Hey Rob, the way that Blizzard is thinking the end game is completly ridiculous... if one's out of luck person, it is completely pointless to spend any hour in the late game. So much MORE fun in leveling up. The 'progress' or rewards in the late game is about zero considering the hours spent. Just my 2 cents :) The 250 chest you just opened is just another the 'proof'.
Not even the new items we are supposed to be testing.
Rob, Looking at your S5 PTR Bash Barb stats, the Bash Temper amounts on your weapons aren't correct. The Bash Temper damage amounts have been lowered significantly in the PTR for Season 5. I'm not sure if you mentioned it in your video and I missed it, but it's still reflecting old ones in your S5 planner.

odd number team strikes again
Idk why they have issues giving people loot for completing content, same deal with lilith, 2 items first kill ever then not even 1 single item ever again. Everytime i think about it the game just feels less and less complete. And this is over 1 year after launch... QQ

Definitely the odd season team design and work. This is not something you would need player feedback on to know it's incorrect/not fun.
Seriously they need to fire the Odd team already. They suck.
This is little event bonus content where is rest?
So basically if they dont change anything this event thing is a waste of time especially if you're like me and hate wave mechanics in games
They can't even make masterwork and tempering less grindy
Hopefully they make adjustments prior to launch of season 5. Otherwise I might just opt out until the DLC and season 6.
You got to try Sorc Incinerate, something very good has happened to burning damage. I was playing shock build but was getting mainly cold and fire tempers and new/updated aspects, and realized weapon base mechanics have changed. So I roughly built an incinerate build stacking a lot of DoT damage, crit and crit damage. Played this build in S4 but dropped out in higher levels. S5, it's 10x better melts everything including bosses really damn quickly and Combustion actually works now.
they have to add something unique and special to these kind of season mechanics. Like adding a new unique item slot which can only drop in the infernal hordes for the season.
Last thing check out if you can put in new aspect that gives you 10K thorns by channeling, think whirlwind. The aspect is available for Necro and Sorc. Assuming it is viable for all channeling classes.
Dude the lightning spear skill is insane, with temper and passive can proc 4 spears at each time with firebolt and frost nova enchantments enhancing it, tals ring and new aspect that behaves like tals ring, and updated LS aspect, where electricity arcs from it and arcs are increased by your crit damage percentage. Its going to be a serious style of playing. They have also upgraded Vyrs, its become a boss killer.
Fix tempering and make master working less RNG dependent. I spent about 2K Neathiron yesterday just trying for a double crit bash and eventually ended up quitting for the season.
Season 4 did some good things. Fix the above 2 and add in some end game that’s a challenge and not just a meaningless grind.
More importantly, lock the best items behind the most difficult content
I think the rng for master working is fine you can reset and keep going but tempering s definitely an issue some sort of reset is needed
Food for thought: what exactly is „the hardest“ content and for whom? Pit 120 (for Barbs easy, for Druids….). I am by far no casual but also no blaster. And I would like to have Ubers and good builds achievable, esp. in a season. Keep in mind, the casuals and „in between“ players keep the game running, not the few high end blasters.

The cursed odd number season where everyone at blizzard turns their brain off, goes on vacation puts out very dissatisfactory and lazy content that only annoys the community. They’ll come back after PTR saying they heard the feedback and they’re increasing the rewards, then. You’ll get 5-6 pieces of gear instead of 3… as if they’re the hero and it’s a good marketing ploy… it’s not worth the time! the issue is Blizzard has been doing annoying shit like this every season for over a year now and they deliberately do the same thing. You shouldn’t need more of the same feedback from the community you’ve been getting your hand held every month for over a year and you’re still doing the same dumb things lol.
We ask for more meaningful and worthwhile rewards that scales, along with more endgame content and for more challenging content. I don’t care to hit a boss 5,000x. Make the fights more difficult. Make them hit harder. This is unreasonable. What were they thinking?! 😂 It should drop AT LEAST 10 hell 20 items with GA’s half being unique. That’s obviously not even worth the time. We can get this many in a 5 SECOND timespan fighting any tormented boss.
Make the tormented bosses harder, nobody knows why you nerfed them. Increase the drop rates of Stygian stones (substantially LIKE 100-200% increase for T100+) Make more boss fights, make double or triple tormented boss fights & increase the drop rates of Ubers from Tormented bosses. And for the love of god fix tempering. “1 more random role if you have a greater affix” is a trash bandaid for the issue. Either Make us use Stygian stones to reset tempering altogether - Or Make it to where we can isolate a target temper by using gems, and the better (flawless/royal) gem we use the more likely we are for it to roll higher within the targetted affixes. And once the target is acquired we stay in the temper target. We’re not going to get random kick duration +300% 6x a row, when we want bash - we can only roll bash when we put X Gem in, but the range is varied based on the gem. Anything that makes sense god forbid Blizzard do. Lol
they should brign back inventory charms from diablo 2 good reason for farming

I tell you what though... if it has a guaranteed uber in it that would make it worth it, and encourage people to actually farm that part of the end game. But if that's not the case it's not a good end game strategy to play that as far as I can tell.

Rob, what happened to WW Dust devils build? It takes much longer now to finish pit 101 than on live with the same build. Can you please describe, what happened and can we adopt something to have at least the same time as on live server.
It's not the build on the PTR, they just overturned the pit, so we'll have to wait until they make changes.

Okay this a beta, but man this reward is the perfect exemple of what blizzard is thinking about the time we spent in their games.
I've never seen once in my life playing blizzard games, overtuned rewards outside of bugged ones.
They did a lot of effort between S3 and S4, butunfortunately i won't be surprised to see them start to mess up with this game again.

I get it, this is ptr and not final and the place to get these things corrected, but come on man 2 single greater affix items and a xfalls? I actually dont even think they are trying anymore. It shouldn't take us telling them the rewards are shit. They would know if any one of them actually took the time to clear a T8 and played their own game.

You can spend 3 minutes running the pit or blood maiden and get 3x the items or waste 30 minutes for junk. I know the new content is tempting, clearly. Blizzard is very known for adding reskinned "new" content but still manage to break it somehow.

Going through all of that for 3 completely random items and one of the wasn't even GA! what happened to target farming?! Lol
You could get 5 GA items from Blood Maiden in that amount of time!
Even if the 250 chest gave a 2GA item it probably wouldn't be worth it for 40 mins of farming. Speed pit 101 would give something like 10-20 1GA and 1-2 2GA in the same time.
The small chest should drop 4-6 items with at least 1GA each, and the big chest should drop 8-10 items with multi GA each. The aether drop rate should be doubled, and aether should be allowed to be kept between Infernal Horde runs.
But not all solo players have the gear you 4 have the casual player 4 man group will struggle

You don’t really need shouts in S5 that much. I have a permanent berserk WW bleed build that decimates the game. Use the aspect with beserking up 100% while over 40 fury and the aspect gain 6 fury a second to negate/boost it. Then you can free up some skill points for more dmg. Take out dust devils entirely and replace that with WW size, remove twister for undaunted on the last paragon board. Boom. Permanent health, fortify, beserking, just spin to win

I like to spin to win, but the shouting when you start/stop spinning gets old VERY fast. And the shouting sound isn't a dialogue sound setting so it's impossible to remove without muting all effects

Welcome to Blizzard games!! Ohh and be careful to even complain about it in Blizzard forums, its full of fanatics that will insult you to death for saying something like you just said. They absolutely love to play the game 12+ hours everyday from moms basement.
Too much work to increase the tier. They salvage like NM keys to sigil powder so we might be able to make them at one point. And the reward does not match the time spent at all.

I know it's only PTR, but how the FORK could Blizzard think this is okay? Literally every other game mode gives you more loot while being 10x faster to complete. What a joke.
This's a joke if Blizzard thinks we're going to grind this with these level of rewards lol..the big chest at bare minimum should drop 3 or 4 pieces of gear with triple GA on all of them plus a guaranteed Uber and new uniques with a bunch of masterwork materials..the small chests guarantee hundreds of masterwork materials plus new uniques with high chance of Ubers, otherwise waste of time and just makes me more excited for poe 2. Also note most of the player base aren't pro or streamers who have all day to play and grind so it doesn't feel rewarding in the slightest when most people don't have the time to grind for the better items.
Make abyssal scrolls add affixes, so that you can add say 10 ish affixes to the key "higher chance for more items, higher chance for 2 stars" while also increasing difficulty..
it is bugged, multiplayers do not make the boss more hp
