Coming back after a 5 year hiatus while having 3k hours on steam and here I am, having to relearning *everything*. Its incredible how much the game has changed, these guides have been a lifesaver.

The real drawback to using guides to figure out your warframe builds, is that you will just copy someone else but have no REAL comprehension of what those mods are actually doing. That said, I'm absolutely not a pro, though, and I'll likely never come up with an absolute top-tier myself - still, the trial and error is still pretty interesting - and it isn't un-fun. Especially when you actually make something that rocks.
I can help you with that… You use other people’s build and the way you play will automatically register making you change mods because you want to match your own play style. I do this with every game that has this similar feature. While doing this, you will actually start to read the mods. For example, if you feel like you are using too much energy, maybe add some more mods that can assist that. This way of thinking makes the game more enjoyable for me and I hope this helps.
@@l3luel3xus a lot of people don’t have an easy time just jumping into the middle - the same reason most games start laughably easy - easing the player into things gives much better player retention.
There are also people who won’t have a clue what to change due to not understanding the specific mechanics and what their damage is coming from - and a TON of folks will see the list of changes and it simply doesn’t translate from the paper into action without trying it all personally anyway.
It’s just easier to learn from the beginning for a lotta people, is all I’m getting at. Wasn’t implying a player COULDN’T just jump in from the middle - it’s just harder for many.
I like how they explain it and do the math for me, I never would have switched to condition overload and fully removed pressure point without someone explaining you can get more from that and weeping wounds easily
@@VeggyZ the difference is negligible if the result is that the player is learning the same things anyway. They're going to play the way they want to play, so a clean slate vs pre-built won't matter.
At the early/ Midgame available mods aren't exactly great so a guide doesn't hurt but late game you should definitely try your own builds
Finally, someone teaching the basics of modding ❤ most people don't test their builds and just copy builds without knowing what the build does. As someone who does 1h runs in steel path for testing, I agree with how you teach people on modding guns
I love how you break things down in a very understandable way instead of glossing over or assuming the viewer already knows. With warframe not explaining alot of these mechanics very well, youtubers like yourself are really doing us all a big public service ❤

Just so the newbies know when watching this, you cannot use primary or secondary arcanes until you unlock steel path. Just use base damage mods until then.

Kuva Chakkhur is definitely an outlier for slow firerate = bad for status. Thing hits like an absolute tonka truck on steroids with a hybrid setup

Low fire rate weapons usually go crit because you want it to kill with one shot, status chance better for weapon that can touch multiple target quickly like high fire rate weapons

Loved the video. I would suggest to make a video modding one weapon, and explaining. Showing why you choose one mod instead of another. Having only the explanation felt like something is missing. For example, get Accelta Prime, and mod it, explaining why you put mod X instead of mod Y.

I started last month. I just gotta warn u that the beginning is pretty boring and u might get overwhelmed by all of it. Starting is always the hardest when it comes to anything. I am obliged to give u the following tips: progress only in the starchart (the map) and do the quests, the story REALLY picks up once you reach neptune and it is AWESOME. Forget about the open world until you unlock all the planets. Enjoy

I love running the Paris prime with a guaranteed crit and high multiplier and high punch through. Then glance prime. Secondary doesn’t really matter. Then I’ll use mesa and get big damage fast with that for a pinch.
Another one is the high status kuva Zarr with rhino and running his iron hide or whatever it’s called. Usually run the broken war with that cuz it’s insanely fast and high damage.
Try using the Daikyu with Longbow Shot arcane, crit chance and crit damage. And then maybe use Kullervo as the warframe with his 3 ability.
I never really thought to use my load out to the fullest synergy possible, only trying to make it deal the most amount of Total damage possible for each weapon.

Also avoid spending money and in the 150-200h mark learn the trading system to make tons of platinum and get used to farming kuva, your gonna need 100s of thousands when rolling rivens (acquired after The War Within)

some people might go "but the galvanized mods have less multishop, if i go with split chamber, it has 90 while the galvanized version only has 80"
while that is true, since the Galvanized mod has a stacking effect. getting 1 single kill instantly makes the galvanized mod better than the normal mod
You can use the argument " b-but getting one kill is hard!! ", while yes if you are on steelpath with lvl 200 enemies, i dont think +10 multishot will make killing something extremely more easy

Cautious shot on primary exilus slots for AOE guns when you don't have primed sure footed or a warframe ability to prevent knockdown. Mods that increase beam length or projectile speed are good for beam weapons or weapons with short fall off. Silencers and ammo conversion can also be helpful depending on your goal and frame you use.

I would have put a little disclaimer at the start, that this is more of a midgame guide and that there is a more beginner friendly guide you made which is more fit for newer players.
Because i garantuee you aint no new player watching this too the end too even see that you made a video that could rlly help them out.
Especially considering how some of the mods in this vidoes arcanes and what not are only unlocked after comepleting the star chart or grinding out hours of vaults too even get a "rare" mod we tend too forget that alot of mods that we consider basic, tend too have drop chances of 5% or sometimes less.

one thing i dont understand right now is how people who have the same MR/Gun/Frame/Mods/Arcanes etc (also both using no shards) as me are doing double to triple my dmg.... when we test they are just as confused as me, its like my account has a -50% dmg modifier 24/7
Have you checked if they're doing some status priming that you maybe don't or if they run with companions that give them passive buffs?
Something similar happened to me long ago, ultil i started caring more about multi-shot, it was a day-night difference in my dps, don't max serration for rifles, instead focus on multishot mods (split chamber and vigilante armaments are my go to) having almost double shots means that You have double crit and double status chance 🤓☝️

Good stuff, I’m not too much of a fan of primers for my weapons so I tend to build my weapons for specific enemy types, one good against armor, the other shields so I can use frames in a wide variety of missions without having to alter my loadouts. Also I tend try and put different weapons on each frame, usually pertaining to the aesthetic or usability needs the frame has; sometimes a weapon only works because a frame has an ability to make it good, such as reload speed buffs, damage buffs, or defense reduction.
Sounds like the Cedo would be a great tool for you ;) Fat damage output and an alt fire that can do the priming all in one 😉
@@MHBlacky_ENG good suggestion, I haven’t been able farm that one up yet, I do like all in one weapons like that. I was always more of the frame optimizer over weapon optimizer so this video helps.

Missing for me in this video would be: A break down in how the different damage multipliers are calculated together including diminishing returns when you mod too much of one of the damage multipliers. I would also recommend to always check out a video or even the wiki if reading is not a problem for you and you have somewhat of an understanding/are further in the game, for some great ideas for use cases and possible Spezial quirks. For example on some weapons some mods or damage modifiers might scale even more different. Resulting in more damage multipliers.

the only problem i have is that im having problems finding said arcanes and getting my hands on extremely good mods for my builds to the point im trading plat for prime and some mods. Do you have a guide for that? If not please do one its a main struggle a lot of people overlook.
I am still trying to figure out how to mod my 60% Heat Kuva Kohm. I might try to focus on Status Chance / Effect then it sounds like, since I do a ton of heat / dot damage base line. Right now its modded for Viral on top of heat, but I am not sure its good >.>
I haven't played this game properly in years I think I am around MR21 so I put a lot of time into it, I tried it again at the start of the year and there was so much new stuff I didn't even know where to begin. Modding doesn't seem to have changed too much, just a lot of new options to choose from
warframe really needs to let you demo weapons if it's gonna have weapons with "fEaTuReS" that aren't listed in the weapon description or have pointlessly vague descriptions. Like the phenmor says it "becomes darkly aggressive" when it actually means "switches to full auto and gains radiation damage"

Fun fact, Valkyr's 4th ability lets you mod the claws but the damage of the claws with the mods also scales with the Ability Strength of the Warframe, meaning that you can build you Valk for Ability Strength and have more freedom to stick mods into the claws
Same goes for any frame with an ability weapon like Mesa and Excalibur
How do you figure out these things? Reading damage numbers, observing the damage?
it's a bit of a logic process, for valkyr for example, her ultimate ability takes out her claw melee weapon which is considered a melee weapon by the game, with that in mind if you check the ability you can see that it's affected by ability strength mods which increase the strength of her claws, therefore all the damage that you see in the claws when modding will be enhanced by the ability strength, therefore if you also attach things like arcanes that boost your ability strength per kill or enhance your melee weapon damage you'll get a perfectly synergized build @@laubowiebass
@@laubowiebass Simply put, reading "damage" numbers in the arsenal. While modding a frame you can see the ability icons on the left side. Hover over the icon with your mouse to see it's stats. Then just put on any mod that increases ability range, efficiency, strength or duration (for some rare cases armor too) and see if any stat on the abilities got adjusted (usually indicated by a change of color, green for an increase, with my color settings). So first put only strength, then only range etc. on your frame to see directly in the arsenal what's getting impacted. For Valkyr you will see a damage increase for her 4th ability if you put on ability strength.
Observing the damage ingame is pretty difficult since health, shield and armor can vary from enemy to enemy. That's why you mostly test stuff in the Simulacrum (you can get the key from Cephalon Simaris on a relay for 50k standing with his syndicate) as you can choose your enemy and won't fail a mission if you die.

I hard disagree with your mention of Secondaries purely as status primers. That's what Companions are for, you've even said in some of your other videos to use a Vulpaphyla for Viral spreads. Have you not seen what the Helstrum robotic weapon can do?
If you use the Secondary as a primer, that means you have to NOT be using your main damage weapon and spend some time priming enemies first. Every second your high-damage weapon is not firing, your overall DPS and mission completion time/chances are getting worse. Why not have a good companion automatically prime for you, so you can have your damage weapon firing as much as possible? Even the absolute best, highest-damage possible Companion build of any kind still has abject piss damage output compared to a WIDE spread of the Primaries and several Secondaries, so offload the priming job to the companion and focus your three weapons for three distinct situations. One wide-AoE room-clearer, one heavy single-target DPS weapon and one heavy Bleed weapon for extreme armor/damage attenuation will let you hit the ground running on any mission almost without having to pre-prep.

Yeah it all comes down to how the damage multipliers work. You can build too much of any of them which will result in diminishing returns. That is because for example when you add more base damage to a weapon it will be added onto the existing base damage. But if you now take a different multiplier instead like Elemental damage that will instead be multiplied with the base damage after so you have way more damage. Status chance to status damage can be very complicated tho in general that depends on the damage type you need/want to apply or the status chance. Important to notice is: Status damage is not the same as the status proc. If we take slash for example: The slash damage type is good against flesh but bad against armored units. The status effect tho which is called bleed ignores the armor entirely and is very good against armor.
Do you mean the Galvanized Status Mods or the 60/60s?
In general, if you need specific elements then better go for the 60/60s instead of the 90 Element Mods and the Status only Mods.
In case you mean the Galvanized Status Mods then they're pretty much always the better option except maybe for Primers 😉
I mean... That's easy .. you should Use Any and all advantages when Possible. The only time you shouldn't use Something is if it Just flatout doesn't Work (see Archons for Reference).
@@MHBlacky_ENG Sorry for not clarifying, I meant the 60/60s versus the 90 Element Mods. For instance I have something like ~260% Status Chance on my Kohm Shotgun and I'm just wondering if it's TOO much application and I can go for a 90 instead.

The Kohm Family of weapons have a Unique Gimmick where they Fire More Bullets as the Weapon Spools Up... And because it's a Shotgun... Your Status Chance gets Divided by The Number of Pellets.
Hence you Status Chance isn't Actually 260%.... That's only for the First Shot. 👀
