Schwabach Kitchens is now no longer there. A disgruntled employee burned the place down about a month or two after this video was posted.

When I worked at the Western Auto HQ in downtown, KCMO, down in the sub basement, was an official fallout shelter. It still had some green metal barrels with yellow stenciled lettering for water storage and waste containment. I snagged one of them, but, I don’t remember what happened to it, this was back in the late, 70s.

Don't know where the other half of my comments went. You never want to build on old native American burial grounds. The old Ludington Hotel is unique and I no doubts is haunted since it seems like that old hotels are always haunted. The former Escanaba National Bank us cool. Love that site with the 3 historic buildings. That old museum could be haunted and is unique looking. Thanks for sharing about the Bonifas Family. First Presbyterian Church, Bethany Lutheran Church are beautiful. Love the looks of that Grey Victorian house. Love seeing where old drug stores are since I am retired pharmacist. I see they have a lot unique specialty stores. Love that Escanaba Mural on that brick building. Old Montgomery Wards sign brings back memories. Rosys Diner sounds like a place I would eat at. Pretty cool old brewery. Enjoyed your video!

Born and raised in Esky. Allegedly, that tall building [Harbor Tower] is a remnant of a time when they had higher hopes for the town. People were hoping it would boom into the size of something like Chicago, but obviously, that never came to fruition.

This video really brought back a lot of memories because it focused on my old neighborhood. I worked at House of Ludington and Gust Asp, I lived near the Carnegie Library (you almost got a shot of my house), I went to plays at the Bonifas Fine Arts Center, one of my friends actually lived in the light house back when it was an active military property, and my best friend and I used to climb on the old fire escape. He figured out how to jump up and grab it so it levered down to the ground. Some things have changed, but it really looks much the same as it did fifty years ago.

I think AT&T is still in Escanaba, Ameritech (one of the baby Bells) bought them a couple decades ago and took on the AT&T name. Fun video hope you guys tried one of GrandMa's pastys they use to be great. Stay safe and healthy.

@@MeanderingMarty That is truly amazing. I can't even find words!
On a different note, Sally is great nut you are too. The videos are even better when you participate more. Your insights and low key manner really go well with Sally's opinions and light hearted ways.
The dogs are also great. Can't go wrong with our non human family members.

@@MeanderingMarty Made a typo in my last post. "Nut" was supposed to be "but".
I am nearly 65 and my eyes are not too great. Plus, I hate typing on these tiny keypads.

About 1000 bucks for a smaller one that you would see commonly on rural fire stations or town halls.

I want to buy an old house because I just like the feel of old houses better, but it would be weird if there ends up being a ghost so maybe I should just get something newer to avoid that
