I always love musician who don't take themselves too seriously, experiment with different genres and show a sense of humor in their music, but often, those bands and artists are often not the most talented musicians and they use the humanistic elements to stand out that way. "Disgustingly good..." Perfect way to describe them. Hate/Love is one of the new but more serious songs and its also quite a banger, I just recently discovered them as well and have been enjoying the ride. I appreciated hearing you in your native language, so the subs were helpful lol, your English is quite advanced as well.
Found this song randomly, loved it. Been watching reaction videos. You have a very genuine and emotive face. I also appreciate the detailed breakdown being in segments after the initial listen. Great reaction video.
It's a fun tune! 😊 I'm glad you like my reaction/analysis format, please hang around for more! I have "PUMP IT" ready to go, just waiting for unblocking.🤪
As a German who was enjoing his time abroad in Kajaani back in 2005 I've learned that anything hard (hardcore, hardstyle, you name it) doesn't surprise a Finn. You prove that. btw: I was not so much surprised about the "mitä", but I missed the occasioal "perkele"... 😂
"distustingly good" the exact 2 words I said after hearing that transition first time also... Best mix of electronic and metal since pendulum/in flames - self vs self
It's always fun seeing someone experiencing this band the first time. Would be cool if you looked at their other popular stuff (Hypa Hypa and Pump it), though admittedly, musically this is probably their best song.
Out of those 3 popular reaction songs maybe, but I think their best song is MC Thunder 2. Unless want a well written song you can actually get behind for being good, not just dumb and catchy, in which case I give it to Love/Hate lol.
First time viewer here. When you started out in Finnish, I tried to get my captions turned on. By the time I did, the next words out of your mouth were in English and I was like, damn, TH-cam has really improved their subtitles...it even sounds like English now. :) I really envy you bilingual folks. So cool how you just switch back and forth so casually.

eskimo callboy is amazing, really interesting breakdown of the different styles at work here. there are 2 vocalist in EC , a (mostly) clean vocalist, niko and a harsh vocalist kevin. Niko's clean are unbelievable and make such a great contrast to kevin's harsh vocals. that kind of music for EC kinda started with Hypa Hypa, so it's definitely a good check.

Very good reaction. Another band similar to Eskimo Callboy is the Australian band 12 Foot Ninja. They also have a good mix of Metal Groove Fusion and humour. You would like their material, especially their collaboration with Tatiana from Jinjer on "Over and Out" (OMV)
Interesting stuff Anna ! The different styles of music and driving, pounding , loud and screaming in your face lyrics were compelling ! They are very funny and add a definite parody to their video arrangement ! It's not my cup of tea but it certainly is eye catching and has a catchy lyrical sound that draws you in ! The video production was superb and couldn't help but laugh at their haircuts ! Thank you for posting this group that I have not heard of before ! Might have to watch a few more of their songs for a honest appraisal ! Thanks Anna ! 🤗👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️

This vid and these guys are hilarious, and great. As always, love you’re reactions and going through the songs. A cool group for you think about going over, Liliac! They are pretty awesome. They’ve done covers, very well and have their own music also.
The guy at the end says "What's going on here? Piss off, you rags!" (rag is used as an insult in german meaning something like loser) If you want to hear a more serious side of them, I recommend "hate/love", there's also a live version where Nico's vocals really shine
I love that your captions have umlauts on the do-do-do-do-do. I had not thought of them that way and now I cannot think of them any other way. Happy New Year! I really enjoy your analysis and breakdowns. I get to learn something while expanding my musical repertoire! Love the channel. If you don't already have a long enough list of different music to listen to next, might I suggest Band Maid? They are a terrific Japanese rock band with lots of varied influences (metal, pop, jazz, punk). They sing in a combination of Japanese and English. Two subtitled, live songs I would suggest would be "Choose Me" or "Warning" from their you tube channel. I also understand that they do not block much. :)

Hyvää uutta vuotta! Thank you for this awsome reaction :) I'm from Germany and EC is also coming from Germany. I loved your reaction, the combination of you speaking finnish with english subs is perfect for me, who started to learn finnish! As the others said, you should check out Hypa Hypa and Pump it, maybe you should check out MC Thunder as well. As EC will be on tour together with Blind Channel, it would be great for me to see reaction to their music as well. Can imagine the analyse of Niko's rap/singing and Joel's singing as an interesting one. As they will release a new album somewhere around march/april it would be nice ;) Nähdään!

I just understood the half of the video (and I really have to admit that finnish sounds cute), but you definitly got the vibes of the song. It's a shame that the german Television didn't let Eskimo Callboy take their place in the ESC Pre-Contest. They are "not suitable for radio"... But there is a Petition going on to bring them to ESC. Much Love from Germany!
@@annavaskelainen Sadly the german Television gives a sh*t on the petition, so I guess I'll have to vote for The Rasmus in this year's Eurovision. Their song Jezebel is really good, but lame in comparison to Eskimo Callboy
Oooh Turmion kätilöt were supposed to be the support band for Nightwish when i went to see them here in the UK. For some reason it ended up being Beast in Black instead, they were great though. Great video!! Your commentary is super interesting :D
I never have written such before: but you are so beautiful and your voice and personality seems so cool and sweet, nice reaction and greetings from Germany
Hi Anna, very funny reaction to this hilarious band. Incredible mix of genres and I agree... "disgustingly good" hehe. I have the same pool and this band make me very interesting ideas heheh. Thank you for your greetings, enjoy your fishing time, and the snow, and greetings from 🗿Chile 🇨🇱
Two things, 1: you are absolutely gorgeous! And 2: I freaking lost it at “We say dö dö dö dö dö, that’s deep”😂 I just discovered your channel and I’m completely here for it
I really liked your reaction and your breakdown of the song. You need to do "Pump It" next. They're hoping to enter the Eurovision Song Contest with that song! Thanks for the English subtitles.
Disgustingly good? Exactly! 😂🤘🏻 I like your quite precise and understandable explanations, which you also bring across very sympathetically. Kiitos! 🙏🏻 Hello and greetings from the origin country of these crazy genius guys. _____________________ 【 _Our rock never dies ever. Forever!_ 】- from BAND-MAID 'Manners' 🕊️
Hey Anne, found xoure channel just today, thanks to this video. I really like how you express youre joy or feelings in youre reactions and the undertitle as well. Binged about 5 or so videos till now.... well, means I might have to much time ;) Ive seen you reacted to Epica and Floor. Now youre still missing to Symphonic-Metal-Queens. Anneke van Giesbergen and Sharon del Adel. Theyve done a duet as well, which is widely known as "best duet ever", officially called "Somewhere". Actually not my go to music, but I could immagine, youre gonne like it. Keep up the good work, stay safe and healthy.
This whole video I was trying to work out what language you were speaking. At one point I thought I knew, i thought Dutch for a second but quickly realized that wasn't it. Then I actually saw the title. You're Finnish...it's in the damn title. I feel stupid haha
Awesome reaction. I like the way you look at the whole song and vocal parts. As you asked for some recommendations, i definitely have some. I see that you reacted mostly on videos which shows some decent vocal skills. So i hope my favorites will fit your taste of music. Kalafina - Kyrie, Oblivious (live) (They have such great voices, I always get goosebumps) AnnenMayKantereit - Oft gefragt (Henning has an incredible voice) DIR EN GREY - Ain't afraid to die (live) (Kyo also has an incredible voice and an amazing range, this song is also full of passion, it's one of my all time favorites) LOVEBITES / Thunder Vengeance, Set the world on fire (live) (The whole band is so much talented, but this is metal and there's a lot going on in their songs, might be overwhelming) Dollsbox - Take my chance (This is like Eskimo Callboy, Talent + Fun, but different style) And of course Eskimo Callboy - Pump it (the transitions between genres are so perfect in this song.. i love it)
I love it when metal bands go into a pop phase.. like you already know these bands do amazing stuff.. Then when they go into a pop phase its actually fun, using the good elements of pop with something refreshing. Like years ago I would of been a metal elitist but now? I love this shit, its party music.
That was a great reaction from you Anna!!! A song which was not good to hear for me while driving, but good for waking up with.. :-) the guy at the end has spoken in German and has asked them to go home (not in a friendly way) 😉😉😉
Great breakdown of a fun song. I like how you switch from Finnish to English so effortlessly. I have a band for your consideration. Bandmaid, who've become my 2nd all time favourite rock band, are brilliant performers. I recommend 3 live performances from the 2020 World Domination Tour. Domination, Freedom and Play. You won't be disappointed. The Maidiacs will invade your channel
They are from Germany: Eskimo Callboy is a German metalcore band formed in Castrop-Rauxel in 2010. They take a more relaxed approach to the genre, and are known for their comedic songs, live shows and videos. (Wikipedia)
I loved your reaction. I also like that you had English subtitles. Thank you. I can't wait to see you react to Eskimo Callboy's songs Hypa Hypa and Pump It. Also, if you like a mixture of styles you should react to Falling in Reverse. The Trilogy which are Losing My Mind, Losing My Life and Drugs. Also the stand alone songs... Popular Monster, The Drug in Me is Reimagined and I'm Not a Vampire Revamped are also standouts.
I'm happy you appreciated the reaction and the subs! 😊 I should see more of EC, I agree. I actually have reacted to "The Drug in Me is Reimagined", you can find it from my channel if you scroll back a few months! xx
Your switching between English and Finnish is really endearing... for some reason xD Maybe Im just nostalgic as I grew up with quite large number of Finnish friends and these days I dont come across the language as often? I dunno. Anyway, nice video, good analysis :D Check out their songs Hypa Hypa and Pump It as well if you havnt already, theyre phenomenal. Varma hälsningar från grannlandet
You're the first to mention they sound a bit like Turmion Kätilöt, that's what I immediately thought when I listened to their breakdown in Hypa Hypa, that stuff really scratches my itch.
I just rewatched 'The Fifth Element' (the movie), and i gotta say finnish sounds remarkably like the dialect Leeloo speaks. Also, it's beautiful to listen too, not harsh on the ears at all.
@@annavaskelainen if we're going to go completely psycho on this channel let's get into Frank Zappa🤣 Dude was way ahead of his time. And considered to be a genius among some of his colleagues.
@@annavaskelainen Hey Anna, have you seen the video of Frank on a TV talk show (Steve Allen) where they shot the bull for a little bit, and then they bought out I believe it was a tricycle and Frank actually made music from it with a violin bow it was crazy hilarious. You should definitely check out their most current song "Pump It". They applied with that song for the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
2:29 'This chorus is so God damn catchy!' Yes, they look like crazy Catholic monks with that hair. I also watched it for the first time....and for the last time.

2 playthroughs in 1 reaction video?
*_perfection_*
Awwweee! ❤️
A woman of taste and class I see, someone who knows hardstyle!
😏
I just understood the half of the video (and I really have to admit that finnish sounds cute), but you definitly got the vibes of the song. It's a shame that the german Television didn't let Eskimo Callboy take their place in the ESC Pre-Contest. They are "not suitable for radio"... But there is a Petition going on to bring them to ESC.
Much Love from Germany!
Hope you had cc on at least? 😊 I think these guys should have definitely been German's choise for Eurovision this year!
@@annavaskelainen Sadly the german Television gives a sh*t on the petition, so I guess I'll have to vote for The Rasmus in this year's Eurovision. Their song Jezebel is really good, but lame in comparison to Eskimo Callboy
Disgustingly good! Oh that's the best comment so far! 🖤🤘
😂
"Disgustingly good" caused me to click the 👍button, epic comment.
Oooh Turmion kätilöt were supposed to be the support band for Nightwish when i went to see them here in the UK. For some reason it ended up being Beast in Black instead, they were great though.
Great video!! Your commentary is super interesting :D
Ooh they were? Yeahh Beast in Black is good as well!
Thank you for your comment, your support is much appreciated! xx
I never have written such before: but you are so beautiful and your voice and personality seems so cool and sweet, nice reaction and greetings from Germany
❤️ Greetings to Germany! xx
Anyone else here not speak Finnish but can still follow the analysis?
Amazing communicator.
(and that was before I realised there were subs)
And they say Finnish is one of the hardest languages - and here I am understanding half of Anna`s phrases! ;-)
I'm happy you liked this one! 😊 Greetings to Chile! xx
Two things, 1: you are absolutely gorgeous! And 2: I freaking lost it at “We say dö dö dö dö dö, that’s deep”😂 I just discovered your channel and I’m completely here for it
😂 welcome to the gang Eric, I'm happy to know you enjoy my comment so much! xx
Really catch tune. I got it in my ears for days.
And the German Part at the End was so funny :D
By the way, you are beautiful.
I really liked your reaction and your breakdown of the song. You need to do "Pump It" next. They're hoping to enter the Eurovision Song Contest with that song! Thanks for the English subtitles.
😊 Thank YOU for this lovely comment! xx
I love hardstyle and heavy metal... this band is just poggers
The ‚we say: dö dö dö dö‘ goes soooo damn hard on concerts
Just found your channel and instantly I turned subtitles off. I'm trying to learn finnish so it fun to try and learn the language this way
ooh! Next time write me in Finnish then would you?`😉
Disgustingly good? Exactly! 😂🤘🏻
I like your quite precise and understandable explanations, which you also bring across very sympathetically. Kiitos! 🙏🏻
Hello and greetings from the origin country of these crazy genius guys.

I'm happy to know you appreciate my content Phareon!
Greetings to Germany! xx
Hey Anne, found xoure channel just today, thanks to this video. I really like how you express youre joy or feelings in youre reactions and the undertitle as well.
Binged about 5 or so videos till now.... well, means I might have to much time ;)
Ive seen you reacted to Epica and Floor.
I'm happy to know you appreciate my content Sven! 😊
Anneke van Giesbergen and Sharon del Adel are in my list, I'll add your vote to both of them. xx
This whole video I was trying to work out what language you were speaking.
At one point I thought I knew, i thought Dutch for a second but quickly realized that wasn't it.
Then I actually saw the title.
You're Finnish...it's in the damn title. I feel stupid haha
You are not alone in not noticing the title 😂😂😂
Greetings fromm Austria😁..your great,Anna...and finally Eskimo👍🤟
Great reaction and loved your dancing there , I saw interview with them and at the end the guy says " what's going on, fxxx off"
How can one stand still while listening to this?! 😂
@@annavaskelainen well you could say you had the moves and look forward to you doing them again hahaha
Awesome reaction. I like the way you look at the whole song and vocal parts.
As you asked for some recommendations, i definitely have some. I see that you reacted mostly on videos which shows some decent vocal skills. So i hope my favorites will fit your taste of music.
Kalafina - Kyrie, Oblivious (live) (They have such great voices, I always get goosebumps)
AnnenMayKantereit - Oft gefragt (Henning has an incredible voice)
DIR EN GREY - Ain't afraid to die (live) (Kyo also has an incredible voice and an amazing range, this song is also full of passion, it's one of my all time favorites)
LOVEBITES / Thunder Vengeance, Set the world on fire (live) (The whole band is so much talented, but this is metal and there's a lot going on in their songs, might be overwhelming)
Dollsbox - Take my chance (This is like Eskimo Callboy, Talent + Fun, but different style)
And of course Eskimo Callboy - Pump it (the transitions between genres are so perfect in this song.. i love it)
That is the ultimate review/compliment "That was disgustingly Good!" pretty much covers Eskimo Callboy (may they never change that name)
😂
That moment when i realize you know "hardstyle" litrly blew my mind, love ya !
hahahh love you right back! xx
Danke Liebe Anne.! 🤘
You're one of the few that actually noticed the Hardstyle breakdown!
yayy!!
I love it when metal bands go into a pop phase.. like you already know these bands do amazing stuff.. Then when they go into a pop phase its actually fun, using the good elements of pop with something refreshing. Like years ago I would of been a metal elitist but now? I love this shit, its party music.
That was really enjoyable! I was surprised that you knew all the metal terminology. Disgusting is the best compliment for metal-esque music lol
;)
That was a great reaction from you Anna!!! A song which was not good to hear for me while driving, but good for waking up with.. :-) the guy at the end has spoken in German and has asked them to go home (not in a friendly way) 😉😉😉
Thank you Dirk. 😊 Ohhh okay thank you for the translation!
(Wikipedia)
Finnish sounds like a thai person speaking german, its rad. Great reaction + breakdown.
I should see more of EC, I agree.
I actually have reacted to "The Drug in Me is Reimagined", you can find it from my channel if you scroll back a few months! xx
Your switching between English and Finnish is really endearing... for some reason xD
Maybe Im just nostalgic as I grew up with quite large number of Finnish friends and these days I dont come across the language as often?
I dunno.
Anyway, nice video, good analysis :D
Check out their songs Hypa Hypa and Pump It as well if you havnt already, theyre phenomenal.
Varma hälsningar från grannlandet
hehehee well good to know! 😊 The nostalgia might play a big part yes!
Thank you for your comment and suggestions, hälsningar till granne! xx
Interesting comparison to Turmion Kätilöt that I just kind of can't unsee now
Yass I am glad I'm not alone with this opinion!
You're the first to mention they sound a bit like Turmion Kätilöt, that's what I immediately thought when I listened to their breakdown in Hypa Hypa, that stuff really scratches my itch.
Ahhh finally someone who thought the same! I'm glad I'm not alone with this opinion! 😂
Finally someone knows Hardstyle :) Great analysis.
I just rewatched 'The Fifth Element' (the movie), and i gotta say finnish sounds remarkably like the dialect Leeloo speaks. Also, it's beautiful to listen too, not harsh on the ears at all.
🥰
Came here for the Eskimo. Stayed for the cuteness
Loistava ja hieno analyysi ja kiitos! Ja turmarit voit laittaa myös tutkintaan
Noted!
Well, it's not my bag of weed but it was a good reaction I liked your interesting take on it. Have a blessed evening Anna. ❤️ From the States
I understand that this kind of music divides ppl a lot! 😊
Greetings to the States, thank you for your support! ❤️
@@annavaskelainen if we're going to go completely psycho on this channel let's get into Frank Zappa🤣 Dude was way ahead of his time. And considered to be a genius among some of his colleagues.
@@honcp4208 Frankie was totally ahead of his time!
@@annavaskelainen Hey Anna, have you seen the video of Frank on a TV talk show (Steve Allen) where they shot the bull for a little bit, and then they bought out I believe it was a tricycle and Frank actually made music from it with a violin bow it was crazy hilarious. Have a blessed day. ☮️ Edit: I had to double check on this so I went back and watched the video and it was actually a bicycle with a bass bow an drumsticks.
Nää on ihan pimeen hyvii hemmoi.. Pump it, Hypa hypa ja tää... video.. silkkaa kultaa :D
tosi viihdyttävää!
You should definitely check out their most current song "Pump It".
They applied with that song for the German preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
I shouuuld! I hope to see them taking part in Eurovision, that would be so cool!
2:29 'This chorus is so God damn catchy!' Yes, they look like crazy Catholic monks with that hair. I also watched it for the first time....and for the last time.
hahahah :D
Nico takes Eskimo Callboy to a new level 🤘🤘🤘
3:30 We say: dö-dö-dö-dö-dö........... 3:35 That's deep! Great analysis!
😊
