Would you define him as a philosopher? I understand that the literal translation of the word is 'lover of wisdom'. But modern society's description of a philosopher is someone who questions old ideas! Robert is a seeker of the facts of human nature! Whereas a philosopher contemplates what may or may not be true, Robert studies evidence and brings his findings to the public

@@DailyArchetype He's certainly one of the most valuable and important authors in all of history! And my personal favourite! The importance of his work is immense! As for a philosopher, if referring to the literal translation of the word rather than society's definition, then yes, an exceptional philosopher!

@Agnes V. Same with me. He taught me things that made my life easier, how to deal with toxic people, how to love myself (specially chapter 9 of the 50th law), how the world works... and lots of useful things that changed my life in a positive way. He is literally a virtual mentor.

I am from Kenya and I can say when the 48 laws of power came out in short form you could see people on buses in Nairobi carrying it around and reading it like it was the Bible.

He is the philosopher of our current generation. He is unbelievably underrated. His elucidation skill is exceptional. Team Robert Greene!
He is not underrated, he has best selling books. However he is drowned in, like everyone else, in this flood of information, authors and choices. It's up to user to be smart and sellective about his collection.
I've been watching statistics about popularity of artists in the second half of the 20th century to present day. What stuck out for me was the fact that before, you could have musicians that were listened to for years, some for more than ten years. These days, someone gets huge surge in popularit, but two years later is almost forgotten.

Wow...I don't want this to get over ...if you've read even one book by Robert Greene...you're really not the same again. As a history teacher I just feel so fascinated by the deep rooted historical knowledge that Robert has. It makes his words much more real and grounded....

Robert is bang on about which of the four generations we find ourselves in, but like us, he’s perspective on what the revolution is about may be clouded by his own subjectivity. The revolution is more likely to be something none of us, including Robert, can yet imagine.

This man is literally dedicating his life to the human knowledge, for the progress of the society, it’s like he is taking each of us as his apprentice but we’re not thanking him enough.
His books are like finding a magic genie lamp, you get whatever you wish for ... Power, Invincibility in War, Love, Success, Influence, Charm, Knowledge ... he picks great subjects
And I was just reading that part today Robert. because I am seeing a lot of things that reflect the cultural revolution that you mentioned in that chapter. I think that chapter is most relevant for the times that we are in today

Very well put. What you've described is exactly what I see everyday. It's MADDENING to the point I've had to completely turn away from all news and social media and take a mental peace break. Thank you for summarizing what logical people see but can not explain to those with the narrow views of reality.
I can't even tell anymore if it's just a personal identity crisis.. or it's really on a societal level. But I've gone through pretty much everything you are describing as well. My new mantra is to just live one day after another and see what happens. Due to the pandemic you can't really plan anything.
And all of the big discussions seem like a reality tv show. Where nobody has common sense anymore.

Ever since the start of the pandemic- since the eruption of global panic, I thought about your lessons about irrationality and reactivity within human nature. I thought about what you would advise and suggest in these times; I also knew that you would wait for when the time was right to offer your thoughts, unlike many who quickly jumped to offer timeless - nevertheless useful - advice.
Though I interpreted the 'crisis' of society through the laws of irrationality, shortsightedness and conformity, you offer here a uniquely structured birds eye lens on the current times. It is humorous yet horrifying that by viewing history, we can see that societies and most individuals react in uncannily predicable ways. We are almost fated as a society to repeat certain patterns over and over again. Yet, there also emerges from this some relief from panic and indignation.
Thank you for timeless books and more recent videos; I'm certain that your words have comforted, encouraged and empowered everyone who's lucky enough to have absorbed them.

The reason a lot of people are panicking is because of the knowledge of history and understand things will get really bad before they get better. One thing that hasn't happened in history or at least the history we know is a currency that has controlled the whole planet on the brink of total collapse. What outcome will that bring? We'll find out soon enough.
