And how do you get rid of the autofocus noise?
I have been looking for a backup camera for my 5D MK4. So I decided to have a faster camera (shutter) and I have read about the 1D MK2. The 1D would never have been a camera I would have been looking for, mainly because of the price. But I have found really good second hand cameras which have an attractive price. Looks like my 5D is now going to be the backup camera.

Thank you for putting this together, had the camera for a few weeks and loving it but, your video has really assisted. I am a wildlife photographer and some of the setting will be different to those for studio work but it gives a great around "how to use" the tech, buttons and setting this piece of kit has to offer. The 1dx mii should be your workhorse it is a far better camera than the 5dmiv

Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful. One thing I can’t seem to figure out is how to display the histogram in video mode. I see where you cycle through the info button till it pops up but mine isn’t there. What am I missing?

Great overview how can I send sports photos from this cam to a client but I’m not at the olympics so no WiFi no Ethernet etc just 1dxii my MacBook and an external ssd the wtf ea8 ? Whatever it’s called? Or use a cable from my Ethernet in cam to laptop but my laptop doesn’t have a Ethernet port have to get a dongle
I tried to find out from various videos on TH-cam discussing the 1DX MKII. Looking to find out the focus performance at night, because my current job is sports photography which is mostly done at night with little light outdoors, does the 1dx mkii have good focus performance in low light?
Great Video - watched trying to sort out why my Canon 1D X MKII (just over 2 years old) was serviced by Canon as it started to eat up battery life - even on a brand new battery purchased last November 2021 Canon bought battery. All this started significantly on return from the service in January 2022 - sent it back and Canon after inserting a 100% charge new battery and leaving it on but not shooting anything - 12 hours later battery down to 9%.Canon are now saying it must be battery but have referred to user setting "Sleep Mode" which I cannot find?
Hey Graham, you're welcome. I'm not sure on the sleep mode to be honest, it might be worth taking it back to the service centre to see what they've done as I don't have experience on that. Good luck!
Most likely have GPS mode set to mode 2 with the gps on even with the camera off leading to battery drain with the camera off
Why can't you change metering modes in M? I can with my 6D. It's locked out. I found in the menu you can lock out the modes, but none of them are and I can select in other modes. Surely in M if you are using auto ISO you want to be able to choose metering??
Any video on how to replace the focus screen??

Are you able to switch the video viewing when your taking video from the screen to the view finder to see what your videoing through the viewfinder and not the screen ?
No, because the mirror would have to drop, thus blocking the sensor again.
Just got this camera and it's the most difficult to navigate camera ever. The 6D is so much easier to use. I can't even figure out how to change metering modes on this thing. And having the movie high frame rate as a separate selection in a menu to unlock 120fps is just stupid. Especially as it locks you out of then selecting the other speeds on the fly.
I have the 1dxii ....would you reckon the r6 is a worthy upgrade ? I’m into sport photo ....thx mate

@@policeluber6720 Durability wise i chose 1dx than r6, i shoot rain or shine. And i dont trust r6 in that matter. Otherwise it is good camera.
@@YourHobbyDad I have the original 7d And 1dx II both are built fine .....The 1dxii is overbuilt so much so That canon said They couldn’t do Internal wi fi or Bluetooth becaise OF The bullet Proof 1dx metal bs argument .

@@policeluber6720 Yeah, i dont really use the wifi function and i dont plan on getting that stupid thing. Otherwise for sports? 1dx is still the way to go.

Hi Ektoral sorry to hear that, it's done via TH-cam copyright it finds copied content with a 100% match which are then removed
