- Foothill High School Symphonic Band performs AYO by Katahj Copley for Winter Concert 2024. Katahj Copley is a young composer and received his Masters in Music Composition from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2023. He has composed over 100 pieces of music. He believes music is freedom and imagination. According to the notes that accompanied this piece, the word "AYO" is more than just a greeting in the black language. It's used with those closed to you and can be used to express when things are great or if something is wrong. The composer hopes the listener to celebrate the word AYO and life with this piece. AYO premiered December 2022.
