It's a bureaucratic nightmare companies don't want, pretty soon they will issue dictats that they may only be used inside premises.

If you did you would realise that banks have policies and procedures in place to protect the staff and customers as do most places. This lady was most likely following procedure as you state “nothing super special about banks” again with any common sense you’d know they hold a lot of money. They’re a lot of things that probably exceed your tiny mind that would be classed as a security risk and need to be acted upon for the staff and customers using the branch.
Maybe you should try to be a less narrow minded tool in future.

Photos....always a sensitive topic and he knows it. Many years ago in the eighties my 5ft tall mum snapped a photo of what was called a punk head in Leicester Square. The arsehole leapt straight up and demanded £2 from my mum, right in her face, adamant she should pay. She had three kids with her, we lost him in the end without paying. Mum couldn't even afford to get the film developed !
