This is actually a great video for me to get back into Warframe. For the longest time, the only damage dealers I had were melee weapons. Even unmodded ones did more damage per second, than what other primary or secondary I had. Like I have done something that profiled me as a close-quarter player, and not the bullet hose everyone else is in the game.
I dont usually like or sub to warframe videos especially the rinse and repeat endgame videos but i left you a like and sub because this was a very well made beginner video and the community needs more of this and less toxic GG videos.
I'm mr18 playing for almost 5 years and always had a problem with damage out put thank you so much for the advice and I'll be looking at your build vids next
Getting the mods you need is as simple as 1. Asking for them from the players that flex in lower lv lobbies. 2. Asking to be taxi’d to a higher level mission with better drop chances. 3. Trade 4. Open relics, sell prime parts and buy mods from Baro Ti Keer in the relay every two weeks on Saturday and Friday (usually comes to Kupiter Relay or Earth Relay. Must be rank 3).

Ever since I first heard you talk about the corrosive breaking down armor and talking about how heat basically infinitely stacks, I've started running a few corrosive main with heat following up type of builds. Even as I say this, this video has me thinking about a few other things I can do as well. Still main goal is getting myself to do more archon hunts (preferably public for now until I can get something that sticks enough)
I know right, I wish they did what Division 2 does, put all the numbers on the right or left side of the screen in a list form, having it all over the screen is honestly ugly and so distracting
I have found myself consistently failing missions now because I absolutely refuse to use any and all weapons that I know will absolutely destroy, of which there are an abundance in my arsenal. Just because I'm a masochist or something. I usually refuse to armor strip as well... I'm not intentionally meaning to make it "harder," I am just bored of all my weapons and wanna use odd ones. I've yet to deviate from my favorite frames into using only ones I'm bad with though... Give it time. I have basically boycotted Revenant Prime from about a week after I got him though. Being invincible so easily is just... not adrenaline inducing enough. Maybe I'll subsume off mesmer skin lmao.
There's also the fact I refuse to play in a group... which I actually had no idea was such a handicap until my friend who is absolutely awful, and refuses to listen to any advice whatsoever, started being able to do Netracells and the like... Which he's absolutely incapable of doing... Then I saw him doing SP Circuit, literally standing in a corner while three other dudes cleared everything... Then I realized, wow. He has three sweaty try hards trying to out try each other at all times. No wonder he's able to do all this stuff when, while he's in a group with me, running around looking like he's just massacred hundreds of Grineer... The end screen comes and I'm absolutely floored by the fact I've just done 99% of the damage (a bit of a hyperbole, it was BAD though).

Im a big fan of using roar+ wisp motes for firerate/attack speed on stacked multishot/crit and using a pet that does viral or corrosive damage. But, bringing friends along is my favorite way to do more damage.
Want status effects? Get Koumei. Want a cool af looking frame? Get Koumei. Want to have Gambling? Get Koumei. Soooo GET KOUMEI yeah i love Koumei favorite frame ngl
Same here... I couldn't use her at first. Helminthed Eclipse to her 2 couldn't be arsed to do challenges in high lvl... Got her armor to 1,400 for the lols and got surprised that she could actually tank hits in level 200+ . Eclipse got me near invincible, enough for Netracells and SP solo. Add status and Bunraku... Never used any other frame since.

Thanks for another helpful guide! I've been playing on my Steam Deck ever since I started my Warframe journey a little over a year ago, and aiming is not a problem for me. Using a trackpad is actually pretty similar to using a mouse. The precision is great. For people struggling with dealing damage and/or surviving on the Steel Path, I recommend using a warframe that I recently rediscovered: the severely underrated Trinity. Her ability Link allows her to redirect up to 75% of the damage received to linked enemies. And her augment Abating Link reduces the armor of linked enemies by 60%. It means that even if your weapons aren't doing a lot of damage, your enemies are just going to be killing themselves. Believe me, a rank 5 Kuva Lich is a joke in front of Trinity. :)

I started this game in november of last year, so I already know all of these things, but I've got to say, for beginners, "Level your mods!" is actually so great mainly because in-game it's called "fusing" and that wording is super confusing. At first I thought that "fusing" would turn my mod into something else so for the longest time I didn't level up my mods cause I didn't want to risk losing the ones I had without knowing what I was gonna get next. And maybe I would need one of them later on (not knowing that trash mods are everywhere! shout outs to warm coat) When I had enough duplicated, I fused a mod and quickly realized that it just became stronger, so "fusing" is actually just "level up" lmao, and transmutation IS fusing mods to get something else. DE 100% needs to change that wording, maybe "rank up" or "level up" or something. I wish I had seen this video when I started playing lol.
im getting to an average of my weapons doing 1.2k damage but i remember i was doing 100s of damage and just kept fighting like that and remembering the game being super hard but then i started upgrading my mods and switching them out it was so much better.
i started the game 4 months ago.im level 21 now and using Hildryn Prime with 8700 shield,1160 health,882 armor + rebuild shields helminth ability , Tenet Tetra or Tenet Arca Plasmor as primary , Kuva nukor as secondary , xoris and twin krohkur as melee. Arcane Primary Charger+Arcane Precision + Primary Merciless+Secondary Merciless+ Melee Retailation are arcanes. +5 tauforged purple archon with %45+15 electrical damage for primary weapon each.
Valkyr is one of the earliest frames that new players can easily get that is extremely powerful. (Infor for the newbies) Valkyr's 4th makes her immortal and makes her a melee only with her claws. If you are struggling to stay alive higher in the star chart, valkyr is a strong option. Rhino is also a great beginner option. His roar ability buffs damage the same way a faction damage mod buffs damage (Example: a mod that does +30% damage to grineer) The faction mods seem useless to newer players, as they do not inflate the damage numbers in your stats, but they are VERY strong due to how damage is calculated. Iron skin is also very strong. As soon as you can get Saryn prime, do so. Saryn does UNHOLY amounts of damage and her ability to do that damage scales VERY powerfully and even shreds lvl200. Furthermore, MHBlacky has done a Saryn vid that blew my mind. I wasn't aware she could even be that strong. I am MR 30 coming back after a 2 year break and there are many mods I don't have. These mods, especially with how they interact with Diriga, are incredible. I was never a Saryn player, but that vid inspired me to go for an advanced Saryn build. If you start at MR8 farming for these things, you will have that build FAR earlier than me. IMHO that is THE #1 build right now.

I've heard some people having issues with CO before but unfortunately I can not say anything against it from my own experience :/ However if you struggle with solo Steel Path maybe my video on Cheap Steel Path Builds from autumn 2023 can help ;)
0:58 actually do the oposite, by how aiming works in these platforms its better for you to look at the general direction of the enemy, move your character instead of your camera to adjust the aim and hit the trigger when you see red only go for recoil weapons if you are experienced on mobile fps and have knockback resistance, since you know to adjust aim you just want to move little
I went to try and find your "late game weapons" video and none of your videos are titled that. When I went to a video that had the thumbnail that was onscreen, it was for mid-game weapons.. The tip about faction mods and arcanes replacing serration were new to me and I appreciate it.
This stuff is easy to understand just a bit difficult to achieve. Im 300+ hours in the game and theres still so much to learn. I main grendel and love it. He has ridiculous health regen and armor with a certain augment. And on the topic of extra damage his "nourish" ability gives a nice bonus of viral damage to your attacks.
I'll definitely get into that in the forseeable future ;) There's a lot on my list but I really want to cover this topic because I've never touched on this before :O
As one of the furthest ahead purely on iOS, I approve of this video. Aiming would be a lot easier if the DEs stole the setup from codm, you can’t utilize 4 finger claw or really even 3, as they will cancel out your movements. However I’m still decent enough that I get headshots with the film in prime a ton. I’m building out my gauss prime identical to your recent gauss video, to see what truly “melting” steel path feels like

MIRAGE with the Cedo is fuckiing nuts and I reccomend you try it out. since you get 3 discs instead of 1 and if you have multi shot on you can get up to 4 or 5 shots of it at a time. crazy status
How come I can do a survival mission for 80 minutes with level 200 enemies with no reduced damage but then I do the zariman lvl 60 they are so much harder to kill
Lol, I'm MR 31 and I still haven't even maxed out my Serration mod, but it still carries when I need it. Can confirm that level 7-8 for those mods is plenty for most purposes. 🤓
Cannot speak for mobile but on switch there's the option to use motion controls for aiming. Landing headshots is quite manageable and aiming with motion controls also helps a lot with abilities that require aiming to an enemy

I’m stuck at the last star chart missions bc I have phantasma and idk what mods to put on it I have no prime mods for it nor galvanized mods so I’m stuck I cannot find a budget build I need it bad to finish this so I can get galvanized mods from arbitrations is help
You also need the Veilbreaker quest done to to fit Archon shards because you get the Archon segment schematic at the end of it. And I think you also need to have completed the start chart to do Archon hunts to get the actual crystals, you also need a rank 30 warframe that has been forma'd at least once, but that part is going to have happened by that time anyway.
My advice if you're new is dont invest a lot of resources into weapons until you know it can handle Steel Path. I learned the hard way but if you like a weapon in normal just check on YT if and how it does endgame wise. Pretty much every weapon can wreck normal, but alot turn into pea shooters on the first SP mission and even with good mods just wont work well. If you're playing on mobile or Switch cold damage is good to get headshots as it slows or freezes enemies making up for it being harder to aim, put it on one of your weapons or companion (ideally sentinel with laser weapon with high status). I play on Switch and run Vauban Prime and Vectis Prime (Sniper) mainly, i use said companion but also have void dmg as a backup but thats a process that takes a bit to get to. Void damage gives you aimbot when it triggers, first shot triggers it and i can fire my sniper anywhere near them and it curves to them, only works on bullet weapons, lasers and others wont track.
and there are also the vigilante set mods dropping from cetus bounties in the plains of eidolon on earth in case you can't find normal multishot mods or can't afford them yet.
Wait theres weak spots other than the head? I never knew that i know one warframe has an ability to highlight them but never knew about it being there without needing to use abilities. Which factions have which weaknesses other than headshot?
If you re referring to banshee, she is creating weakspots, not highlighting them (they can appear on a head tho). they can overlap, give a dmg multi depending on powerstrength and therefore allow you to oneshot everything aside from a few specific enemies in the game. Enemies with weakspots other than heads are: A few bosses, murmur faction, Necramechs, etc. But generally speaking, if it has head - shoot head.
I can say that corpus MOAs have a bigger weak point than the head, and I feel it’s right out of Star Wars: the battery on the back. It can even be hit from the front if you can aim well, and has a bigger multiplier than a headshot on em
I think Blacky obtained Yareli by other means, because I saw him use the footage of her in some of his videos. She is also one of my favorite warframes (in fact, she is my third-most-used warframe). Even if you don't like the K-Drive mechanics, there is no excuse not to use Yareli now because we have the Loyal Merulina augment.

As a Warframe Veteran, Can I Suggest a Series on Weapon Builds including The Bad weapons i.e. Stug & Sonicor with the Intent of Making them the Absolute Pinnacle that their Damage can be. I just started teaching newer players about Modding and on someone's first Riven they Got Sonicor so I politely switched it with Pyrana riven. But as a Collector of Weird Rivens I'd love to see a Warframe series on making every weapon the best it could be possibly Steel-path worthy.
@@Rein142 I love my octavia. You can have more than one mandachord setup, and if you want to, you can run a silent setup, or, only the drums. Also, nightwave sometimes has weapon slots or warframe slots as rewards to earn.
as a switch user, i rarely use my primary and secondary because the aiming sucks and i only use glaive weapons because you just need to aim in the general area and they will cease to exist. Also, is the kuva bramma good if you are on switch?
Yes kuva bramma would probably be good if u struggle with aim. Its a massive aoe explosion which deals big damage. Just aim towards a crowd and youll delete it. Only problem is its lack of ammo.
Also look into getting a weapon called "Probiscis Cernos" it requires a fair bit of work to get but believe me when I say the damage is real and aiming is entirely unnecessary.
so i could use rhino roar on octavia combine with his buff ? the ball seems so useless and feels like im doing so much less damage with it or also equinox one
Looked it up, unfortunately you can only replace Octavia's Amp ability, which means you would increase damage but have a drastically smaller Mallet range (and maybe strength?). Maybe worth it depending on the map/tile set.

Quite frankly the people who speak their praises to these aren't entirely being honest. It requires that you prepare for every single mission rather than building your weapon for general purpose. The bane mods are *decent* in the right circumstances, but are usually entirely not worth the time and effort to get and constantly change to use. Just build your weapons in ways you can figure, adding more damage and the right elements will always be a good thing, and don't forget multishot.
Only if you think the weapon is worth keeping. If it's not something you plan to use for the long term or eventually plan to build with it and make it as strong as possible, then I would save the reactor for something that you will definitely use
Simulacrum. Head to any relay and open your gear wheel, select Sephelon Simaris and travel to him, turn left when you spawn in and the entrance is in front of you. To unlock the Simulacrum, you must complete missions for him, which is also lucrative because it allows you to also get specialized mods for your sentinel companions.
Use Ceramic Dagger incarnon and it breaks Khora completely, for some reason the whip uses the incarnon perks on CD, I'm sure it'll get changed but always a good choice 😂

Before Endo was a thing, mods were leveled up by fusing them with other mods. Yeah the term is outdated 😅

im getting to an average of my weapons doing 1.2k damage but i remember i was doing 100s of damage and just kept fighting like that and remembering the game being super hard but then i started upgrading my mods and switching them out it was so much better.
i started the game 4 months ago.im level 21 now and using Hildryn Prime with 8700 shield,1160 health,882 armor + rebuild shields helminth ability , Tenet Tetra or Tenet Arca Plasmor as primary , Kuva nukor as secondary , xoris and twin krohkur as melee. Arcane Primary Charger+Arcane Precision + Primary Merciless+Secondary Merciless+ Melee Retailation are arcanes. +5 tauforged purple archon with %45+15 electrical damage for primary weapon each.

Kuva Bramma was a lifesaver for me on my switch account. Crazy high AOE damage
Valkyr is one of the earliest frames that new players can easily get that is extremely powerful. (Infor for the newbies) Valkyr's 4th makes her immortal and makes her a melee only with her claws. If you are struggling to stay alive higher in the star chart, valkyr is a strong option. Rhino is also a great beginner option. His roar ability buffs damage the same way a faction damage mod buffs damage (Example: a mod that does +30% damage to grineer) The faction mods seem useless to newer players, as they do not inflate the damage numbers in your stats, but they are VERY strong due to how damage is calculated. Iron skin is also very strong. As soon as you can get Saryn prime, do so. Saryn does UNHOLY amounts of damage and her ability to do that damage scales VERY powerfully and even shreds lvl200. Furthermore, MHBlacky has done a Saryn vid that blew my mind. I wasn't aware she could even be that strong. I am MR 30 coming back after a 2 year break and there are many mods I don't have. These mods, especially with how they interact with Diriga, are incredible. I was never a Saryn player, but that vid inspired me to go for an advanced Saryn build. If you start at MR8 farming for these things, you will have that build FAR earlier than me. IMHO that is THE #1 build right now.

0:58 actually do the oposite, by how aiming works in these platforms its better for you to look at the general direction of the enemy, move your character instead of your camera to adjust the aim and hit the trigger when you see red
only go for recoil weapons if you are experienced on mobile fps and have knockback resistance, since you know to adjust aim you just want to move little

This stuff is easy to understand just a bit difficult to achieve. Im 300+ hours in the game and theres still so much to learn. I main grendel and love it. He has ridiculous health regen and armor with a certain augment. And on the topic of extra damage his "nourish" ability gives a nice bonus of viral damage to your attacks.
Do not use forma and orokin reactors on these early game weapons. Step 1 use forma and orokin reactors on your weapons

As one of the furthest ahead purely on iOS, I approve of this video. Aiming would be a lot easier if the DEs stole the setup from codm, you can’t utilize 4 finger claw or really even 3, as they will cancel out your movements. However I’m still decent enough that I get headshots with the film in prime a ton. I’m building out my gauss prime identical to your recent gauss video, to see what truly “melting” steel path feels like
As a iOS player finger claw is pretty hard because you can't make the buttons bigger and does need fixing

MIRAGE with the Cedo is fuckiing nuts and I reccomend you try it out. since you get 3 discs instead of 1 and if you have multi shot on you can get up to 4 or 5 shots of it at a time. crazy status
How come I can do a survival mission for 80 minutes with level 200 enemies with no reduced damage but then I do the zariman lvl 60 they are so much harder to kill

Cannot speak for mobile but on switch there's the option to use motion controls for aiming. Landing headshots is quite manageable and aiming with motion controls also helps a lot with abilities that require aiming to an enemy

I’m stuck at the last star chart missions bc I have phantasma and idk what mods to put on it I have no prime mods for it nor galvanized mods so I’m stuck I cannot find a budget build I need it bad to finish this so I can get galvanized mods from arbitrations is help

You also need the Veilbreaker quest done to to fit Archon shards because you get the Archon segment schematic at the end of it. And I think you also need to have completed the start chart to do Archon hunts to get the actual crystals, you also need a rank 30 warframe that has been forma'd at least once, but that part is going to have happened by that time anyway.

My advice if you're new is dont invest a lot of resources into weapons until you know it can handle Steel Path. I learned the hard way but if you like a weapon in normal just check on YT if and how it does endgame wise. Pretty much every weapon can wreck normal, but alot turn into pea shooters on the first SP mission and even with good mods just wont work well. If you're playing on mobile or Switch cold damage is good to get headshots as it slows or freezes enemies making up for it being harder to aim, put it on one of your weapons or companion (ideally sentinel with laser weapon with high status). I play on Switch and run Vauban Prime and Vectis Prime (Sniper) mainly, i use said companion but also have void dmg as a backup but thats a process that takes a bit to get to. Void damage gives you aimbot when it triggers, first shot triggers it and i can fire my sniper anywhere near them and it curves to them, only works on bullet weapons, lasers and others wont track.

Wait theres weak spots other than the head? I never knew that i know one warframe has an ability to highlight them but never knew about it being there without needing to use abilities. Which factions have which weaknesses other than headshot?
If you re referring to banshee, she is creating weakspots, not highlighting them (they can appear on a head tho). they can overlap, give a dmg multi depending on powerstrength and therefore allow you to oneshot everything aside from a few specific enemies in the game. Enemies with weakspots other than heads are: A few bosses, murmur faction, Necramechs, etc. But generally speaking, if it has head - shoot head.
I can say that corpus MOAs have a bigger weak point than the head, and I feel it’s right out of Star Wars: the battery on the back. It can even be hit from the front if you can aim well, and has a bigger multiplier than a headshot on em

I think Blacky obtained Yareli by other means, because I saw him use the footage of her in some of his videos.
She is also one of my favorite warframes (in fact, she is my third-most-used warframe). Even if you don't like the K-Drive mechanics, there is no excuse not to use Yareli now because we have the Loyal Merulina augment.

As a Warframe Veteran, Can I Suggest a Series on Weapon Builds including The Bad weapons i.e. Stug & Sonicor with the Intent of Making them the Absolute Pinnacle that their Damage can be. I just started teaching newer players about Modding and on someone's first Riven they Got Sonicor so I politely switched it with Pyrana riven. But as a Collector of Weird Rivens I'd love to see a Warframe series on making every weapon the best it could be possibly Steel-path worthy.

@@Rein142 I love my octavia. You can have more than one mandachord setup, and if you want to, you can run a silent setup, or, only the drums.
Also, nightwave sometimes has weapon slots or warframe slots as rewards to earn.
as a switch user, i rarely use my primary and secondary because the aiming sucks and i only use glaive weapons because you just need to aim in the general area and they will cease to exist. Also, is the kuva bramma good if you are on switch?

Yes kuva bramma would probably be good if u struggle with aim. Its a massive aoe explosion which deals big damage. Just aim towards a crowd and youll delete it. Only problem is its lack of ammo.
Also look into getting a weapon called "Probiscis Cernos" it requires a fair bit of work to get but believe me when I say the damage is real and aiming is entirely unnecessary.

Looked it up, unfortunately you can only replace Octavia's Amp ability, which means you would increase damage but have a drastically smaller Mallet range (and maybe strength?). Maybe worth it depending on the map/tile set.

Quite frankly the people who speak their praises to these aren't entirely being honest. It requires that you prepare for every single mission rather than building your weapon for general purpose. The bane mods are *decent* in the right circumstances, but are usually entirely not worth the time and effort to get and constantly change to use.
Just build your weapons in ways you can figure, adding more damage and the right elements will always be a good thing, and don't forget multishot.

Only if you think the weapon is worth keeping. If it's not something you plan to use for the long term or eventually plan to build with it and make it as strong as possible, then I would save the reactor for something that you will definitely use

It’s to your left if you fast travel there
Simulacrum. Head to any relay and open your gear wheel, select Sephelon Simaris and travel to him, turn left when you spawn in and the entrance is in front of you.
To unlock the Simulacrum, you must complete missions for him, which is also lucrative because it allows you to also get specialized mods for your sentinel companions.
khora w/ a stat stick is very good dps frame too
Use Ceramic Dagger incarnon and it breaks Khora completely, for some reason the whip uses the incarnon perks on CD, I'm sure it'll get changed but always a good choice 😂
