This kit turns the minivan into a 100% functional living space where we can sleep, relax, eat and cook. this video is so useful, the presentation is good and clear, the more I like it
Hi again Ruud, wondering also if you are using 16 ounce propane bottles. I can’t find an adapter hose and the original steel connector does not place properly on the drawer designed for the stove without having to move it out of place. And I can’t seem to find a house design specifically for 16 ounce propane bottles.
Thanks Bill - actually I'm using 2 smaller butane stoves using 8oz butane bottles. They are quite inexpensive and easy to use. 16oz propane bottles in combo with larger stoves will no doubt bring space issues indeed.
Very good review. I really like the RoadLoft and I would have purchased one by now if it wasn’t for one thing. The bed is so long that there isn’t enough room for a toilet. I know they show one on their site but the seats have to be all the way foreword to make it fit and when it’s under the table it sticks up to high to make the bed. I built my own 6 ft bed and I have lots of room even when the driver’s seat is all the way back.
@@RuudNoordzij thanks Ruud, I saw the measurement as being 22.6 in Long and thought it wouldn't fit lengthwise so I was concerned. But it obviously fits in yours so I might go with that.
Hi Ruud, Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video review. Even if you seem resourceful and have found a good solution, we want to reassure you that your kit is not supposed to move like that. We invite you to check the levelers on the side of the kit that holds it in place. Maybe they just need to be tightened. For the suction cups, we have used them in all kinds of climates and they have always held up well. The trick is to clean the window well and to wet them a bit when sticking them on. Don't hesitate to contact us when you come across situations like these, it will be our pleasure to help you! Thanks again for the great review! :)
Thank you! Yes, realized (and I'll add that to my next vid) that the levelers on the side were not completed extended and as the side panel of the van are flexible I had to extend them a good bit in order to keep the kit in place (it still is, 5000 miles later). All good! Oh yes, if you'd have any ideas on containers to put in the "pantry" below the sink and stove drawers, please do feel free to share.
@@RuudNoordzij Good news! We are glad that this solution worked! As for the bins under the kitchen drawers, here are the dimensions of the ones we use: 24'' x 16'' x 8 3/4''. To help you even more, here is the link to get them: www.canadiantire.ca/fr/pdp/bac-rubbermaid-roughneck-37-9-l-0422964p.html#srp In closing, we wish you wonderful adventures with your conversion kit! :)
Hmmm, I’ve had the same problem, even after using the side levelers, and tightening them quite firmly onto the side panels. I’ve noticed the box does not slide when the front bench behind the front seat is attached, but I need to put this bench up behind the seats, as we travel at four in the van, so I noticed the benches slide forward when we are traveling. I am going to use those rubber mats as I think it will be a great solution.
I am sure you would have more views if you knew how to make the photos bigger, are you French Canadian like the company, your accent sounds like that (not like Tustin) near where I live!

@So Very Carrie - I uploaded an improved vid in landscape format which should give a better view: th-cam.com/video/c9Efx9XQak8/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing your solutions. Neat, inexpensive solution such as the Walmart anti-slip mat.

Seems it would be a challenge to have any kind of ports potty
True - in this setup it's best to keep the potty outdoors, i.e. in an outdoor awning set up

Thanks Ruud, nice video. Thank you. Would you be able to tell me what size your fridge is? I am still looking for fridge to fit with mine.
Thanks Bill - the JoyTutus Fridge is 42 liters in capacity and fantastic. Link is here: amzn.to/3u7e2Ux. Hope this helps!

Great review of road loft. The price is a little high. I love the design.

Do you have to remove the 3rd row?
Yes, removing the third row is necessary to make the fridge fit and also use the storage below the drawers
