There is no miracle hair growth product. Its all about moisture, practicing good length retention habits, and keeping a consistent trims as needed for healthy hair. People need to simply leave their hair alone and let it grow. Cleanse, condition, moisturize, style and repeat. The only challenge I would think is really finding the right products that work well for your hair. Outside of that everything else is simple.

Wow and this whole time i had been over complicating it
I just started putting on my leave in conditioner in the shower after rinsing out deep conditioner!! Omg!!Game changer!! I put it on while my hair is sopping wet then put a plastic bag on while showering the rest of my body! Then I apply my oil blend and twisting cream and my hair stays moisturized for 2 weeks until next wash day! No lie! 🙌🏾
Same! I did it once to save time and I am not looking back. I will try to add the shower cap but for me it was the time saving that changed the game

I’m glad you mentioned shed hair because I used to think something was wrong with my hair if it sheds at all lol
Most of them don’t even show their shed hair and when they do, they treat it like breakage when it’s pretty normal depending on how long you go without touching your hair.
Right...I was talking with a dermatologist and she said most people get paranoid about hair loss, but it's just normal shedding. Especially when we use detangling tools...it looks like we're losing so much hair...but we're also getting a more thorough de-shedding!

Yasss I’m a FIRM BELIEVER and doing my hair once a week. And not touching my hair for the rest of the week. And if I’m really lucky I’m able to go a week and a half without defining my curls again. BUT I will go back and touch it up with moisture to be on the safe side.

I’ve got high porosity 4c thinning at the top and temples hair and it doesn’t stay moisturized. Onion juice, nettle, JBCO, msm, sulfur 8, Vaseline, blue magic, massage, deep conditioning, easy detangling, trimming, rice water, you name it, I’ve tried it. No faster growth and still thinning. Your hair is gorgeous though.
hmm.. have you tried changing your diet? or maybe taking your vitamins? internal work is just as important as external. if that doesn’t work maybe ask your doctor. hope this helps:)
@@cheesecake3453 I take and have taken biotin, MSM, silica, hair vitamins, etc. everything I have researched to try. I guess I’m just one of the unlucky ones🥺

Yes friend!! Hold my hand. The struggle is real. If I nail down detangling I can retain some length. Everytime I detangle one section and move on to another section the original section is tangled all over again. I have to keep my hair separated throughout my whole wash process and it's frustrating. Do you have any suggestions??
Try twisting or braiding your detangles sections!
@@Ty-wx9rh That's what I do and it still tangles. When I go back to either moisturize that area and un tiwst it, its back to be tangled. I had a stylist tell me that I need to keep my hair straight and stop trying to twist/braid my hair. I'm starting to think she maybe right. Its disappointing 😞 I may have to give up on being natural.
I use to have this issue too! I used to only detangle with a wide tooth comb, but when I switched to a brush, my tangles went away. I also detangle before shampooing using conditioner and olive oil. Now it only takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to detangle 🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@lcvingjae5979 I've tried using a brush and it's seems like more hair comes out on the brush then when using the comb. What brush do you use? The more I detangle the more hair I lose. I detangle before washing my hair and I'm losing hair. I have to then detangle my hair again after shampooing and I'm losing hair. Honestly I'm at my wit's end. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and with every growing day a relaxer is looking better and better.
Please don't feel pressured to detangle your hair at that point in your wash day. It doesn't make you a natural failure if you can't. I don't detangle my hair until after I have let my deep conditioner sit on it a few minutes then I use a detangle brush takes about ten min. I would pull out every strand on my head if I tried to detangle before then.🙂 I've done it this way for years and manged to grow my hair just fine. There are no rules to being natural. Do what works best for you. 🙃

I'd say just wet your hair enough for the product to easily and evenly distribute throughout your hair. When your hair is shorter definitely don't overthink how you apply the product. Just get it in there haha

Nah that's just that men don't often get traction alopecia because they usually don't put on small tight braids etc. But they can get based on their genetic draw male pattern baldness for which there is no cure yet.
@@virginiamontaldo440 it's actually true, most women have crappy iron levels due to periods, men are good on the iron front and testerone stimulates red blood cell production.
Crappy iron stores even if you're not totally anemic can lead to hairloss or at the very least fragile edges that pop off just cos you looked at them wrong.
Could someone please give me a good deep conditioner and leave-in conditioner WITHOUT coconut oil. My hair doesn't like it.

Hey Will! So my hair is basically the same length as yours is in the yearbook photo (maybe a bit shorter), so I can't exactly use the same detangling(?) tool you used and I use a plastic hair pick instead, but whenever I wet my hair and use it I don't, like, go all the way through, I just kinda fluff it I guess. In your opinion, should I keep doing that OR look for a new tool?

have you tried just gel to style your hair? I stopped using any oils after shampoo and conditioning my hair; I only use natural gel now (flax seed or xantham gum gel) and it pulls the curls down, halving the shrinkage down. I don't know why, but it works.
I have! But I prefer using leave -ins underneath gel.
