1. can not see the gear letter in instrument display, or
2. when you move the gear position, the letter in instrument not changed
3. you can not change the gear position, stuck at P or D
disassembly electric shifter module and repair the PCB solder pins

Dear Arief, many thanks for your recommendation to repair the shifter of a Mercedes w230.
Mine is a 280 kompressor and following your didactic instruction I have solved a problem in the Drive position .

I just put back shifter, I cleaned everything. Start engine and check how going from P til D and from 4 till first gear, was everything okay, now be waiting 30 minutes and checking again if is okay 🙏I be put everything back.
Just to tell you, when changing gear from P till D part where stop handling on R- N-D is made from plastic ,( looks like valves) had damage and wasn’t straight, I sending this part put some grease to easy moving and now is both sides straight, maybe and this make problem.
I hope now be okay.

Awesome, you found the root cause and for things which relate or made by plastic you could do plastic soldering to make it more straight veside grease helps too. Sometime DIY made us advance one step but risk still there, and did something is more important than doing nothing.

Hi, let me search my pic archieve and see what the code or part number on that. What happens to yours, why you need to replace it, have you make sure it is still working? Just try to re solder each cap's sides because MB genuine instrument parts rare to blown

Hi Arief, I have Mercedes 180 compressor C 2003 . Now have problem with transmission. I can move shifter, but sometimes going in D and if pushing accelerate gear going in 2 or 1 and can change this, when stops car usually don’t show where is in P-R-N or D. After sometimes I move shifter to D and go to manual 4 and can drive car, but only in 4 gear.
Do you have any experience with similar situation, and do you know what can be, what’s problem?
I am now take off shifter and I be clean everything and do all what I saw in your video, but if you have any clue why this happened, please let me know.

Hi Zlatco, read entire your explanation. First, did you check the level of transmission oil? if it is less than the expected level, please do refill, and then give some try. Second, did you know how to reset ECU in order it could be adapted to the transmission mode and gear changes? There are many vudeos on how to do that om w203. Thrid, do clean and tricks showed in my videos.

so where did you take it to get cleaned mine has a lot of yellow on it ?
You can bring it to nearest electronic service center at your location, ask their help to clean the connectors with flux or solder paste, and resolder it
Om arif mau tanya, ini ada hubungannya ga ya sama Sulit masuk ke R dari N dan D (ngelock) kalo ditunggu bentar bisa lagi (intermittent)? Thx
Sayangnya enggak, kalau delay response perpindahan shifting kata kawan bengkel langganan mb, itu selenoid dan jalur sirkulasi oli gearbox

tidak bisa bang, itu problem utama nya di solderan yang sudah uzur, ada yang retak dalam, tidak lengket lagi dll. bawa aja ke service HP bang, pasti mereka mau bantu

waalaikumsalam wr wb. from the sympthoms you explained i wonder your gearbox selenoids inside the gearbox doesnt works well. i suggest you to scan your car with MB diagnostic tool because at past i have the same problem and found some selenoids need to repair and also please check your gearbox oil level.

My MB W230 is not shifting gears, it's driving in number 1 and its not shifting gears
Hi John, thats seems your gearbox problems and the shifting gears module. please try to refil 0.5 litres of the gearbox oil, and lets see does it works?

@@adipurwadichannel tidak rugi mencoba, paling mahal 30ribu perak dari oada beli baru 2-3 juta, ada yg sampai habis 6 juta. bongkar dan pasang sendiri bisa, pelan2 dan sabar, ikuti langkah2 di video
