    • @terrifendi
      @terrifendi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      S. - Yep ... 10 new ear piercings in a 3 month period May-August Already had my single lobes. Newest additions: Left ear: 2 more lobes, tragus, conch and single helix. Right ear: 2 more lobes, rook and double helix. So a total of 6 on each ear. Healing has gone pretty well but the cartilage piercings go thru spells of not so great. But I love them all!

    • @aassttrrr
      @aassttrrr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Terri Fenwick wow!! That’s really badass of you! I wish I had the guts to get my conch pierced, but just today I got an upper lobe and it hurt like a bitch. How was your conch experience? Would you do it again?

    • @terrifendi
      @terrifendi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      S. - none of my piercings hurt me much at all. Probably a pain level of 2-3 at the most for all of them. Conch was a breeze. So was the rook. The second double helix was definitely more painful than the firsr but that’s normal for multiple piercings at once. Single helix was a breeze. Soooo many sea salt soaks sooooo little time ... lol.

    • @ThePiercingOutlet
      @ThePiercingOutlet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      It is possible.. if your hair keeps snagging your piercing, if it gets wrapped around your earring, and even leaving your hair wet can affect your piercing.

    Infections are rare for most people and less you have overly sensitive ears. I and my mother have overly sensitive years so it’s normal and common for us. Every time we get piercings they get infected it doesn’t matter what definitely matters what jewellery repair Swift if we pierce with, but we are allergic to which is nickel then, yes, of course we’re gonna get an infection really bad, but we still get infection by the guard list of repairs with gold or surgical steel now golden surgical steel we do not get as often but some people have what’s called sensitive ears and so they are prone to infections doesn’t matter how clean they keep their piercing with a sister body will just get an infection no matter what.

    Just to make sure I have it right, if I use the saline spray, literally all I do is spray it onto the ear and that’s it? Do I just spray it onto the front of my earlobe or do I spray it onto the back too?

    Great video. With regards to the saline solutions, any thoughts on the Hydrasense Nasal spray? It's a sterile, saline spray with 0.9% sodium Chloride, just like the Neilmed, H2Ocean and other saline wound washes. I know it's meant for the nose, but wasn't sure if it could be used as well as it's easy to find at our local pharmacy

    Hi! I have a few questions. (My piercer was pretty vague on the cleaning process.)
    1. Is H2Ocean sufficient enough to clean my piercing, or should I use warm water as well?
    2. Is it necessary to use a q-tip/gauze with H2Ocean, or do I literally just spray and go for it to get clean?
    3.Also, is it okay to let it air dry?
    Thank you in advanced!!

    • @ThePiercingOutlet

      Hey Jasmine.
      H2ocean is sufficient enough.

I have been using the h2 Ocean to clean them for the entire 8 weeks. NEED YOUR ADVICE ASAP...

      Could be the quality of the new jewelry. I would put the original jewelry back in and see a piercer that is a part of the Association of Professional Piercers.
      1. They are the best of the best when it comes to piercers, they will check out your piercing to see what's up
      2. They sell top quality jewelry that is best for piercings.
      You can find an APP piercer near you at safepiercing.org.

    • @9mler
      @9mler 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Dayquil yes, you can do that. You can use a piece of gauze to hold it on to the piercing to soak it, but definitely do not use cotton balls or q-tips. They WILL leave fibers behind in the fistula which you do not want, whereas gauze won’t do that.
      Minimal care is best. Don’t touch it, don’t twist it or play with it. Spray with sterile saline, use gauze.

    Do you recommend getting my ears pierced at pagoda? And do you recommend sterling silver for two piercings on the earlobe ?

    • @muscle2500
      @muscle2500 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nataly. D Don’t know if you got it pierced yet but, going to a professional piercer is SO much better for your ears or any body part that you pierce. A gun heals like a trauma wound while a needle heals like a cut. It heals better and is less likely to get infected. Pagoda, Claire’s and places like those are usually non-professional piercers who do it unevenly or in a not clean fashion. Definitely recommend tattoo places with body piercing options. I have doubles on my ear lobes and the needle doesn’t hurt, just a bit of pressure and a five second pinch. Another thing is body piercers, usually cost less. But, that’s usually. It was $60 for all 4 piercings at the place I went to. Even if you got your ears pierced already, this is just a tip for anyone reading this comment or if you want to get any more in the future. One more thing, I had my ears pierced in the past, from Claire’s and it got seriously infected and left a weird, white, above skin infection scar on my earlobe. Just be careful. Guns on earlobes generally don’t go too horribly but needles are safer, cleaner and are used by professionals.

    Hi can you clean your new piercings with contact lens solution? And my cartilage piercing is really really itchy so what do I do

    • @ThePiercingOutlet
      @ThePiercingOutlet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Tricia,
      Contact solution isn’t recommended. It has many added ingredients compared to sterile saline which is best for piercings.
      For the itching, compresses with sterile saline and gauze may take away some of the itching. Itching is normal but if it’s excessive, that’s not normal. Could be jewelry used or if you’ve been using contact solution that could be part of the itching. Sterile saline wound wash can be found on amazon or the first aide aisle of most drug stores

      Also, Where did you get it pierced? If it was Claires’s or Pagoda, the back may be on too tight. Taking the back off this early will risk the earring coming out and hole closing.

      My piercer said something similar, I'm supposed to swap mine out after 2 weeks for gold or sterling silver. I think 3 days is really early, maybe give it a week if that's the case? If your piercings aren't hurting a lot then you should probably swap em out for gold since the ones your piercer put in may not be suitable for longer term wear. In my case, one of my piercings are doing fine (it's been 5 days) and the other is still quite swollen up. I'm no expert though, that's just my better judgement.

    Alcohol peroxide, too hard for a piercing however, some people actually need that because their skin is so prone to infection that even salt water does nothing except for causing infection because their skin is too Sensitive to infection mine is so sensitive to infection, but I can simply just clean my ear with salt water into my ears. That’s the wrong, an improper way to clean it and it just boom gets infected.

    Salt water is not good for your piercings. All the time some people has overly dry skin or overly sensitive skin so they are so prone to infections that even salt water spray piercing cleaner causes infections to their ears. Unfortunately I have that so the only way I can heal minors with peroxide and alcohol peroxide to prevent alcohol does sterilize and keep clean. Otherwise, my piercing won’t heal at all. I tried it with a saltwater all it did was causing such a super bad infection to the point. I actually end up having all the doctors and get eardrops because my death piercing got so infected. It made me get an ear infection including my mom so that’s not for everybody.

    hopefully no panic buying bullshit has made these things a chore to find. i want to get my septum pierced and i want to make sure it doesn't get infected.

    taking my chances here bc i'm a bit worried abt my double lobe piercing. it's been 4 months since i got them and it still bleeds when i clean. and it's still tender to the touch. is that still normal? 😭

      shouldnt still be tender or bleeding. I would def have a professional piercer take a look at them to determine what the issue may be. Also may consider switching the jewelry to a different metal.

    I’m actually looking up videos of how to take care of my ears Before their pierce Because I don’t want to go into the freaking store and getting my ears pierced and not knowing what to do I need to have some knowledge and understanding😂

    So I don’t need to clean around my piercing with anything? Just spray it and let it dry? I just got my cartilage done and I’m really nervous about messing it up

  • @_2ace_

    On cleaning do I just spray it twice a day, Like one in the morning and at night?
    on placement does it have to be right dead in the center of the ear lobe?

    I got helix piercings (both) today... I’ve heard that you have to move the earring bar back and forth, rotate it, and use a Qtip. Would you recommend?

      I just got my helix as well she has a video up saying not to bc the fibers of the q-tip gets stuck on the piercing which causes irritation bumps it happened to her nose piercing

    Hey I am allergic to fake earrings and I was wondering if u put Vaseline on it, would you still get a rash?

    • @ThePiercingOutlet
      @ThePiercingOutlet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Vaseline isn't good for piercings. You can use what is called a metal allergy sleeve. You put the metal allergy sleeve in which creates a channel for the earring to go through and the metal won't touch the inside of your ear. Piercing Pagoda used to sell them, most likely still do.

      let me add that metal allergy sleeves are not meant for long term use. but are great for events for weddings and have to wear costume jewelry.
