This is a great video. My current recent double helix piercings and conch piercing are healing much more easily than my original earlobe piercings, specifically because the modern current advice is really good. The advice in the 70s was all the stuff that you said not to use. And I believe that using Neosporin on my original piercings caused me to develop an allergy to Neosporin, neomycin specifically. I love that the modern wisdom is sterile saline solution! It's so much easier and so much better!

Madh up some aspirin and mix it with purified water to form a paste, apply it to the piercing. You can Leave it overnight. That’s how i healed my keloid nose ring.

I actually use dial soap on my piercings especially new piercings, but what I do clean my piercings twice a day, once in the morning, once b4 bedtime. In the morning I only use saline solution, but b4 bedtime I have a bottle with 1/3 dial soap and the rest is filtered water, so I dilute it so it's not as harsh. Then go in with the saline solution after that.
I have a question for you can you use spirits or spray my dad told me to use it instead of using salt water so i was wondering if you can use it or not
My piercer was extremely specific and wanted me to use specifically a bar dial soap. Idk. Before like 3 years ago they said salt water but now it's bar soap. Also neosporin. I actually have the foam liquid kind that dries up. Hmm
@@ThePiercingOutlet no, actually bio oil is different from baby oil. It's usually used for scars, strecth marks, and uneven skin tone, also dry skin. Thought it might be helpful.
Felix Flobert bio oil is mineral oil. It is comedogenic and not even safe to use on your face unless you want acne :) hope your ears are well!! Just got my naval done the other day
I sadly just used bactine just now because i have a bump on my nose piercing and my aunt apparently says its good to use bactine and i had this nose piercing for basically a month now so idk if bactine is good for it or not im confused one minute it says it is next it says its not . I need help!
I really need help I got my ear periced six days ago and I got a infection the next day on my left ear because the earring was to tight on me and I have a thicker lobe on the left ear I then went to the docter and got prescribed medicine and to do Epsom salt soaks? And went the next day to another docter and told me to change the earring to a longer one and to use hydrogen peroxide until the infection is gone and she have me a shot . I’ve got my pericing changed and so much blood came out . because my ear is swollen the earring seems tight and I’m not sure if the hydrogen is going through the hole I don’t know what to do anymore it’s been hell

One of the ingredients is alcohol, which is something not recommended for piercings. 2. It's best to keep it simple, like saline wound wash. You have to figure out what’s irritating your piercing. It could be: Aftercare - what you’re using to clean your piercing. The metal - use something that’s of high quality. Or could be that you’ve recently hit it on something causing the swelling.

Like 12 years ago when I got my nose pierced they recommended saline solution, and bactine 2x per week. Things have changed so much

Soooo everything I’ve been using is bad

the vasoline helps the swelling not hurt as much while my lips started getting crusty

I actually use hydrogen peroxide but I mix it with sterilized water so it won't be too strong and it works fine.

No, table salt contains iodine. You need non iodized sea salt, or a saline solution.
