  • Synopsis: Filmmakers Brendan Madden and Dave Kellogg, living in Beijing, meet longtime friend and mountain climber Paco Monedero from Spain to climb Mt. McKinley in Alaska. The three individuals find it difficult to overcome their own shortcomings and come together as a team as they face one of the largest mountains in the world. Along the way they meet three interconnected characters that parallel their own journey to the summit: Vern Tejas (one of the foremost mountain climbers in the world) Marty Raney (Vern's longtime friend and one of the great guides of McKinley; he is now a star on Nat Geo's Ultimate Survivor Alaska) and Brian Young. This is a simple story that serves as both a celebration of, and sober reflection upon, America's great massif.

Interesting and entertaining film guys. There are many places to see and experience in North America. I have hitchhiked most of the western states, in my youth, and found many beautiful places worth seeing.

pretty well done lads, your half decent mountaineers after all,the scene where they reach camp 5 and can barely get their tents up is a poignant reminder of the mountain's indifference to their quest, lose focus and or ignore timetables and in an instant you are in the'' danger zone'',sing it kenny loggins,Cheers!

Great film! Great work! I truly enjoyed watching this. Awesome perspective from the days before the climb in town through to summit. Pablo was awesome comedic relief. I will definitely use this as a reference for when myself and climbing buddies head there.
