This and the 2006 Infiniti M were really special when they debuted in the springtime of 2005. Of course the 2006 Infiniti M was the superior luxury performance sedan to go with. Car & Driver awarded it first place in a big comparison with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Jaguar S-Type, Acura RL, and this new redesigned Lexus GS. It’s a shame that the Lexus GS, Infiniti Q70 (formerly M), and Acura RLX (Honda Legend) are now discontinued. People just aren’t buying sedans like they used to and only want crossovers and SUVs these days unfortunately. 😢
I fell in love with GS when I’ve driven a ‘99 GS 300. It was a gem with cloth seats. I have now a ‘06 GS 300. These models are still on the road. It was definitely ahead of its time with the tech.
I was always a fan of the second gen Lexus GS 300 because if the infamous 3.0 liter inline 6 and the styling. The third gen is has a bigger interior, a newer styling, and more power with the V6. I'm not into the V8s in the GS model but there good to have for the smoother ride.
Wow. That is one POWERFUL 3.0 liter

I agree with you and also drive this great car in Japan.
This is my first car I own.
I've got a well used 09 AWD GS350. It still has decent power and handles very well in the snow
This Generation of the Lexus GS sedan came out in 2005 for the 2006 model year.
It shows "2005" at the end and it shouldn't.

Third gen has a tiny trunk
Always wanted a 460, but now seeing the engine problems of the LS I'll consider that 430.
Whoever told you the LS460 has engine problems lied to you
not engine problems only replace the panels, control arms and dashboard and you should have no other problems
Ls460 is a good car I have a 2008 Ls460 runs very well transmission shifts smooth I did replace my control arm I didn't experience the dash issues
