It took you guys long enough. I have been salivating over an 84FS for years. When I could find the few imported here, they were grossly overpriced. This will definitely do and it's made in Italy as a bonus. Thank you for finally releasing a modernised version. As soon as they hit my local FFL, I'll be the first in line to scoop up that beautiful Launch Edition.
@@gtrfreak if it has optic capabilities, a rail and that sweet eXtreme-S trigger, in addition to being a future collectable, I'm okay with that price. If it's some run of the mill, unfired 84FS, the most I would pay is 700. Unfortunately, people price gouge and an unfired 84FS will run you 900-1000. Inox ones go for way above that. Ones that have been fired wind up being nearly the same price. A worn one will be around 550. At that point I'll spend 150 extra and get the black 80X and call it a day.
While we're in the spirit of bringing back discontinued models, let's see that updated 90-two with a frame mounted safety! Still the sexiest slide of all 92s in my opinion. The only one to have genuine CURVES!! If it could be in 9mm this time around that'd be great.
Can't wait to have one ! That was litteraly my dream gun (84 updated) before it's release. Great move Beretta ! I want it black with a wooden grip, little light, micro red dot. But I will have to save some cash living in France where guns are at least twice the US price.
This is easily one of the most beautiful modern pistols yet to be created. I truly hope you are considering something like the 80 series as a platform for the launch of a DA/SA 9mm microcompact pistol.
9mm micros will never break that crucial 1250 fps, aka where 9mm actually becomes a formidable round. Barrel is too short for quality 9mm ballistics. So just stick with .380 and you will land second shot much easier.
Been packing an 84 cheetah for years on end, it's a great gun, I also own a Turkish clone the Fatih, it has stronger springs and shoots tighter groups but it's just not as sexy.
I know I've waiting a long time for Beretta to come out with a gun that looks like it has "BOX CHEETAH" written on the grips like it's Springfield Armory telling me where the "GRIP ZONE" is.
Launch Edition is impossible to find unless you want to pay 2x MSRP to one of the opportunists that purchased them all and resell on GB. Please release more Launch Editions!!!
I try to get people to understand the limitations of 9mm ammo from short barrels. 9mm took off when ammo tech made full sized 9mms deadly, but they will never hit hard from under 5 inch barrel. So I pick the .380 simply because it is easy to hit the second shot.
i think i like 380 auto in a self defence gun is cause how fast i can dump all my rounds one handed. I think when it comes to it, rapid fire is the best practice. Rapid fire into take cover and reload and hope they run away or fall over.
@@macriggland6526 True but the bullet tech is better now for short barrels than it used to be. Folks don't seem to get it that for 9mm a five inch barrel full size is minus the one inch chamber so you really have a four inch bore. Four inch barrel compact is a three inch bore. Three inch barrel sub compact or micro compact is a two inch bore. Yes you lose muzzle velocity and muzzle energy the shorter the bore. A 9mm with a three inch barrel is still pushing a little over 1000 fps and with +P even more from the two inch bore. That is more than a .38Spl. running in the 800 fps to +P 900 fps range.
No micro compact 9mm reaches a ballistic threshold that can objectively be considered impressive. Need more barrel for 9mm to really shine. You’re going to need to land 2 hits, so just pick the one that is easier to shoot, the .380.
BERETTA: Please sell a small, plastic, 3D printed, two piece shroud that can cover the lower attachment rail to give the cheetah a smoother draw, and a classic sleek aesthetic. Offer them with a left and right piece, a two part screw to connect them on the rail, and give options for some of them to have custom designs like saying “Beretta”, or “Cheetah”, or anything. For 6-7 bucks i think EVERY cheetah owner who avoids attachments would buy one to give their cheetah that classic appearance.
I think this would’ve made way more sense if it was in 9mm instead of .380. Considering the size of most other compact 9mms nowadays, I don’t see why that couldn’t have been accomplished.
9mm ballistics from short barrels are very underwhelming. Need a full sized gun for 9mm to really shine. With this understood and accepted (I’m sorry if you have a sunk cost in tiny 9mms) the .380 becomes the obvious choice for smaller guns. Very easy to shoot, and very quick with the direct blowback.
Why .380 ACP for this gun? You only get 13 rounds in the mag, and the gun isn't even small enough to really justify that. There are smaller 9mm handguns out there, like the Sig P365 X Macro, which have more rounds. It seems the only advantage .380 ACP offer is less recoil. But is it really significantly less than 9mm? This existence of this gun doesn't make good sense.
Hey Beretta, nothing related to this firearm but on your 92X model pistols, why don't you want update the locking block? Like the current 3rd gen model locking block will last thousands and thousands of rounds but soon brakes why not just make a fourth gen model locking block and make everything be feared and thicker which makes it more durable. I have a lot of Berettas and the Achilles heel seems to be the locking block each time. If you are could get back with me that would be greatly appreciated because I just want to know why not have thicker better locking block mechanisms.
So I don't know much about guns but I know at least 9mm is like the most popular round for handguns, right? Then what the heck is .380? When I searched for it, apparently James Bond's PPK was chambered for .380ACP. But then it wasn't all that popular for a while but now it's making a comeback? So is it more of a 'recreational' ammunition or can it be used in say... defensive role? Can it do what 9mm does?
Carried at 84FS for over 20yrs, this might be my year to change 😁
So jealous. I love the 84FS. I've always dreamed of an Italian 92FS and an 84FS in a display box. Of course I would have another one for shooting.
This video could've been 10 seconds, showing the frame mounted safety and I'd still be sold.
This looks fantastic! Y’all should make a classic version. The beretta lines and curves are a work of art!
Beretta finally made something I like.

Sadly enough they’re only making 100 versions
go for it man
Sadly these will also be grossly over priced lol, heard $900

Thinking about a .32ACP model as well? I swear the round's not as forgotten as you may think, it just needs new guns.
Brilliant!! I love my 84BB; the new 80X looks worthy to carry the Cheetah name into the future.
I clicked on the video thinking “I don’t want another .380”. After watching now I know I need one. Love to see the new stuff that’s optic ready.

Getting one the moment they are available with a threaded barrel. A it looks cool B 380 needs that bit longer barrel and C would suppress really well.

Looking forward to owning this!
Need all steel finish version.. please make it happen beretta!
Can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Love 380 and Beretta’s just look so great.
Auguri, Beretta! Bellissimo!
Anxious to see this one in the flesh
A Cheetah looking like a small 92 , but could have made a 15 round magazine than, we already have a Cheetah in 380acp with 13 rounds , the 84.
So gorgeous. I bet Beretta will release some other color variations if this sells out in the first year. A sniper grey with black would be tight 🤩

No, keep it as a 380. We need to popularize that round again.
Just as soon see the PX4 updated

Way to go!
Can you let us know when these will be available to purchase?
I have an old 84, and it's an awesome pistol.
Get this thing in California 😮
Would really be an awesome gun if it came in 9 mm
Make a smooth frame (no picatinny) similar to the 92X Defensive (which I own and waited for) and I'll buy one. Waiting....

@beretta what date will this be available to the civilian market?
@BERETTA any possibility of release in 38 super ?
I like everything about this except the caliber unfortunately

The Tony Montana "Scarface" gun. Well actually that was a Beretta model 81, but this is close enough.

I'll bet not any can state what the barrel properties are on the 'black' version? We know the Bronze version is inox (stainless).
Does the 80X wear a target crown?
I really do not know who gave a thumb up for the 80X "Does not have a crowned muzzle".
Can we get an 92XI Centurion?
yeah, in our dreams...💯😁

Is there ever going to be a threaded barrel?
When is this going to be available in Germany?
