We're going to get dropped off at one trailhead, hike a few hours, camp (skills practice), wake up the next morning and complete the hike to the other trailhead. Keep up the great vids. @@bennybailey1520 the only issues I've heard of in Desoto is Mobile meth labs. So I'd camp away from the dirt roads as much as you can. A buddy and I are going on a trip in Desoto in a few weeks.
I have successfully dehydrated whole raw eggs. It takes just a little bit more effort that 'normal' dehydrating. They came out just like the powder you showed, but when water is added to them to 'egg' consistency, they fry up just exactly like scrambled eggs. They will keep for around two years, if you refrigerate the whole lot. Taking several (as a powder) to the woods for a week or so, is safe. Gotta say, they were delicious, just like whole, raw eggs. They can be used as an ingredient in other (including baking) dishes also, where the recipe calls for whole raw eggs..

.....Just found your channel and really like your simple man's approach to an outdoor adventure so I subbed. For roughing it sleeping on the ground, fold your tarp in half lengthwise and put your bedroll/gear inside to stay out of the dew , wind and light rain....Works for me..

Put a splash of baking powder in eggs ,rehydrate then you have to cook them like regular eggs.
Not hatin. You ate raw eggs. I put dehydrated eggs,onion peppers,bacon bits in ziplock, rehydrate then boil in bag, turns out great and easy.

You can "wild camp" in National Forests. State Parks and such charge a fee... State Parks in the ARKLAMISS areas $15-35 a night.

One of the best camping trips I ever went on was in Desoto. We camped near the river and ate catfish 3 meals a day for 3 days. It was great!
