New viewer and Antigo resident here :) TH-cam recommended this video on my home page and the thumbnail pretty much forced me to click into it, excellent work on the video and thanks for showcasing our town.
Same here. I was going to say pretty much the same things. I saw the thumbnail, and I'm like, "hey, that looks like a pic from downtown", and sure enough, it was. 😊
I'm having so much fun watching, learning and reminiscing about Wisconsin. Thank you soooo much. I loved seeing the card catalog again. i loved the library when I was young. One day i remember walking into the waukesha library excited to look for a new book, But discovered that the card catalog was missing. I paniced .I had to use the computer. The kind librarian saw the look on my face , gave me a hug and assured me it would be alright and even amazing. She was right. Your channel is a huge gift. Thank you.
Such a wonderful historical town! There are many items / buildings well preserved. I especially liked that snow blower. I've never seen anything like it. I enjoyed this video. 😊❤
Me and a friend of mine used to play around in the abandoned roundhouse that was still in Antigo in the 1960s. Thanks for the memories and keep up the good work.
I had two friends in high school from Antigo that was both native Americans. I will have to visit there, since I am a railroad buff, and wanted to study architecture. Most of my family worked for the railroad and I was the last one. I was a draftsman and machinist for General Motors building train engines.
Lol you'd think that but as a resident of Antigo those historical building aren't being taken care of I haven't finished the video yet but we just in the last year had to knock one of our historic building down since the previous owner didn't keep it up to code and it was falling apart into the road
Antigo known for its dirt (silt loam). Definitely unique and interesting!! Love that museum! The wood is beautiful! I remember the card catalogs! Just like Marty I love the old clock works! Pretty cool old snow blower. Interesting that old train hub. Love that old log house. Very unique! Small towns always to seem to have an old cafe with good food. That is definitely a unique odd fellows building. My dad was a member of Odd Fellows. How cool that sign park is. Just like Marty I love old signs. Thrift shops in small towns are always cool to look through. That antique and vintage shop is really nice. Hoffman House is unique old historic building. Great name Old Spud Ice Creamery. Glad you found your ice cream. St Ambrose church looks special!! Definitely enjoyed this video!
My lovely Linda tenet worked for the news paper all of her career and knew every one and everything about the town of antigo she would tell you alot , I miss her very much .r.i.p. Linda
What a great video..wish I had your eye for things . been to antigo hundreds of times. When I was a kid back in the 60's my dad would stop at that Dixie lunch and get some chicken and dumplings.. don't remember the name of it back then...but it was good...
Marty should have gone into the bar when Sally went shopping. That’s what I do. Almost moved to Antigo when I was a kid. My father was thinking of buying a bakery there. Don’t think it was the one shown here, though.
I live in Antigo. This is sadly one of those places that has so much potential but its just not a great place beyond a quick stop in many ways (though we're trying and working towards a better town) I am excited to see the positive spin on our town though and will definitely share for my friends who aren't from Wisconsin to try and get them to visit me finally
I don’t live in Antigo anymore but it’s so nice to see an outsiders positive views of it! Lots of memories popped up for me throughout the video! Thank you for showcasing it!
Was up that way back in 1977 staying with some friends at their cabin on a lake just south of there. A great little bar on the lake with friendly folks everyone buying beers for everyone else all night long. Great times......
Sadly that rotating drive-thru is actually no longer there it was taken down and turned into a parking lot. I remember going through it as a kid with my parents thought it was the coolest thing

Sally rocks 👍

I almost certainly looked something up in the library using that very card catalog...
What? Libraries don't have the card indexes to look up books anymore? It's been a little while since I've been to a library.
They put them all on computers now I was part of it at the university then shelves holding cards went to dump
lol yeah I remember making those cards
Sally your voice is so cute lol
Lol,I rode thru this town 6 yrs ago on the bike..but didn't recognize that till you showed the train.Unfortunately the Museum was closed.
Thanks!
Thanks Richard!!

I always go to Antigo to buy used games at Mojo's. Next time I'm there, I'll have to check out some of these neat places you've shown me.
I love all the Mojo locations!
Hopefully Marty is doing well! He looks fit and trim!
Arno Hafemeister was the JI Case dealer on Hwy 64 East.
WHEN...MARTY MET SALLY 😅
Crosley actually made a car beck in 40's/ My Dad had one. They also had a refridgerator called Crosley Shelveador.
Oh nice! Thanks for sharing. I had no idea what they made. Now I do! 🤓
Whaaaaaaaaaat..........How are you going to miss the only drive-thru car rotating bank
Sadly that rotating drive-thru is actually no longer there it was taken down and turned into a parking lot. I remember going through it as a kid with my parents thought it was the coolest thing

HOW OLD ARE YOU AND MARTY ?
Hate to break it to ya, I live here and this town sucks.
Other than the museum , there really isnt much in Antigo
The sausage shop across from manaryds and taco John's and Maynard's are my go to places in Antigo. I drive from Shawano just for those 3 places.
You have the best thumbnails!
Marty ~ ‘ .. everywhere you look it’s gonna take a finger off, or rip half your clothes off!’ 😂😅
How about visiting Ashland, WI?
