Usually mangas get anime adaptation to increase its hype. Most of the time it happens if the popularity decreases a bit. In case of Sakomoto days. It gets more popolar week by week. But yeah. It gers an anime in a matter of time
@@shrumdumbi8718 I doubt (and hope) MAPPA won't since they have their hands full already and it's been made abundantly clear that working conditions are far from decent.
I hope whoever adapts Sakamoto Days into an anime realises that the main focus of the direction needs to be on the coreography's faithfulness to the original, it is simply the best I've ever seen in manga, nothing else even comes close to how creative and cool the action scenes are. And that's without a hax power system like Nen or Stands, simply brilliant work from the author.
Story writing at its peak is starting off at a smaller scale and continuing to grow, naturally creating the feel of an almost real world within the narrative
yeah but because of that for me personally the first 100 chapters were just alright. even at the start for the first 50 chapters or so its all about establishing the main characters so the fact that there's a rule where they cant kill people really sucked for that time where no characters were introduced who where actually killing, that wouldnt be bad normally but in a manga about assassins' and especially with how good the fights were at times it sucked not to see people die.
It was a good idea to open with discussion of real action choreography, because this manga does really have some of the best flowing choreography I've ever seen in a paper medium. The art style looks rough at first but it just adds to the fluidness of the action in such a cool way, I can't help but think intentionally.
I saw this video a couple months ago and it made me get into Sakamoto. I'm at volume 7 and it's so fucking hyped, and as I'm rewatching this video you show a lot of more panels I haven't even seen so far. This is easily one of my fav mangas, and I definitely can recommend it!

Sakamoto Days is incredible and I don't even think an adaptation is going to do it justice. Yuto Suzuki is clearly someone to watch out for in manga going forward. I don't know if it'll ever get an anime adaptation but I am hard pressed to imagine any studio taking it on and doing it right other than Bones, maybe
Sakamoto Days is so amazing and it's not just the action. The characters and the story. On the topic of action, each character has a unique style when fighting. Idk why it hasn't gotten an anime yet.
You've sold it to me the moment you compared the main antagonist to Makishima. I've watched the 1st season of psycho-pass like 5 times all because of that guy
Not gonna lie, Shishiba and Osaragi's dynamics for the first time in history brought back Shin & Noi from "Dorohedoro" before my eyes and that's probably the highest praise I can give to any "side duo" in a story. I'm a bit behind with all the chapters (I'm somewhere in the middle of school infiltration arc), but I can be sure that my eventual binge will be legendary :3
I started reading Sakamoto Days after I found out about the Anime man's video about Sakamoto Days. I gotta say, its truly a hidden gem. Great action, memorable characters, a compelling story, & visually appealing art, its a perfect manga for a potential anime adaptation that I can only patiently wait if it will ever happen.
So basically this is the shonen manga serialized version of "A history of violence" except instead of a diner the main character owns a convenience store, with a little bit of the elements of john wick (the assassin's association part) and elements of Mr and Mrs Smith ( both husband and wife and some of their friends are former assassins)
The reason I checked off this manga after like 2 chapters is that I've seen all this before. Every tropes and twists that you're describing here, I've seen them in John Wick. So, the more author tries to introduce cool and quirky characters, the more John Wick-like it becomes. Even if none of the character tropes are shared b/w the two, the spirit is the same - cook up quirky ways to use mundane objects for killing. I could be describing the wackiest idea like a dinosaur guy with a chainsaw on his head, spouting two chainsaws on each arm, riding a shark, and it'll still feel like John Wick.
I can't even tell if this rlly is underrated fr lol I think it's more like mfs judging by the cover. I rlly started to read this for laughs but I didn't expect it to be so intense. The part that makes it feel so perfect to me is that the story just keeps becoming more and more of something without missing at all like I fr can't remember anyone or anything that just didn't mean anything😭
I can see the author took a big inspiration in the character designs from Tokyo Revengers, The main character serious form is basically draken without the tattoo 😂
I wish, but some people consider it to be too over simplistic plot wise, just because it's not 2deep4u. Let's have faith that when the anime airs, they give it a chance. Sakamoto Days deserve its recognition.
I kept seeing Sakamoto Days pop up all the time and I kept eying it at the bookstore but never pulled the trigger on it. You convinced me to get it and I'll be buying the entire available set tomorrow!
I like nagumo the most because there is this one scene, where the enemy look at a glass thinking it was his reflection, but BOOM the reflection burst from the mirror, it was not his reflection it was nagumo
I'm currently writing a book. With hope of releasing it in the next two to five years. With the hope of. Gaining enough attention to get it turned into a. Comic or manga? The next 5 to 10 years. And if it's well enough, perhaps even an anime or TV show within 15 to 20? It just kills me when I see. So many similar ideas. And it makes me think, will it really even get any attention?
Hi, i am also working on a series of books, that will likely start coming out in a year or two, inspired by Berserk, A song of Ice and Fire, Stormlight archives and Jujutsu Kaisen, trust me the amount of times i experience the same thing you just described are endless, the dread of not being able to come up with anything original and the confidence that shrinks everytime you find something that is literally your thoughts is crazy, but that's how the game is, nothing really will ever be original, just like sakamoto days, just how many existant tropes and archetypes does it have, yet it feels unique to itself, don't let this effect your courage and make you lose your passion on this project, embrace it and take it as a challenge to prove yourself wrong, experiment and you will hopefully create something amazing, i would like it if you came back and remind me whenever you publish your work so that i check it out.
