No its very hard it will twist the plastic weather stripping

It’s a metal rib. If you try drilling it, the rib will just move aside and you’ll miss it. Pro tip- use dykes to cut the metal rib where the spacers will go, mark your holes and then use a punch to make your holes through the trim piece. If you drill, you’ll make a complete mess of the hole as you can clearly see that this guy did. Using a punch is key. A punch will make the hole clean as can be.
