    I've been there. It's very cool. I also have been to DeSmit, SD, where the Ingles lived when Laura was a child. Highly recommend both places!

      In my library here, they have the books in Adult Format. I have to go back to that section. I read the child books when I was little. I just want to see how they were truly written the Adult Format was supposed to have been taken from her writings.

    My daughter took me on a mothers day trip here and precious moments chapel. One of the many fantastic mothers day gifts she has showered me with. Both little house and precious moments are my favorite things

    In an episode on the series, a Tornado destroyed Laura and Almanzo's house causing them to move back in with her Mom and father until the family got Almanzo to quit feeling sorry for himself because he was crippled. They showed where her father and Almanzo made a tiny little house right next to where their was house layed. I guess it was incorporated from the wood of the old place.
    Was that Hollywood hype or is that history?
    I still watch the old re-runs. Favorite show back then. Still among my favorites today.

    Welcome to humid misery lol the southern half tends to get more ice than snow so I'm guessing that's what that sign is about

    why is it such a small format? It's not fun to watch.😌

    It's bull. Mary wasn't blind in real life. She was blind for the little house on the prairie series but not in real life. So some of this info is not correct.

      @@wanderingwithwoodside I'm sorry but I saw a documentary on TV a few years back based on this family. Mary Ingals was never blind. Carrie never had children , but married a man with children. And PA n MA never could have a son due to a DNA/ chromosome defect. It was very informative. That's where I got my info from.

    • @wanderingwithwoodside
      @wanderingwithwoodside  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Carmenlqm There were certainly liberties taken with the TV series. I wouldn't argue against that. 😊
