I’m Mexican American. I love this show. It represents your culture how you view it and on your terms . I love it!! Native people are owed so much by this government. This is such an awesome representation!!! Keep them coming, we love this show and want more. I wish the episodes would be longer 😀
Yes, I don't understand why why it's ending?? Who's decision that it should end so soon. WHAT is going to place it?? Are we supposed to thankful that it was only given so many seasons and so limited episodes?? What opportunities will the actors have? I will still watch... It will be sad to see it end.
I dont think they even know how much this show means to people like me. I didnt grow up in the rez or connected to our tribe. No. My grandfather was taken from his home on the rez at 5 yrs old and given a new name by the boarding school. The only people who looked like me I ever saw were my mom and grandfather. I have spent my whole life being asked what I am, people assuming what I am, and my age being questioned all the time. It hurts to feel like you are alone, and since Standing Rock it has opened up this world of people who have given my family so much hope that my mom is finally getting her tribal citizeship. Whats funny to me more than anything is how much we grew up with our tribes culture and didnt even know it. I love this show and Harjo for making it happen.
Ive waited my entire life for this show. 74 years. its like there was a vice around my heart thats suddenly been removed. To all the producers writers directors actors sound people, catering people, lighting, cinematographer camera people THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my suddenly expanded heart.
As a Korean-American, I’m so happy and impressed to see how this show and its stories were brought to the screen. It now serves as a wonderful example that other minorities and underrepresented groups can follow. It stands in stark contrast to how “Kim’s Convenience” was run and the difficulties that created. Also, big ups for finding a place for Bobby Lee and all he brings with his comedy!
Completely agree. That’s exactly how I feel about all of the south Asian comedy sitcoms that really just pander to an audience that is not actually south Asian rather than making it an experience for the viewer to see a new side of the culture and it’s people
I'm proud to see this continue to strive,as a Chicano with Native backgrounds i love to see,and notice the culture and beauty of the story telling. As well as the humor...Much Love and Respect to all my brother's and sisters, true greatness comes from our gente.
This is my favorite show! I’ve rewatched the episodes, I’ve subscribed to 1491s and watched these talented fellas, watched vignettes, I practice my war cry all the time, can’t get “Come and Get Your Love” out of my head, and Deer Woman is my new hero, she gets the bad guys that take Indigenous women. Dallas Goldtooth is brilliant.
This is pure Gold and will always be. Not just to Native Americans and Canadians and African Americans and Canadians but to everyone! I'm from Scotland and I felt like this too! We all have our story. You all just tell it so well and hit the nails on every head Perfectly 😊❤
as a native american, i absolutely am in love with your guys culture ❤️ we both had our land stolen. i can’t wait to visit your islands some day and appreciate your culture and beautiful people
Memories of my childhood just popped into my mind. The good memories, the bad memories, and the ugly memories just flashed through my mind. I just loved the show. Only the first episode is available in Canada so far but I love it.
It’s kinda dope hearing how hood movies like Belly were how many native communities felt represented. As someone who’s black and native the connections we share feel strong
Shout out from Treaty 1 Canada. Indigenous and proud!! I am anishinaabe and plains cree and I am so so happy to see Indigenous representation. I've been waiting for so long for this.

Much love from Hopi here in AZ. I personally never watched the show but seen clips here and there and been hearing a lot of great things about it. We need another series called the "Crazy Horses" 😆 Shout out to Boy and Taika.
She hit the nail on the head being Native myself and only being able to relate to black shows growing up because we didn't have much Native content to relate to.
YESSS! Lovin this whole production. Thank you to all of the folks who made this show happen. More of these shows with natives and indigenous peoples, Please!
Reservation Dogs is one of THE BEST shows on right now. It's hitting on all cylinders. I'm looking forward to what else is coming this season and for the next 7 seasons. I'm ready to see what Sterling Harjo and crew do with a full length movie.
This show is the best. We never got to experience our heritage when ggrandpa left so it's really given me solace of a community I never had. Thank you for making this show
This show had such incredible heart and told stories of unrelenting pain and loss that could only be overcome through acceptance and community. It's a shame that it ended so soon.
As a proud indigenous Mandandanji man from Australia. I feel like the similarities between native Americans and Aboriginal Australians are so evident. I love the humour and the deepness of the stories. The unknown warrior is my favourite character ever. Spectacular job
Best show ever, some scenes I cant stop laughing at 🤣. I luv it ❤. Hope I'm there when yall Natives receive your Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame 👍👏👌.
I really dint even watch TV but I love this show so much!!!! I see so many of my friends and relatives in these characters. And the cast is just incredible!!!! So much love for you guys!!!! Thank you!

Just finished watching this series, it's really cool, funny, and awesome about friendship and family. So sad about how Daniel ended his life and that's why this series warn people about mental health. Looking forward to the season 2!! 🙌
Never heard of this show till today. I am looking forward to watching season 1. Let me also say that it's about time. The only thing I knew about the Reservation was the look inside I got watching those American Gangster episodes on A&E. I felt like the white kid learning about N.W.A. for the first time. Just living with blinders on. Looking forward to the series.😁
*****There was no Little-Teepee-On-The-Prairie tv programs for us to watch***** We had to be good story tellers because no one else was telling our stories. THanks man..
I grew up relating to black shows/culture because it was "close enough". We found out my great great grandfather fled Arizona to Texas, changed his lastname, learned Spanish and assimilated into Mexican cultural to keep from being put on a reservation or killed. Growing up I was never accepted by Mexicans because I wasn't like them, I didn't come from Mexico, so I was teased about being white. White people didn't accept me of course, to them I was a Mexican. Blacks were a little more accepting of me but still was bullied by them because I'm not "their kind". This show is just phenomenal because it's something our people can relate to, seeing people that look like us on screen and also behind the scenes. I'm so happy to see something like this in my lifetime and hope to see more in the future! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hey, Sterlin. Your dad and my mom apparently went on a couple of dates in high school. It's been really cool seeing a show that feels so familiar to my own life. Wado for bringing Native voices mainstream.
Thought I would watch this show and now I'm hooked been waiting for the next series , its so interesting see the life style and beliefs. one person that was very interesting was the the deer lady, I've always heard about her and I thought was cool and mysterious to see her.
I absolutely love this show. But is it weird that I feel like an imposter relating with the content because I was told I wasn't "indian enough" growing up? Watching this show brings me nostalgia like no other. Very bittersweet. Thank you!
I have so many words and feelings about this. Especially the writer explaining "close enough" of a representation isn't good enough. I remember wanting to be Pocahontas because she was the only brown Disney chic back in the day. I get it, and I fully support y'all and have been telling my friends about this show! 💪🏾✊🏾❤️
