How do they still not get it? Leave Westminster, walk down any street in what remains of a British majority town, and just talk to people, not to each other. They like Labour, are disconnected. Migration, foreign cultures, foreign criminals, soaring violence. No sign of anyone wanting to sort it! Poland shows the way. Good to see articulate young people talking about the next leader. Then you get some bloke saying Nigel is not in tune with modern Britain, of course the Tories were that’s why they are so successful. Also, To think Nigel Farage will jump on to a sinking ship is more than wishful thinking.
Farage got just 5 seats, he won his own seat at the 8th attempt and since then has barely set foot in his own constituency, the Lib Dem’s have 72 seats, they came second in dozens more, that’s the real threat to the Tories, a Liberal party challenging them in their liberal minded southern heartlands. If you look at voting patterns amongst voters aged under 40, the Tories and Reform are fighting for 4th and 5th place behind Labour, Lib Dem’s and Greens amongst this group. Millenials are not becoming more right wing as they reach their 40s a break with traditional voting progression in the UK, and one big reason for that is Brexit and Farage!

The tories seem to be determined to become the Reform Party. The problem with that is we've already got a party who are REALLY good at being Reform so the tories can only be a Reform tribute act and no one wants that. They need to offer something different.
