See if it has a scan code for a quick start guide! I waited until the last minute to use mine before a snowstorm. It had scan code for quick start. Make sure it’s not inside an enclosed space and a couple of feet from the house. Mine is push button. Had it 2 years brand new and it started first time I pushed the button. Make sure you have extra gas because you don’t know how much gas you will use depending on the load it’s pulling. I got 8 hours out of mine before the power slowed down. My husband wasn’t home when I needed it so a girl had to do what she could 😂😂. Check your oil too. I only plugged up heaters just to be comfortable until my husband got home. We had a 3,500 watt portable jackery indoors for phones tablets Tv and air fryer. Good luck and be safe!
I went to Houston a couple times 20 years ago. Yeesh. It was so humid and all the ground was mud, don't ask about the mosquitoes. Never going there again.
I looked at some of the models and it could always shift west but west Houston / Katy will see most impacts look out for warnings and watches about 10 pm tonight
I mean we've had worse winds than that on severe storm fronts. Hopefully it doesn't strengthen any more and the rains stay lighter. We absorbed 12" in 24 hrs in an area of the northeast earlier this year.
Yes, but were they SUSTAINED winds or were they GUSTS? Big difference. Typical storms do not produce high sustained winds. Sustained winds do MUCH MUCH more damage. For obvious reasons.
@@takecareofyourshoess One storm on Cape Cod 20 years ago my husband and I watched the kitchen slider bow in and out all night wondering if it would hold. Went out and bought an Andersen slider the next day. That storm was 70 mph w gusts higher. Just a particularly strong N'or Easter. A little further north we used to go down to the sea wall during those storms when the high surf slammed against the sea wall and sent the spray everywhere. One year during a winter N'or Easter the surf was hitting that wall so hard that along with high winds, a stone house 4 lanes of road across from the beach was all iced over. Surreal. Just intense N'or Easters. Not hurricanes. Sometimes they washed the beach roads out. That same storm they made a movie called The Perfect Storm, the same night those Glocester fishermen went missing, all our seaside streets were flooding and people couldn't get home during rush hour. We had delivery guys down there we were really concerned about. Then the horrible wait for those Glocester fishermen that never came home. In other locations in other such storms hitting at high tide w full moon, homes fell into the sea or were severely flooded. All from just strong N'or Easters.
Not knowing where you are, I can only comment on my opinion (which may be worthlessness lol😂) but I think everyone will fair pretty well from this storm. Hurricane tracks can't be predicted 100%. That's why they show the "cone" and the possible landfall areas. It could still go further east or west... they are showing you what it is doing, what it has done and a possible track. I've never hear even 1 meteorologist tell anyone.the EXACT 100% location of landfall!!!it's still 36 hours away.

It was hilarious. A local news channel in Brownsville was interviewing a winter Texan at SPI because the causeway will close if winds reach faster than 45 mph. And she ended the interview saying “We’re praying it stays a Category 1, don’t believe what the weather people are telling you.” …as it went back to the weatherman 😂

Don't run it indoors
Make sure you get ethanol free fuel and the proper oil
Don't put it indoor or your garage. You will die. It's crazy that people die like that every year

Time to panic and buy up everything that I won't use when Beryl makes landfall here in Htown 🤷♂️
Don't be helpless
Just left the store, people have baskets full of water, could barely push the cart.
