Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. During and after his formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra and other forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. Had strange experiences in Benares when I was there. I was frustrated with the pandas running after money and was in a different mood visiting temples and having darshans. Injured my leg in hotel, was swept away in the Ganges current but could survive holding on to a small pillar at the last moment, my camera was destroyed…. Intense experiences that I have had as Swoboda sir mentioned aptly and may be because of the right karmas that I did I could survive from being drowned on that day …. Om Namah Shivay !

But I was impatient to touch maa ganga but not realised the steps were slippery with moss😢 and a priest quickly helped me n got me out of the river😮

@@adurighosh96 I definitely want to. I've been trying to look at plane prices. It's hard with my family and my schedule, but I've put it in G-ds hands. Hopefully one day in this lifetime I will go there. Sanatan Dharma has changed my life. The Vedic culture and teachings have filled my life with such joy. Not to mention the Aghora books and teachings of Vimalananda. I feel this closeness to him and have a strong love for him. It's a shame there's so many frauds. Luckily Vimalananda has talked about ways to know if they are frauds or not. My sweet mother and father will guide me. I am currently in a rehabilitation centre after a month in Hospital and am learning to walk again... I went to Dev Diwali in Kashi and the next day was in pain the following day, woke up lame and barely able to spell my name. I was flown back to Australia and accompanied by a friend but the Dr's are still confused as to what on earth happened. Ive had many mri's ruling out stroke, MS, so they assume a virus which caused my immune system to attack itself, what virus, they don't know. I think I ran into Kala Bhairava and am calling in all light to step forwards and regain my mobility.
I feel I am lucky to be alive.

If you read the first Aghora book Vimalananda covers a lot on devi. Especially Tara and Kali. He says to study the different forms of Ma and get to know her. From what I can gather there's different forms of Ma for different reasons for the devotee. Kali and Tara help you really fast, but they will rearrange your life in the way they see fit. They care about their son's and if you call on them they will respond, but you better be ready for intense feelings and vibrations. Durga Ma is the epitome of all the male devatas and female devatas. She goes by different names in different areas. The different facets help different people at different times. If you haven't read the Aghora books, I highly recommend them.
@@joker-mo8cb I've skimmed through the pages but what have always intrigued me is why Durga Maa, even though being as fierced as Kali and Smashan Tara Maa and also revered by some aspects of Shakta Tantrism, isn't widely regarded as a Tantrik Deity even though large festivals like Navratri are dedicated to Her Form
@@helenmadamrose306 I personally feel like they view Durga Ma as the universal Mother for everyone. I've heard tantriks say that if you're not a tantrik practitioner it's harder to connect to the fiercer forms especially Kali and Tara. Even though they do have less fierce forms and anyone can on some level connect to them. They say Durga is the mother that is the fiercer side of Ma for everyone not just tantriks. So I think Durga is just viewed more as for everyone on any path not just exclusively for tantrik practitioners. This reply is based on my own opinion as well as different things I've read or gathered. Are you a practitioner of tantra?

@@helenmadamrose306 Same here. I hope to one day maybe explore more in India and maybe find a mentor who is alive or hopefully I can find someone around me in America. Either way I'm gonna do what I can on my own path. I have always been fascinated with the left hand path. Really all paths, but the left is very interesting. I in some ways hate labels and religious categories, but it helps to categorize things and explain them. I have been more and more attracted to Ma as of late. I have been finding a love that is very beautiful. Life is such an interesting journey and I thank God everyday I have found the path I'm on. Not everyone understands it, but I don't care. At the end of the day you have to do what makes since to you and makes you happy.

I was bitten by a dog when i went to Varanasi just before I'm going to darshan, what does it mean? The bite wasn't deep but it bled a little. I didn't see the linga in that darshan, i went in the evening i had the darshan but i dunno Varanasi gave me a wild experience. Help me understand this.
Something in your karma which had to be dealt with an axe was balanced and reduced down to a nail scratch. Believe me, karma works in mysterious ways when dieties are on your side. Not an expert but very certain about this. Not being able to get the darshan means there was something more important you had to at that point in your life.
