    I was a cop for a few years and turned up to many many domestic incidents. I can't remember a single one where the female was completely innocent. Every incident, they were both as bad as each other and most of the time, the female admitted to starting it and chucking something at the bloke first. Everytime the bloke got arrested though. I even got a disciplinary for arresting the women one time after she admitted to hitting him and chucking something at him first and all he did was pin her up in self defence and chuck her out of the house. She then proceeded to get a group of lads to beat him up in his own house and when we turned up and she admitted all this on my body cam I got fucked for saying he was the victim.
    Not to mention bullshit crime statistics. They'll create a crime on the system even if it turns out one didn't happen, then write up in the description what happened, so the statistics will say domestic crime female victim but in the write up of the description it'll say, non crime or female party admitted to commuting offence. The starts are all bullshit.

    • @MJ-gg5py
      @MJ-gg5py 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      I've spoken to countless cops who have said the same thing. Many of them left the police force simply for this reason. The DV stats are garbage because the police procedure is to take the side of the women regardless of the situation. Issue an ADVO push for it to be made final in court and at all costs the DPP try and prosecute any charges. You don't even need a charge to be hit with an ADVO which means you can get one just because a reviewing officer recommends one.

      I know of a woman who threatened a bloke with a knife. The man picked up a piece of wood to protect himself. The cops arrived, found the man at a mates place, and arrested him. The cops took the wood as evidence against the man but left the knife on the coffee table. The man left the scene to avoid escalating the situation and was then accused of fleeing police. The law is so out of whack and against men that it's not funny . The woman was the instigator of the argument. The police are biased against men

    • @MJ-gg5py
      @MJ-gg5py 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@frankmontanari5534 Not so much biased as in individual officers but the system itself procedurally only sees men as perpetrators unless there is really sufficient evidence to say otherwise. If you read the purpose of the Domestic Violence Act it clearly states it is for the protection of women, children, and vulnerable people. It's legislated biased, the police unfortunately just have to do their job or walk from the job.

    Thank you John. My mother was an extremely violent alcoholic, she came so close to murdering my gentle and quiet father on many occasions. My sister and I were abused over many years. No one knew, we just kept it to ourselves. I then married a woman my mother said was not a good choice, and she was correct. After a few years and 3 kids, my life became pure hell. She provoked and belittled me on a constant basis, very often pleading with me to hit her. I never did, I am a gentle man like my dad. This too was unreported, I just put up with it as long as I could. Her evil continued and still does, after 30 years, she tries to hurt me emotionally, and for no good reason. She has managed to poison my three daughters too, none of whom have talked to me for many years, I have 3 grandchildren I have never met. 10 years since I was 21~ years old, my life is over. I've been on the dole and applying for jobs since then in VIC, then SA and now QLD, no one wants to hire men and no one wants to hire Australian born men if you catch my drift.
      My most recent application is to the government for an APS3 role, we were told we'd get a response either way to the application in 3-4 weeks, its now 6-7 weeks and my job coach chased them down and they told him another 1-2 weeks.
      I've given up on having another job ever again and am just waiting to cark it or for the country to collapse and start over from scratch. I'm an IT specialist and I spend my time gardening/cleaning my land lords property for them because if I dont I won't have a home and if I lose my home Centrelink won't send me my money because you need a residential address to receive welfare.
      Voting won't fix this. we need to go in and shut the whole system down and start it over or the children will have no future at all.

    As a male victim of DV, with police witnesses, video and audio and written evidence. I'm over it. Every step of the process to rid my life of my stalker, I was treated as the perpetrator. YEARS of my life and over 100k in legal fees (she had a new lawyer adjourn the case every chance she got) and a loss of a job, needing a change in career. I'm over it.
    I learned after that she's done it to four people (that I know of) and walked away after being charged with (and found guilty of) 7 indictable offences (including threats to kill and possession of a controlled weapon) she walked away with a 12 month good behavior bond.
    I was told in no uncertain terms (multiple times, from multiple sources through the ordeal) that I'd be in prison.
    As a male, the only 'help' line available to us is available "to men who use violence against their families".
    No wonder reports of violence against men are so low.
    Would I ever report it again? Not a chance. Amazing how many other people I met with similar stories during the process. Not to mention the men I know who's female partners threaten taking their children away if they don't toe the line.

    As a retired police officer I’ve been involved and investigated many domestic violence incidents in 3 Australian jurisdictions spanning 23 years.
    Back in the 90’s, 2 female offenders that killed their husbands both walked free being successful in arguing that they were the victims. One of those women went on and did the same a second time not long after. I see that as one’s M.O.
    Sure once a victim, but not twice. That’s one’s own habit.
    You need to look at those crime statistics a bit closer to get the conviction rate of female offenders to that of men. Most minor crimes by women won’t even get to court with only the more serious crimes committed against a person likely to, and then the typical defenses emerge.
    Back in 2008 whilst serving as a police officer in one jurisdiction, I was victim of DV myself and sought emergency accommodation for myself and my daughter & recourse. I was told by the States support services that there was NO agency available supporting men. I received NO support that I knew was available for women as victims of Domestic violence. What I knew was available for women was not offered or available for me.
    One jurisdiction I worked in; the directive was; if you attend a domestic incident even a verbal argument (male vs female = relationship), you WILL arrest the man. No matter what..
    The other two jurisdictions weren’t as severe as that.
    I no longer reside in Australia, moving overseas in 2018 but I would argue IF there is an increase in general terms, statistically, it’s more to do with the increasing of legislation favoring or protecting women more than available laws whilst I was serving, targeting men, and that they do not favor men in Australia and NEVER will. It’s an offence.

    A lady friend on mine was a Family Law barrister, and is now a Magistrate. She told me that so many times where she had represented a woman in a divorce case, she felt like slapping them across the face because of their attitude toward their ex. She said more often than not they would not settle a case and used the children as a lever to force the father to agree to their terms of settlement. Of course no one is advocating violence in these situations, but clean a man out financially and restrict access to his kids and sadly some men will react accordingly. I know with my own experience, there were thoughts that went through my mind that weren't good. Fortunately I wasn't the type of person who would act that out, but some men are.

      @@thedeadgypsyhe's right. The majority of men have been attacked physically before. This isn't the case for the majority of women. Also, with the way 'sexual assault' is classified most men have been sexually assaulted as well. I have been on 3 occasions. Of course, I'm a man so I laughed it off because I don't play victim like many women do over drunk groping and cat calling

    So many tradies get rolled by their female partner, just after the reno of their home is finished. I've been there, and have seen countless of other examples. It's like a formula to get ahead.
    Thanks for saying what nobody else has had the balls to point out.

    Bring back RANT John. At a time when David McBride is getting jailed for serving the country, the people need some figurative uppercuts to bring them back to reality.

      Agreed. Rant is a possibility. What happened to DM yesterday is a national disgrace. A Nuremberg judge would be appalled.

      +1 for Rant, I still watch them occasionally - tho you definitely have more subscribers here I think your non-car related content is really important.

      @AutoExpertJC how long before a government suit comes a knocking on you door? Don't think they'll jail you for your speech? I sure hope not but it doesn't look too good for the future buddy.
