Why We Moved to El Salvador for Safety and Freedom

  • Are you considering moving to a new country but feeling unsure about where to go?
    Many people struggle with finding a place that offers safety, freedom, and a positive culture for their family.
    In this episode, I share my personal experience and the reasons why my husband and I chose to move to El Salvador in May 2022.
    Despite the negative portrayal of El Salvador in the media, we felt safe during our visit and continue to feel secure living here. We were also seeking a place that allowed us to make our own decisions without excessive government interference, and El Salvador provided that freedom.
    As someone from Brazil, I wanted my children to experience Latin culture and learn Spanish, and this country offered the perfect opportunity for cultural exposure and growth.
    El Salvador stands out as a nation moving in a positive direction, with family and God remaining important aspects of the culture. Join me as I discuss our decision-making process and the benefits of living in this beautiful country.

      @@josephbattaglia3690 We are not El Salvador citizens yet, but eventually, we’d like to be naturalized and obtain our Salvadoran passports. It will take a few more years, though. El Salvador is at the early start of getting a lot better trust me on this one, El Salvador is gonna change wildly for the better. Free minded people are gonna find peace and joy to be at a country that cherish new contributions to the country. As an example president bukele’s announcements to give 5000 passports( in other words immediate Salvadoran citizenship) to bright minded people that will contribute to the country is just an amazing initiative. if you’re a talented person looking for a fresh start in a country that has a lot of enthusiasm for the future and you want to contribute you’re in the right country to settle and you’re welcome here in El Salvador.

    How do you move there?

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Super simple -Sell everything, convert it to #bitcoin, have $12 ready in a LN wallet like @blinkbtc to pay for a 6-month tourist visa upon landing, and then apply for residency.
      Easy as that 😉
      Understanding El Salvador Residency Time Requirements:
      1️⃣ Year 1 - Temporary Residency:
      - Granted for one year upon arrival.
      - Leaving El Salvador is allowed, but no single trip should exceed 90 days, and cumulative days abroad should not surpass 120 days.
      2️⃣ Year 2 to 3 - Visa Extension:
      - Your visa can be extended for another two years after the first year.
      - Requirement to stay in El Salvador for at least eight months each year remains in effect.
      3️⃣ Year 3 onwards - Permanent Residency:
      - After completing three years, you're eligible to apply for permanent residency.
      - This status allows you to leave El Salvador for up to two years in one stretch.
      4️⃣ Year 5 onwards - Eligibility for Citizenship:
      - After five years of residing in El Salvador, you can apply for citizenship.
      - As a citizen, you can stay outside El Salvador for up to five years at a time.
      🇸🇻🫡

      @@ElSalvadorInsiders Thank You ! Ive been doing research for months on where to move. Inflation like this in the US is destroying the middle class. I may not have another choice but to leave the country its that bad. Ive looked at other states like Texas I am hoping they become their own Country because thatd be great. But EL Salvador is easily my #1 of places Id move too. Ive tried to call the Embassy but it just says phone number not available. Ive tried emailing but it doesnt even allow that. So how do I get in contact with EL Salvador embassy to even ask about moving?

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    If you're Salvadorean, no problem, move back home, excellent; but if you aren't, please let the salvadoreans enjoy and heal and be able to buy their own home. I wish the government stops peolple from diplomatically buying El Salvador and one day, natives will be pushed out of their own land. Anyways, too much to say.

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't really understand your point. Salvadorans are happily selling their disposable houses and lands to foreigners and the Salvadoran diaspora at a nice premium. Great for Salvadorans. What's the problem?

    El Salvador is no longer a free country with a rule of law, if you havent notice then you have drink Bukele coolaid.

    • @ElSalvadorInsiders
      @ElSalvadorInsiders  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      You are right! Before Bukele, with the gangs daily slaughtering and raping Salvadoran families, the rule of law was strong and respected.
      It's very sad that today, Salvadorans can freely leave their houses, pasajes, and colonias, day and night, and go everywhere in their own country without gangsters asking for their DUI and killing them if they suspect affiliation with an adversary gang based on the address shown on their ID. When they were locked down in their own neighborhoods, it was much better for them.
      It's unacceptable that Salvadoran kids today, because of Bukele, can go to school every day without being bullied, beaten up, or recruited by gangsters. And the worst part of all?
      The foreigners coming here with their Bitcoin and hiring poor Salvadorans as housekeepers, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, often paying double what the Salvadoran elite and big corporations used to get away with while keeping the poor enslaved.
      So horrible what's happening here with Bukele. People are suffering so much today. 84% of the country drank the Bukele Kool-Aid and voted loudly to get him re-elected. Unexplainable!
      Something to ponder about. 🤔
