: Hello Dunham's glove repair. I enjoy watching your video on refurbishing that glove. I was impressed on how you refurbished this baseball glove. Back in the 70's I worked in a sporting good store where I learn how to relace softball and baseball gloves. I was taught by a gentleman who had been relacing gloves for more than 20 years, his name was Gil. Just a little history. After viewing your video I went and pulled out all of my old 50 year old baseball gloves. Not like yours mines were in very good condition due to the fact that I had use glove oil and condition the gloves prior to putting them away. The reason for this comment is If you condition your glove properly they will last for quite some time. I had conditioned my gloves when they were brand new and a little touch up here and there over a period of time. Avid player, 3rd Base, catchers and left field. I am 69 years old now and I play catch with my five-year-old grandson who now is playing t-ball. LOL. OUTSTANDING INFO VIDEO ⚾️ 👍 ⚾️ 👍 ⚾️ 👍 By the way I was impressed on how straight your laces were.
I understand that you used ball players balm in the first step with the toothbrush, then just wiped off the excess it looks like. What was the cream you applied with your finger at the end?
@@DurhamGloveRepair awesome, thank you! I checked out the ball players balm site and they have a few products now to clean and condition so I’m going to go with them. Your video was extremely helpful and thanks again for getting back to me so quickly!! You do great work!!
love these videos. I have my dad's glove that I'm giving some tlc to. Quick question: what do you do with gloves that have gotten a bit floppy over time? Is there a product you use to stiffen up the fingers a bit?
The glove gets floppy because the leather and materials inside the glove have broken down over time. There are temporary fixes like relacing or adding new padding, but no magic product to bring back the feeling of a new glove.
@@DurhamGloveRepair just warm water because the glove was coming off kind of like dandruff it would be all over my shirt...So I got a warm wash cloth and it looks like I wiped all the color & words off

Todo un profesional en la restauración de los guantes felicitaciones
Excellent camera work.

It is a conditioner. You can’t get that specific one anymore, but ball players balm conditioner is a great product.

What is he using
I'm trying to find out history on Westpoint gloves and can't find anything... Any help is appreciated!?
Im not sure, sorry.
En donde los reparan por favor
Looks great. But I wish you’d dyed your replacement straps to match the color of the old glove’s leather.
These are the closest laces I could get to match. Wouldn’t want to dye new laces.
Que es lo que le echam para limpiarlo y para que la piel se enduresca
Ball players balm cleaner.
Nice work!
Also… what is the name of the song??? Or the artist??
Any tips for a cracked leather pocket on inside of glove?
Just clean and condition to try and bring the leather back. But once it has started cracking, not much you can do unfortunately.
Will relacing a glove give it a new shape?
A proper relace will bring back the gloves previous form.
What is the first white substance you put on with the tooth brush?
Ball players balm cleaner.

Your videos are great! What oil did you put on with your finger?
I use ball player balm conditioner. Please don’t put oil on your glove.
Change more often the rag you use to wipe off the cleaning soap.
They are cleaned after every use. Just years of stains on them.
Que es lo que le pasa al guante
What compound are you using with the toothbrush for the exterior shell?
It is a cleaner from 2bwax. But they have not been active for months. Do not buy anything from the site.
@@DurhamGloveRepair what would recommend as an alternative?
Ball Player Balm. Will be what I use when my 2b wax supply runs out.
When I rubbed my glove to clean it all the words came off & it seems like the color is gone
Not sure why that would be. What did you use to clean it?
@@DurhamGloveRepair just warm water because the glove was coming off kind of like dandruff it would be all over my shirt...So I got a warm wash cloth and it looks like I wiped all the color & words off
there isnt much you can do unfortunately. Next time id recommend using a proper cleaner like ball players balm.
Seriously!!! Why fast forward
