Had the throttle issue with a G37.. It was one of the MAF sensors sending an invalid reading to the ECU.. Apparently the MAFs have to be calibrated at a dealer.
Infiniti tech here as well, it does sound like it’s going into limp mode. If no check engine light is on for maf codes or idle codes might have to perform idle air relearn and closed throttle position re learn. I’m not sure if an after market scanner can do those functions so might have to have a dealer do it or someone with access to consult III
Check your maf sensor, maf wiring and all the grounds. Wiggle the wires while testing them. Nissans will go into limp mode if the signal is too noisy and won't rev.

The car may be going into limp mode. The MAF's need to be cleaned every 50k miles or so. If you scan and see p010b it's the MAF. I have a 2015 Z, I clean the MAF's and TB's out every year. No gallery gasket issues, but I have lost a slave and swapped to Z1's CSC delete.

When the 370 came out i remember there being a lot of issues with the trans temps putting the car into limp mode. It was extremely easy to trigger it, like a burn out or lively driving would do it.
The limp mode issue on the z might be a VVEL issue it happened with my car. It kept telling me crank sensors needed to be replaced but it ended up being the VVEL module. I had to take it to the dealership and it took them 3 months to figure out the issue. They changed the VVEL Module, the wire to from the computer to the VVEL Module and then it still messed up so then they changed the computer that was controlling the VVEL.
yea if its a z before 2013 with the paper gaskets it might get sketch over 150k miles if rudniks is legit 130k he should be alright but who knows, great vid tho tom keep it up
Yup, there's folks w 300-400k running the stock paper gaskets. The issue definitely happens, but it's not a sure thing that it will. Of course adding FI via turbo or SC setup will certainly introduce some additional likelihood. 83k on my '12 6mt IPL coupe. Bought it in 2015.
While Z1 might be closer to us, I've bought 90% of my stuff from CZP with good results from them all around. I was going to get their Akebono upgrade kit for my G but other things took precedence, and to be fair it's not like I really need them I just want the bling. It's pretty dope, they even offer your choice of powder coat and/or Nissan/Infiniti logo instead of Akebono.
I know you like super clean set ups. So talk to Tj about his hydro set up. Forsberg hooked him up with a wild setup for his 370. It’s probably the cleanest hydro I’ve seen in any car. Either way, love how the car is coming along. I love how extra you are with all your cars. Looks so damn good!!

Limp mode you have to change the fuel pump top hat to the aluminum CJM top hat or get the baffle kit from Z1 because the 370z gets fuel starvation when you do hard right turns or drift
i think ur z might be in limp mode it’s a pretty common issue im not sure why it happens tho i got a pair of used z rims as some drift spares for my z and i think i put them on pretty “jankly” and when i was driving the slip light would flash a ton and cut my throttle. i just drive without traction control and it fixed the issue once it stops snowing ima re put them on nicer

Had a guy pull out right in front of me in 65 mph zone back in November…I feel pretty comfortable saying seatbelts allowed our family of six to walk away from it.
Tommy I have a 2009 370z drift car as well and I think another problem is because you aren’t tuned, stock z’s can’t take brake input and throttle input at the same time so left foot braking or pull hydro it cuts your throttle, that’s why you can’t do a burnout, you need to get tuned on uprev or exutek then you can burnout left foot brake all that ! Hope it helps
Setrab Power steering cooler is good installed one after my 1st 2 drift events fluid was getting hot 🥵 it started to bubble in the reservoir haven’t had a problem after Setrab cooler
Throttle relay, my buddy had the exact same issue and it ended being the throttle relay. We tried a new throttle body, new maf, new pigtails, vacuum lines, all of it

Remove the yaw sensor , when your Z/G gets sideways the yaw sensor cuts the throttle people delete it to drift
