Charlie cracks me up. He makes Seekonk Speedway fun during the spectator drags. He will brakecheck the hell out of opponents but when that white Camaro did it to him, he threw a full temper tantrum on the track. LOL. But it was great, very entertaining driver.
That's not a good thing. Can't stand people like that.. if he could take what he dishes out, then sure, that's fine.. but not when he turns in to a crybaby for having the same thing done to him. Unless he's not serious about it, I haven't watched that part of the video yet and I'm unfamiliar with everyone. I just started watching these not long ago. EDIT: Okay nevermind, I finished the video and didn't really even see anything. Guess he was just joking about it, then.

I love to watch and reminisce ,thank you for the videos, I wish I could hear the announcer better but I still love it. Wish I could watch videos of my time on the track in "Badvelle II". It had 10 first place trophies.

I do love that blazer. He knows how to freak out a Tesla and make it cut power to avoid an "accident". But he can drive for sure. I love that its built from random bits of this and that. Making his own suspension setup, it's really an engineering marvel. I'd love to look under it up close.
That was quite a treat at the end, seeing Charlie square up vs a proper race car ( outlaw super late model? ) 😄

You'll have to excuse me if I get this wrong because I'm British and we don't have many of these cars, so with that out the way, was it a Chevy Blazer that won or may be a Tornado, I dunno, but that thing with 18" drag wheels & tyres would be fast in the 8th & quarter mile, nice 👍👍👍

That VR4 driver actually knew how to drive an oval. Would love to see someone with a little more experience behind the wheel of that GTR. That launch control is no joke.

It's just another tech like diesel vs gas. Why separate it if it can make for great racing? Besides its spectator drags and that's what makes it super fun to watch rather than some cookie cutter car race with restrictions and limiters.
The thing that makes it hard is that a lot of these guys have several hours into their builds . Then some dude just buys Tesla and is able to compete with them. That's why in Rally they have a completely separate category for electric vehicles.
So. You wouldn't have an electric class, theres just not enough "racers" in them. I give props to the guys bringing high dollar vehicles into these races, they have alot to lose. With that said, i also agree that any donkey can buy a tesla plaid and spank hardcore racers who wrench on thier own cars. EVs dont belong in this style or racing, just like a huge SUV. Aint that right Tberg? 😂

Been watcing buddy in the old blazer for a minute. Hes got that thing dialed in pretty well now. One thing he has that others dont is a driver mod.
You're allowed to run slicks now? That's going to price out most drivers with cars that aren't getting trailered to the races.

Dude with the spiral graphic on the blazer should be banned from these events as he is notoriously wreckless in the footage I have seen. The graphic on the back intended to confuse his opponents says it all really.

Dear Owosso speedway, maybe consider a single elimination with a 100$ buy back option.
This was a test for them, double elimination with a $100 buy back option. They’re very open to working with the drivers on best format which is great for the future!

As cool as that Blazer is he really shouldn't be allowed to drive a racecar in spectator drags.. the whole point is for people to come out and have fun with their daily drivers then you got this clown trailering his rig (gutted, slicks, caged, NOT street legal) to tracks and collecting a paycheck. I would imagine other drivers feel the same whether they voice it or not...
That skyline def threw that race. Prob knows the s10’s track record of slamming into people if he isn’t winning.

@@jwallace2913 it’s tough to see from the angle but he definitely didn’t squeeze the Tesla, Tesla actually slows down in the corners when the wheel is turned. That’s part of its system that wasn’t turned off for the race. Gtr didn’t throw the race either, just doesn’t do the corners well and was sliding a lot too.

Not exactly. It got to the final. Plus handed the Blazer a loss. They both "packed" at the same time, seeing how that was the last matchup.

I’ve watched enough spectator drags now to know you’d wanna have big power or a big a#$ wing for downforce so you don’t have to brake entering corners😂. Or like the driver of the Blazer, have both😎👌
It's like the dude in the GTR is afraid of corners. Very slow through the corners for a car like that. Or maybe he didn't have slicks like some of the other competitors

@@maxjackson1373 NO the GTR was a daily driver only lightly tuned and on worn street tyres unlike the cheater Blazer thats not road legal but a stripped out purpose built trailer queen on slick race tyres. purpose built race cars and 100k+ teslas kill the enjoyment of these races

the guy driving the GTR had just horrific lines, if he had better lines I think he could have done much better.
pay attention to mad lad, he has some good lines for what he is driving.

A good tire is absolutely necessary for victory.
The 99.00 "wallyworlds" special...aren't going to help you in the corners, acceleration or braking.

Always remember, teslas have a built in auto brake feature and will stop if you cut them off….just so long as you can get in front or close to in front of them. This feature can’t be turned off lol

That S-10 is a fully prepped truck for that oval. Only thing Not race about it is the damn body. Full cage and race slicks lol.. They should have a DOT tire rule with a Tread Wear rating minimum. Just my opinion.
S10 has an ls7 and f body suspension pieces and I have never seen Charlie running slicks and don't think it's allowed. Cars need to be street legal. Not sure how you would think it's fully prepped for that track when it's a brand new track and he's never been there. What do you know about Charlie's s10 that I didn't tell you?

I cut out the dice rolls for almost every race, ik it can be a lot but also didn’t want to cut the cars rolling onto the track.
After running half the races in the rain, successfully and without incedent, the "BEST" decision was to run the last few races the next day, eliminating 3 of the fastest cars? Define "best".
It was getting real slick bub. How you expect to keep a safe race going if it's that slick. Look at the red Camaro and Corvette race there were skating with the Camaro almost kissing the wall. Haha

At the end of the day you can’t please everyone. Track handled it very well with circumstances out of their control. I know other tracks that would have canceled the rest of the show all together. Definitely understand it isn’t the best for those with commitments the next day but the best we can do is adapt with what we’re given. That goes for anything in life haha
I did this back in the mid 80's in Woodstock GA and it turned into the best times of my life. They wound up having a completely stock class and I mean stock. But they made a "Modified" class that was run what you bring. Of course it got totally out of hand, and that's when I found my nitch, I loved it. But I never liked the name Spectator racing ,I didn't think it did it justice. Spectator drags is better, but I think that "Oval Drags" sounds better ,because we know that most of the guys doing it are there for one thing, and that's to race. I don't remember any of the Super late model winners that won their events the nights I raced the modified class.
These guys need a little bigger track !

An embarrassing, lose of manhood, flopping in the mud without pig squealing defeat. The White toaster with condemns for wheels is a joke on a race track other than a drag strip. But…….I must give credit to them. Knowing your vehicle is seriously inferior in the turns and still race is noble.

I find it hard to believe that the car rental company gave that guy permission to drive their Tesla Plaid in the spectator drag race. I was happy to see Charlie Gardinob beat him, and put that GTR to shame too, that was amazing.
