Even though BREXIT left plenty of leeway for UK not to follow EUs dictates or US. All 3 PMs from Rus v UkrN onwards have blindly lead us to this; high inflation, expensive energy, low growth scenario. Plenty of emergency powers would allowed partial/full re-nationalisation of the oil&gas industry. Even the Germans have nationalised large amounts of their energy sector - yet we stuck to Neo-lib dogma while shelling out billions to ZHellnsky & his assorted Nazi's.
BREXIT has had less effect than the UkrN war & we, the collective west; lied our way into provoking this war, as we; promised no push for NATO for UkrN & that we'd stop them committing atrocities against the Russian speaking areas. Even former CiA boss says w provoked this war!
For a financial whizz Sunak ignored major economic & financial plays that could have saved the economy & instead he preened for WEF & prioritised UkrN political aims over the UKs economic needs. He came up short politically economically & strategically.
