Hi, your tips are pretty good. I have a brand new tip for artists of all types. I just started making comics and am using bittubers for my comics. It is a new site and I have grown my following pretty fast for only just starting and already earned some money too. So if you are someone who would like to grow a following and earn a little money and are okay with trying new websites then I would recommend you check out bittubers.
Thank you for this helpful content! My question is how often did you post? I'm realizing that while building my personal brand and my 3d art business that its possible to have more content one than the other but it doesn't mean that it's a bad thing. What is your perspective on this?
1. *DON'T* convince people to support your work. *DO* make it available. 2. *DON'T* spam people. *DO* be strategic. 3. *DON'T* just inform people. *DO* create a dialogue. 4. *DON'T* post the same thing on every platform. **DO** understand the platform you're using. 5. *DON'T* just be a business. *DO* show some personality.
In a world of fake, fabricated, click baity, junk food media - it is really refreshing to hear your words and the heart behind them. Most days I want to just throw all of social media away, but hearing you talk about it with such authenticity you give me hope that it isn't all dross out there. Thank you for the work that you do, and for being a good example to follow in how to do art/social media with authenticity.
God’s timing is so perfect! He has been telling me the last couple of weeks that I need to share my artwork and not just keep it to myself. I just didn’t know how to go about doing that. So I’ve being praying for answer and today he gave me an answer! Hallelujah! Thank you
I love that God is so encouraging like this. I was at our local mall in my city just looking for a nascar hat. When i couldn't find one the Lord told me to make my own.
Awesome! I missed the set sail's videos, I'm glad you are back. I really appreciate your work, and hope one day it will be me sharing my art. You are my inspiration! God bless you all. Greetings from Brazil.
Aloha Jonathan, I really enjoyed all of the information on your video...I am a fused glass artist on the Big Island of Hawaii with a brand new website and ready to learn all about promoting it! Thanks for the information!
Thanks for sharing this video, I've always really struggled to get anywhere with social media platforms. This has been so useful! It's very true that you focus on making the art but not so much the business side of things.
Great video. I'm always posting to social media aiming people to my TH-cam gallery channel. (videos seem to show the sculpture work better than a bunch of 2D pics). it takes so long to get a new sculpt complete I hope it keeps people interested!
did you just switch from coffee to tea? high five! thanks for the video bro! honestly I'm about to start new content about the things I love to do at work. it's a very acquired taste! in the real world I'm a podiatrist so I help people with any leg problems especially people who can't cut their INSANELY weird toenails! I really think I can make a video of these appointments with me helping people while restoring their nails.
I've always been a tea guy bro! But I'm trying out a lot of different ones these days. That's a really cool idea. Sounds like a great way to create content around your work!
Thank you for the video! This was really helpful and I have learned a lot. I do have a question though, I currently don’t have social media but I am thinking about making an instagram account for my artwork in hopes to sell my pieces. Would all of these same suggestions still apply to that type of account versus a regular personal account?
I'm just now trying to get into selling and promoting my art on social media, I hope this doesn't sound greedy but I wanted to make money off my art. I'm starting college soon and I'm not so sure where to even start lol. I did two college portfolios so I have art to promote, over 50 pieces but my main question is, do I have to have a loud social media personality? How much personality should you put into an art account that is primarily a business,? I don't want to come off as dry either. You seem to have a very chill, but business aura to you, do you have any tips to achieve this?
Hi!!! can you traslate this video ? Im in a group of prodducion in my church in Argentina, and they need to know this things, to improve at a professional level. Thanks!!
That's a really good idea! We've discussed doing something like this, but we're trying to figure out the best platform for it. Not everyone uses Facebook so we're trying to find something that works for everyone.
The clip from Real Housewives is way too frightening....yikes.lol... As always, I enjoy Set Sail and the music Rivers and Robots puts out. 💯♥️✝️😄🐥🙏🕊️ God bless you guys.
If you have any questions on social media or tips and things that have helped you with social media, feel free to share them in the comments!
Thank you. A good overview of Do's & Don'ts!

This is so timely. I'm about to announce the completion of a Christian graphic novel I've been working on for 2 years. Really want to do it right!
That's amazing! Let us know when you do, would love to check it out.
@@MagnifyStudio Do you guys have a public office address, or an address that people send letters or fan mail to? Would love to send a copy over. :)

This isn’t question related to the video but... that room looks really cool!! Could you make a video just showing and explaining your room??
My first search for putting my art out there into the universe.
You guys make me so happy and your outro song makes me smile everytime. Praising the Lord for you and what you guys are doing for His glory.
Thank you Kaitlyn! 🙏🏼

I would say so yes! There are still ways to show personality and be interactive even if it's a business page.
I’m making everything as you said and I didn’t get single commision for over a year.. maybe it’s just the pandemic issues
What's the name of the music at the end?
The Set Sail Video blog theme tune?

The Spotify Service of Orion Promotion .com had brought me the next level
Who's instagram story is at 7:15 with boxes covered with drawings? :DD
Is there a Facebook group where all artists can share their art, give/recieve feedback and be part of the Set Sail community?
That's a really good idea! We've discussed doing something like this, but we're trying to figure out the best platform for it. Not everyone uses Facebook so we're trying to find something that works for everyone.

They should convince the people to watch it 😂
why do social media companies want Government ID .?
Ikr
Ya none of this helped it's all just common sense that's very vague and does nothing for us wanting more specifics
I'm so annoyed of hearing fake British peoples accents 🙄
