first Pokemon team when I beat The Elite Four for the first time in FireRed. :D
Why wouldn't you want to evolve your Bulbasuar? Evolving your Pokémon is the best thing that can happen. Besides, Pokémon are much stronger when they evolve.
10. Personally, I think Golem is quite mediocre. I'm one of those idiots who bases part of their opinion on a Pokémon from their design. Golem's bland looking, and I've found better options for Rock, Ground, and both at the same time (like Rhydon). 9. I've never found Mewtwo preferable. It's incredibly broken, but that's all it has for me. Then again, I haven't watched any of the movies, so my viewpoint is moot. 8. Overrated? Yes (A little). I prefer Blastoise after all. Terrible? My top 10: 10. Zapdos. It's overrated, my least favorite of the legendary birds, and the hardest to catch but it's the strongest and feels worth the effort. 9. Articuno. The middle child of the legendary birds in every way, but the most mysterious and (in gen 1 anyways) the easiest to use effectively, especially with how poor the ice-type was (and in some ways, still is). 8. Dragonair. I don't have an opinion on Dragonite, but I've effectively used a Dragonair before, and it worked pretty well. Besides, its simplistic design works. 7. Charizard. It's a little overrated but it's just objectively great, and the 2nd best fire-type in gen 1. 6. Jolteon. My favorite eeveelution, a classic sweeper and one of my favorite electric-types. 5. Gengar. My favorite ghost-type, poison-type, legendary hunter and go-to in Kanto for Psychic power (I'd rather use it than Alakazam for its somewhat better physical stats). 4. Blastoise. I loved it from the start and find it one of the better fully evolved starters. 3. Arcanine. A great physical powerhouse and dig user, as well as being incredibly cool-looking. 2. Moltres. My favorite legendary bird, the easiest to catch, and my all-out God of a battler in gen 1 with Fly, Fire Blast, Sky Attack and Hyper Beam. 1. Squirtle. Squirtle's my favorite of all time. HMs: Electabuzz, Scyther, Rapidash, Rhydon, Dewgong.
10: Jynx: I know she's an ugly Pokemon, but to be honest I liked the typing, Ice and Psychic typing, when I was struggling against the Psychic type gym in Firered my friend sent me his level 40 Jynx and I kept it through my Journey. But seriously it's an ugly Pokemon. 9: Golem 8: Chaizard 7: Venisaur: My first and only Pokemon I ever got to Level 100 and not only that from a bulbasaur was my first Pokemon ever and I kept it as a Bulbasaur until level 30. It was until the Psychic type gym I evolved this pokemon to an Ivysaur but I didn't like the design much, nore of Venisaur. Still powerful. 6: Sandshrew: I wasn't aware at the time that grass types were strong against Electric types so I sent my Bulbasaur into storage until I could find a pokemon to fight against the electric type gym which was a sandshrew, took down all of the electric gym leader pokemon with only needing to heal it once. Not only that, when I was on my last Pokemon against Lance Sandslash came in really handy. 5:Jolteon 4: Ratata: My first caught Pokemon which had stayed in my team in firered and not being put into storage once. Mainly because I taught it cut which I needed at the time. Also when I was against my first gym ratata managed to save the day against that Onix and it's evil Bide. 3: Lapras 2: Haunter, yeah I had no idea how to get a gengar at the time but Haunter did help me out through my journey still. 1: Magmar: Probably my favorite fire type in the whole franchise, not only did it help defeat my Rival in the League but also against all my rivals, Gym leaders and Elite four members in almost every game, up until Gen 4. I love this pokemon so much, also the Nickname has always stuck with this Pokemon since firered. *COALTRAIN.* I gave it that name due to it's prevolution.
Got to say I've never seen Charizard get hate in the videogame series, Pokemon cards is another story lol, the first ever Charizard (that one with 120 hp that does 100 damage) gets some people loving it and some people hating it lol. As for some Kanto Pokemon I like a lot, so many to choose... Starmie, Alakazam, Gengar, Mewtwo, Golem (though I like Starmie a bit more, I'm a sweeper person who likes my speed and high attack/special attack), Machamp, Venusaur, Persian, Dragonite, Gyarados, Jolteon, Vaporeon and Snorlax (such a great defense and can set up with Curse) honestly though , ranking them from 1 to 10 (13 in this case) is no easy task, they're all just so good!

Man. You are probably the first person on youtube to put Bulbasaur at nr.1 (or ANY type of list if you want). For some reason,the little guy is SOOOOOOOOOO underrated. Why? He is after all,my favourite starter too.
PS Don't worry about being judged for having good tastes. If it makes you feel better, I chose Charizard as my starter because of the box art in Firered. So I have more reason to be judged than you do.

predictable comments for a gen 1 pokemon countdown, GENWUNNER. and that keeps coming until you make a countdown for other gens, and don't say that they are unable to beat the first like almost all genwunners would say, I say almost because they're probably some that don't say that.

Here are my personal favorite Kanto Pokémon: 10. Charizard. It may be overrated, but it’s still awesome, in spite of its new weaknesses. 9. Alakazam. Awesome looking, really powerful, and having an epic Mega form. 8. Golem. It’s gotten better with time in my eyes, especially in Sun and Moon. 7. Starmie. Misty’s Star Pokémon is a good one, being one of the few Water/Psychic Types Out There. 6. Hitmonchan. It’s a boxer Pokémon that can learn elemental punches that got better when Iron Fist and the Physical/Special split happened. 5. Gengar. Ghost/Poison, scary yet funny, awesome Mega and stats, need I say more? 4. Mewtwo. This thing is my favorite Legendary in Kanto for its beastly stats and two Mega forms. 3. Eevee. So cute with so many different forms to take! 2. Electrode. Sure, it’s an upside down Poké Ball with eyes, but it’s lightning fast and can EXPLODE! 1. Dragonite. While not as good as the past, it’s still awesome today. But that’s just my opinion.
Just replayed the leaf green so I had to make some changes 10- Flareon (Its shiny I love and I just love it) 9- Blastoise/Venasaur (I love these two equally) 8- Aerodactyle (Great Rock type but you get it so late) 7- Victreebel (In the nuzlocke I am most died to rock tunnel, the little Bellsprout I had saved my butt) 6- Tauros (Named it Bully and it acted like one) 5- Starmie (Psychic, Ice Beam, Surf, confuse Ray......Why don't people use this) 4- Nidoking (This monster does not need an explanation) 3- Jolteon (Great eeveeloution and even better Electric type) 2- Sandslash (Swift, Rock Slide, Earthquake, and Brick Break. Remember Swift was physical back then and it was a good move for it, Plus this thing was a sweeper and it was a great addition to my team 1- Charizard (First off yes I know everyone was expecting it, with mega Charizard Y how can I complain)
My top gen 1. (In terms of battling/ moves) 10. Slowbro - can take hits, and I like to play defensively. 9.Dragonite - I just hate raising it and struggling to (to get to a dragonite) 8.Golduck - balanced stats with a good moveset. 7.Nidoking - traded nidoking leveled fast plus great moveset. 6.Ninetales - great sp. defense... Its moveset sucks besides flamethrower.. 5.Lapras - Surf, Ice Beam, and Psychic can take on so many pokemon. Plus great stats 4.Mr.Mime - Awesome defense, speed, sp. Defense. Magical Leaf and psybeam! Easy to raise 3.Charizard - Favorite starter, plus a large variety of attacks to choose from 2.Raichu - I could take out the entire elite with it! Plus it's good for catching pokemon. 1.Blastoise - Capable of taking hits and giving out massive damage. (Honorable Mentions: Pidgeot, Poliwrath, Clefable, Venusaur, Scyther.)

this list is based on the games Red Blue and Yellow my list would be: 10:Butterfree (always helped me forthe first arena in the yellow version) 9:Alakazam (pretty good pokemon and had a good movepool) 8:Magmar (same reasons CJ had) 7:Blastoise (its a tank thats the reason i needed XD) 6:charmander line (would be higher if it wasnt for the 4x rock weakness) 5:Snorlax (Pretty bulky and high HP) 4:Flareon (his Special stat was decent and Dat attack was high) 3:Vaporeon/Jolteon (i *LOVE* both since Vaporeon is a beast and Jolteon was (i think) the fastest pokemon in the first gen) 2:Lapras (like the design and the typing) 1:Ninetales (Special was REALLY high in the first gen and foxes are my favorite animals)

Blastoise I didn't get a charizard until I got charmander from beating Gym Leader Tower in Stadium. I found Mewtwo to be a challenge killer even though I still raised one myself. Snorlax balanced my team out despite having poor speed. I loved Eevees, but never used them against Elite four until Stadium. As for dragonair... I liked its appearance better than Dragonite.
Charizard my starter, nidoking the king of nido who SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BREED WITH NIDOQUEEN!If skirts and wailord can breed, WHY CAN'T THE NIDOS BREED? Snorlax, he is so big and soft, he can be a bed, unless he hardens. And he can surf, and in origins hyper beam from the eyes!
I didn't like any of the special or legendary pokemons... My preferred ones were: Koffing, Muk, Cloyster, Pinsir, Parasect, Snorlax, Jynx, Dormio and, I admit it, my favourite was Sandslash (I had a lvl 100 Sandslash as first pokémon). The remaning position goes to MissingNo.

I still don't understand why people pronounce it "zap-dose". There's clearly no E in the word so I can't understand why people people to read it as dose rather than doss. In fact, the three legendary birds end in the UNO, DOS, TRES (the spanish numbers 1-3) in that system Dos is pronounced doss, or at least more like doss than dose. I'm not trying to sound all high and mighty, and i'm not trying to be antagonistic, I just simply cannot comprehend why loads of people pronounce it like that.
My Charizard in pokemon Y is one of if not the strongest team member mega evolving it to mega Charizard-Y with the moves Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Air Slash and Dragon Pulse is an awesome moveset for him. Then giving a Charizard-X with the moveset of Dragon Dance, Dragon Rush/Claw, Flare Blitz and Earthquake is good too.

Its weird, Squirtle is definitely my favorite of the Kanto starters, yet whenever I played Red or FireRed I always chose Bulbasaur. Only in the games where you're offered the Kanto starters and not in Kanto (HG/SS, X/Y) I chose Squirtle.

3:00 Well actually they added to so that it could keep up. At the time Mewtwo was really struggling to keep up with the powerhouses of Kyogre and Groudon who not only had the same stats but also had very powerful abilities. It also had psychic rivals in Latios which had a better typing and Dioxis who had more favorable stats.

What's your opinion on Mega Manetric? It's like Jolteon, but with better sp attack, speed, defense, the ability to lower your opponent's attack stat, and overheat; a great fire type move so you have room for hidden power ice.
10. I have a shiny Golem I transferred from my LeafGreen Version to my Diamond version. 3. I never did get a Mew in any game :( I only learned about the Mew hack in recent years and have yet to replay Yellow for it.
Dragonite is probably my favourite and I taught my Dragonite fire punch so take that ice Pokémon, it also knew blizzard to take on it's fellow dragons (and owned lance)
Slowpoke is my all-time favorite pokemon. I have no I dea whhy, except for the fact that how lazy that he is kinda feels like how I am when I'm playing Pokemon.

I traded a vulpix for a Lapras that had wa4er gun,achent power , freeze dry and fissure. Lapras was my favorite pokemon already so having him made me love him more.
man my list for top ten gen 1 pokemon has changed time and time again over the years. I will say this though, Rattata is one of my favorites, and the cute little guy always will be.
Ninetails was better in gen 1 and 5, but the special split in gen 2 made it lose that awesome attack stat, but in gen 5 he had access to (in my opinion) one of the two best abilities in the game, but Charizard got access to that as well in gen 6.

I really think gengar should be in smash bros. instead of jigglypuff. Gengar's my favorite ghost-type and knows psychic, hypnosis and confuse ray. He was crucial in catching the legendary birds. Thanks to my best friend (his TH-cam name is UndertalePlays), gengar defeated steven on my first playthrough of omega ruby. 6. Meh, I prefer the pre-evolutions, especially dragonair. When Pokemon yellow still had a functioning save battery, I had a dragonair. 5. Favorite eevee form, one of my favorite electric-types and he, too was crucial in catching the legendary birds. 4. Pokemon League was easy thanks to him and articuno, but moltres is still my favorite legendary bird and one of my favorite legendaries. 3. In my opinion, many pokemon (especially squirtle) are cuter, but mew is still good. 2. I'd like him more if he didn't have the duck-lips and butt-head. I find electabuzz to be better and cooler. 1. I used him to get eevee forms for the pokedex in RBY (when I still cared) and he's cute, but I LIKE SQUIRTLE WAY MORE! I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH!! ...Good list, man.
10 - Golem - I think it’s a great choice, but I do think it’s too slow and the trade too get is unfortunate.
9 - Mewtwo - I think it’s great too, and it does seem like it’s cheating, and I don’t think it’s bad in Smash Bros.
8 - Charazard - I like Charazard a lot, Fire is my favorite type so I could really burn your grass types if I could get the hang of the competitive side.
7 - Gengar - Being another trade to get is really unfortunate so I don’t like it.
6 - Dragonite - I couldn’t get a Dragonite so I couldn’t get to really experience it first hand.
5 - Jolton - I feel like I’ve been missing out too, Eevee is my favorite for cute factor.
4 - Zapdos - I like Zapdos, but I’m more of a Pikachu fan because and cute factor and its popularity.
3 - Mew - I’ve never had a Mew, the only event Pokémon I’ve ever gotten were Darkria in Platinum and Hoopa(Sorry if I misspelled it) in Omega Ruby.
2 - Magmar - I think I’ve never had a Magmar so I feel like I’ve been missing out
1 - Bulbasaur - Great for you, but again I like fire types as well as the fast and powerful. Plus you like the “Smart” way, I would just go with Charmander and collect as many pokémon as I can. Gotta catch em all!
The team I use it 2 Charizards, 2 Gyaradoses, 2 Dragonites, and switching out occasionally with Mewtwo and Aerodactyl. It works, and I caught all 150, trained them, too. But I love using those three particular pokemon despite the obvious ice, ground, and electricity weaknesses. I don't have anyone to play against, so I play against the Elite 4. I used the rare candy duplication glitch; however, I did not use rare candies to level up my Charizards, Gyaradoses, Dragonites, Mewtwo, and Aerodactyl. They were raised exclusively from first form and in battles. Yes, I trained two Magickarp in battles.

10. Personally, I think Golem is quite mediocre. I'm one of those idiots who bases part of their opinion on a Pokémon from their design. Golem's bland looking, and I've found better options for Rock, Ground, and both at the same time (like Rhydon). 9. I've never found Mewtwo preferable. It's incredibly broken, but that's all it has for me. Then again, I haven't watched any of the movies, so my viewpoint is moot. 8. Overrated? Yes (A little). I prefer Blastoise after all. Terrible? My top 10: 10. Zapdos. It's overrated, my least favorite of the legendary birds, and the hardest to catch but it's the strongest and feels worth the effort. 9. Articuno. The middle child of the legendary birds in every way, but the most mysterious and (in gen 1 anyways) the easiest to use effectively, especially with how poor the ice-type was (and in some ways, still is). 8. Dragonair. I don't have an opinion on Dragonite, but I've effectively used a Dragonair before, and it worked pretty well. Besides, its simplistic design works. 7. Charizard. It's a little overrated but it's just objectively great, and the 2nd best fire-type in gen 1. 6. Jolteon. My favorite eeveelution, a classic sweeper and one of my favorite electric-types. 5. Gengar. My favorite ghost-type, poison-type, legendary hunter and go-to in Kanto for Psychic power (I'd rather use it than Alakazam for its somewhat better physical stats). 4. Blastoise. I loved it from the start and find it one of the better fully evolved starters. 3. Arcanine. A great physical powerhouse and dig user, as well as being incredibly cool-looking. 2. Moltres. My favorite legendary bird, the easiest to catch, and my all-out God of a battler in gen 1 with Fly, Fire Blast, Sky Attack and Hyper Beam. 1. Squirtle. Squirtle's my favorite of all time. HMs: Electabuzz, Scyther, Rapidash, Rhydon, Dewgong.
10: Jynx: I know she's an ugly Pokemon, but to be honest I liked the typing, Ice and Psychic typing, when I was struggling against the Psychic type gym in Firered my friend sent me his level 40 Jynx and I kept it through my Journey. But seriously it's an ugly Pokemon.

7: Venisaur: My first and only Pokemon I ever got to Level 100 and not only that from a bulbasaur was my first Pokemon ever and I kept it as a Bulbasaur until level 30. It was until the Psychic type gym I evolved this pokemon to an Ivysaur but I didn't like the design much, nore of Venisaur. Still powerful.
6: Sandshrew: I wasn't aware at the time that grass types were strong against Electric types so I sent my Bulbasaur into storage until I could find a pokemon to fight against the electric type gym which was a sandshrew, took down all of the electric gym leader pokemon with only needing to heal it once. Not only that, when I was on my last Pokemon against Lance Sandslash came in really handy.

4: Ratata: My first caught Pokemon which had stayed in my team in firered and not being put into storage once. Mainly because I taught it cut which I needed at the time. Also when I was against my first gym ratata managed to save the day against that Onix and it's evil Bide.

2: Haunter, yeah I had no idea how to get a gengar at the time but Haunter did help me out through my journey still.
1: Magmar: Probably my favorite fire type in the whole franchise, not only did it help defeat my Rival in the League but also against all my rivals, Gym leaders and Elite four members in almost every game, up until Gen 4. I love this pokemon so much, also the Nickname has always stuck with this Pokemon since firered. *COALTRAIN.* I gave it that name due to it's prevolution.
Got to say I've never seen Charizard get hate in the videogame series, Pokemon cards is another story lol, the first ever Charizard (that one with 120 hp that does 100 damage) gets some people loving it and some people hating it lol.
As for some Kanto Pokemon I like a lot, so many to choose... Starmie, Alakazam, Gengar, Mewtwo, Golem (though I like Starmie a bit more, I'm a sweeper person who likes my speed and high attack/special attack), Machamp, Venusaur, Persian, Dragonite, Gyarados, Jolteon, Vaporeon and Snorlax (such a great defense and can set up with Curse) honestly though , ranking them from 1 to 10 (13 in this case) is no easy task, they're all just so good!

Here are my personal favorite Kanto Pokémon:
10. Charizard. It may be overrated, but it’s still awesome, in spite of its new weaknesses.
9. Alakazam. Awesome looking, really powerful, and having an epic Mega form.
8. Golem. It’s gotten better with time in my eyes, especially in Sun and Moon.
7. Starmie. Misty’s Star Pokémon is a good one, being one of the few Water/Psychic Types Out There.
6. Hitmonchan. It’s a boxer Pokémon that can learn elemental punches that got better when Iron Fist and the Physical/Special split happened.
5. Gengar. Ghost/Poison, scary yet funny, awesome Mega and stats, need I say more?
4. Mewtwo. This thing is my favorite Legendary in Kanto for its beastly stats and two Mega forms.
3. Eevee. So cute with so many different forms to take!
2. Electrode. Sure, it’s an upside down Poké Ball with eyes, but it’s lightning fast and can EXPLODE!
1. Dragonite. While not as good as the past, it’s still awesome today. But that’s just my opinion.

10. Slowbro - can take hits, and I like to play defensively.
9.Dragonite - I just hate raising it and struggling to (to get to a dragonite)
8.Golduck - balanced stats with a good moveset.
7.Nidoking - traded nidoking leveled fast plus great moveset.
6.Ninetales - great sp. defense... Its moveset sucks besides flamethrower..
5.Lapras - Surf, Ice Beam, and Psychic can take on so many pokemon. Plus great stats
4.Mr.Mime - Awesome defense, speed, sp. Defense. Magical Leaf and psybeam! Easy to raise
3.Charizard - Favorite starter, plus a large variety of attacks to choose from
2.Raichu - I could take out the entire elite with it! Plus it's good for catching pokemon.
1.Blastoise - Capable of taking hits and giving out massive damage.
(Honorable Mentions: Pidgeot, Poliwrath, Clefable, Venusaur, Scyther.)

I didn't get a charizard until I got charmander from beating Gym Leader Tower in Stadium. I found Mewtwo to be a challenge killer even though I still raised one myself. Snorlax balanced my team out despite having poor speed. I loved Eevees, but never used them against Elite four until Stadium. As for dragonair... I liked its appearance better than Dragonite.

I still don't understand why people pronounce it "zap-dose". There's clearly no E in the word so I can't understand why people people to read it as dose rather than doss. In fact, the three legendary birds end in the UNO, DOS, TRES (the spanish numbers 1-3) in that system Dos is pronounced doss, or at least more like doss than dose. I'm not trying to sound all high and mighty, and i'm not trying to be antagonistic, I just simply cannot comprehend why loads of people pronounce it like that.
My Charizard in pokemon Y is one of if not the strongest team member mega evolving it to mega Charizard-Y with the moves Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Air Slash and Dragon Pulse is an awesome moveset for him. Then giving a Charizard-X with the moveset of Dragon Dance, Dragon Rush/Claw, Flare Blitz and Earthquake is good too.

Well actually they added to so that it could keep up. At the time Mewtwo was really struggling to keep up with the powerhouses of Kyogre and Groudon who not only had the same stats but also had very powerful abilities. It also had psychic rivals in Latios which had a better typing and Dioxis who had more favorable stats.

What's your opinion on Mega Manetric? It's like Jolteon, but with better sp attack, speed, defense, the ability to lower your opponent's attack stat, and overheat; a great fire type move so you have room for hidden power ice.
10. I have a shiny Golem I transferred from my LeafGreen Version to my Diamond version.
3. I never did get a Mew in any game :( I only learned about the Mew hack in recent years and have yet to replay Yellow for it.
Dragonite is probably my favourite and I taught my Dragonite fire punch so take that ice Pokémon, it also knew blizzard to take on it's fellow dragons (and owned lance)

I traded a vulpix for a Lapras that had wa4er gun,achent power , freeze dry and fissure. Lapras was my favorite pokemon already so having him made me love him more.

man my list for top ten gen 1 pokemon has changed time and time again over the years. I will say this though, Rattata is one of my favorites, and the cute little guy always will be.

Ninetails was better in gen 1 and 5, but the special split in gen 2 made it lose that awesome attack stat, but in gen 5 he had access to (in my opinion) one of the two best abilities in the game, but Charizard got access to that as well in gen 6.
