Unfortunately, too many curly girls have suffered hair loss and damaged curls…and the way the company went about handling the lawsuits, gaslighting and not listening to the client’s concerns left a super bad taste in my mouths. I see they’re trying, but it will take a while to rebuild trust going forward.

I've never actually had a problem with any of Devacurl's previous formulas, I really loved them. Now that they changed them, I'm having a really hard time finding anything good for my hair. Glad it worked for you though!

Apparently the issue with the old deva curl wasn’t even the formula, it was the BOTTLES ‼️😳 They switched to a cheaper bottle a few years back that contained some chemical (found in most plastic) that caused a chain, chemical reaction with the product that ended badly for everyone 😬 Goes to show, the little details matter. Noticed they have new bottles 😂 ETA: I’m SHOCKED by your results! Strong hold and NO crunchy?! What kinda sorcery is it 🧐
They haven't apologized or settled financially with the people who are still recovering from balding and migraines caused by chemical exposure so I do not care.

So being a long time devacurl user I, I never had any issues but stopped just to be safe when everything went south.. A few weeks ago I tried the no poo and the repairbond conditioner and I’m loving it! I think I’ll give the super cream and gel a shot when I run out of my jessicurl.
Last time I went to a hair salon I was gifted a ton of DevaCurl samples. First thing I did when I got home was throw them in the back of a drawer, and they have still yet to see light of day. After what these products did to my hair, I cannot trust them again. It took me far too long to get my hair to look healthy again, I cannot bring myself to buy it again. If it works for you, that’s great but it will take years (if ever) for me to trust DevaCurl again
