What a great video. Max is a legend of the sport here in Australia. He is one 9f the best Aussie speedway drivers ever and it is awesome to see his sons marcus and matt to continue of his legacy and the famous valvoline sponsor.

Racing my little die cast sprint cars around my sandbox when I was a kid, Max was always up front.
Only actually met him for the first time this year when the family came to WA for the Aus Title (some 25+ years later).
Thanks for showing Australian sprint car racing some love.

Ive seen all of his krikke boys titles, remember one year he put the car on its side doing donuts on the infield, also broke his arm falling off the back of the transporter one year, had to emergency fly over his eldest son mitch to race in his car for him, he was always happy to be around the fans after the meetings

it’s so sad that the krikke shootout isn’t a race anymore was always an awesome race to go to and brought people into bunbury especially with the krikkes being really close family friends
