What an exciting time for you guys. I’m a senior, living in a small house in a decent neighborhood but am a country “girl” at heart. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy watching your journey which IMO, is nothing short of miraculous. To think that you can film certain aspects of your life, share them with the world through videos and be so successful that you can fulfill your dreams. Thanks for inviting me to tag along on your amazing journey. Wishing you both nothing but happiness and continued success.
Kelsey & Ryan, glad to see the project underway! We built a place 11 years ago. 2 quick things: 1) don't go cheap - get the good stuff or you'll be replacing it way too soon, and 2) always opt for more electrical outlets. Can't wait for more videos!
I love how peaceful, positive, and drama free your videos are. People seem to be all about the controversy these days…it nice to just see clean content. Thanks for allowing us to go on this journey with you. You guys seem like genuine people…keep it coming!!!
Wow....what an exciting time. I live in New Jersey and my daughter and son-in-law are moving to Arizona. They leave on Thursday (7/28/22). They own land in Taylor, Arizona (3 hours north of Phoenix). They are renting a home when they get out there and they will be starting the process of designing their Bardominium and having it built. I sent them a link to this video so they can follow you as you go through the building process. Hopefully they can learn from watching you two go through the building process.......what to do and what not to do. Love your channel. Always great lawn care content......but this is very exciting. Can't wait to watch this series of videos. God Bless and stay well. We will be praying that everything goes well during the build and that you get exactly what you want and need. To see a dream like this come to fruition is just a blessing from God. So glad you are getting this opportunity.
Congrats! I know when my house was being built, it didn't really hit me until the second floor was on and all the plywood sheet was up. It actually had the feel of a house at that point and your imagination finally starts to merge with reality. That was the most exciting time for me.
Porch Talks I look forward to the series, and when I moved into my first home the day we closed I slept on the floor just my and my pillow. So I know all about let's pack NOW!!
It’s definitely a marathon, not a sprint, in the process of building! But I’m excited and happy it’s starting to become “real” now for you guys! Looking forward to seeing more!
This is getting good, Ryan. I have no idea how this is going to exactly look but am excited in following the journey. Shots of the yellow sky were amazing, looked like a sepia filter.
Congrats to you both, I have watched several of these built and once the footings are poured and the framework goes up, these go up pretty quickly, it`s all the rooms and different levels that take the time, but the building goes pretty quick, love to follow along.
Can't wait to see your plans and hard word come to fruition. As one who grew up on a farm, amid other family farms, I predict your lives will be enriched beyond your wildest dreams and the hard work will never end. The Knorr Team will knock it out of the park! Enjoy every moment.
Fireworks are absolutely illegal in NY, but I can tell you 4th of July is like the Purge here on Long Island… and the closest legal sales are in Pennsylvanian… like at least 3 hours away. So people drive hours and spend thousands. It’s crazy. The dogs around here hate it for sure! We just got our dog loads week, so we’ll see. Our old dog HATED them, but still managed to make it to 17!
Very exciting times for you both--all the best with your build. I hope you are planning on a storm cellar close to the barndomonium! Enjoy every day of it! Thanks for sharing your journey
I am so glad I found your channel ! Not only have you given me guidance in how to maintain my yard but I find videos like these incredibly relaxing after a long trip lobster fishing ! Such a great channel to unwind and let your mind escape the stress of the paycheck grind .
Very exciting. Your guys make me laugh. I worked with my Dad doing construction for many summer and the homeowners who are constantly around while you work drove us crazy. Those guys won't say a word but your driving them crazy to.
Quick question Ryan, are you guys going to build some type of storm shelter in the garage or off the back of the building? I know Paul's is underground off the garage and all full of hunting trophies, but enough room for the five of them! The progress is going to be really fast so enjoy every minute as the foreman!! Take care and don't work too hard!
We will have an EF-5 rated above ground storm shelter in the shop. We were considering doing underground but once we found water when digging the footings we had to change our plan.
@@kelseyknorr3535 Hey Kelsey, I have seen numerous storm shelters kits on line. I was sure surprised you guys hit water up on that hill, with the fantastic view, I loved the porch talk! Keep them coming and have fun picking out all your house stuff!!
so beautiful at 9:59 wow nice going to look great the house cant wait to see it all way done. Yea hot here in CA 105 UGH. coffee and your wife Fresh Pie i am down lol. Sounds so relaxing. Hard works pays off trust me I know I been doing YT 6 years.
Congrats on the start of a new beginning. Its always good to dream big; but it takes courage and character to transform those dreams into reality. You and Kelsey are doing just that. By sharing your experiences, you’ll show others what’s possible if you’re committed. Keep the camera rolling as things progress. Good luck and have some fun too.
I don’t know if you liked the coffee I sent your way Kelsey, but I’d be happy to get you another bag of Mounds View Roasters coffee for that first cup! Congrats on all your success and for this really cool journey. Our family loves watching. My four year old daughter is a big fan.
Michael, yes I loved it! I lost your contact info so I'm so glad to see you comment here because I've been wanting to thank you for what you sent! And I loved the special touch in the name. 😊 I would love to feature your roast for that cup of coffee. 👍
I didn't know home fireworks were legal in Van Meter. They aren't legal in Des Moines, but that doesn't stop my neighbors. I'd like to escape the bombs bursting in air, which happens on various days throughout the year. Good luck with the build!

I love watching your videos! The lawn videos are very cool, but like you, I hope to get a house with some land once the kids are out of the house.. I'll be watching from Kansas City! congrats on the ground breaking!
What a cool idea with the porch and an awesome experience to build custom and brand new. Keep up with the great updates! Are you general contracting the whole build yourselves?
Ryan what an amazing time for you and your wife. Congrats with everything! I recently built our dream home as well. It's been alot of work getting the lawn established but its coming along. Im noticing lots of grasshoppers in my lawn and I'm worries. I was wondering especially with your location being such a large piece of land. Do you have this same issue? What would you recommend? Should I be as worried as I feel I am?
Our commute right now is just less than an hour. Not terrible but we'll be glad not to be driving that all the time. Hoping to move sometime in November. Fingers crossed!
So you guys will have a raised foundation?. Sorry, I have only lived in homes with poured foundations. I have just never seen the wholes dug and filled like that.

whats crazy is fireflys are on there way to extinction in usa/canada. A true beauty to be seen.
85 degrees is nothing, i live in las vegas and usually leave my house around 6 am and it was already 98 degrees, around 2 pm was around 118
Yes but it doesn't get to -25 in the winter
Not sure how you handle that kind of heat Rick. Yuck!
