    I wish more people would appreciate their grandparents. When you're little you enjoy the fun games and being spoilt. Then you get older and you don't tend to need them as much and you go abt your on life, and you may think old people are silly. But I tell you, you do need them and will see their value before it is too late.

    15 years ago, when I was 15, me and my Grandad had a holiday in Australia. It was amazing, and the one and only bloody fish and chip shop we went to was the exact same one you guys went to! Small world.

    This is so wholesome. I lost my Oma to COPD last November, she was only 74. I grew up with my great grandma and it sucks to know my future kids won't have that experience. My Opa is 80 and living the best he can on his farm with a dozen cats, I can't wait to visit him again. Please, talk to your grandparents and don't smoke cigarettes.

    Aww man this makes me so homesick for the normanville bakery, that old-person-south-'stralian Strine, and cornish pasties... My grandparents made the most sturdy cornish pasties back in the day, they'd never fall apart in your hands. They probably put some spare concrete in them or something, but they were bloody delicious.

      @@maddyg3208 in most towns I've been to its usually about 3.50 - 4 dollars per piece of fish and about 6 roughly for a large chips. I think coastal towns are also abit more expensive as the fish is usually fresh

    This absolutely melted my heart. I never grew up knowing my grandparents. I was that kid on Grandparent’s Day at school who had to ‘share’ a friend’s grandparent . How woeful. Haha. (Also, ew. The word ‘share’ has made me feel as though I said something extremely dirty).

      I know how you feel.
      My "Grandma" on Grandparents Day was a friend of the family that was also my babysitter. She was the right age, so some of the kids didn't realize we weren't related. It was really nice that she wanted to be there for me.

      Apparently the country folk of England moved to rural parts of America when it was colonized and the people from London and the big cities occupied places like NY so the culture and accents are quite similar, the same goes for Aussie

    I’m only 32 years old and I don’t have grandparents anymore that are alive, so spend time with yours and enjoy them while you can. I loved seeing this and miss being able to spend time with mine.
