- Come to beautiful Mansfield, MO to learn about the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder and discover the home where her daughter, Rose Wilder, grew up. This is the last homestead that Laura's family moved to and where she wrote her books. The museum and home have many family heirlooms as mentioned from The Little House series, although no filming or photos can be taken inside her home.

Laura Ingalls es una mujer extraordinaria. Su historia es una inspiracion y un ejemplo de valores familiares para las futuras generaciones. Pienso que nunca se imagino como su historia de vida plasmada en sus obras serviria a tantas familias. Tiene todo mi respeto y admiracion por sus logros.

Yes I'm an avid little house watcher,watching it now ,,life seems to go by so fast I'm was 1970 s kid an I think it was the best generation ,I got my own stories of war in Cambodia ,to many refugee camps in Thailand an Philippines to life in America to owing few donut shop now .ahh the good ole day .how time flies ,my generation will be forgotten in few hundred years ,but it sure beat 2022..nice video.
I live two hour's from there it's a beautiful place....

I was watching a piece with Melissa Gilbert in her home. She had gotten the fiddle that Michael Landon played in LHOP on an eBay auction. She also had one of the little dresses she wore in the first episode . I am glad that some of the memorabilia have been kept together by someone who appreciates its significance.
yes! we were surprised by how much the family kept and everything that was on display in the house and in the museum. In the house she had Rose's stuff/library and Almanzo's bed and several tapestries and things Rose brought her back from her travels. Ma's "china doll" was in the gift shop as we later discovered behind glass :)
Lovely family, we watch the series everyday on TV, in Italy, channel 27.
MO it's a little bit like Veneto
We had no idea so many Italians love Laura! We grew up on the show too and read some of the books in grade school! I'm assuming Veneto is beautiful and peaceful as well! Everyone we met in Missouri was super nice too! Thanks for sharing that Andrea!

After visiting the museum, I've realized the real hero is Ma (Caroline) Ingalls who followed Pa with the children to start over every move :)
Wisconsin to Kansas to Iowa to Minnesota to South Dakota, then Laura married Almanzo and moved a few more times, ending here!
