My Dad took me to the 5/8 mile dirt track so many times. The modifieds were always great and the street stocks were cool. But when the sprint cars drove onto the track. The crowd was noticeably energized. They are so fast and powerful. It's very common to see them smoke the rear tires on dirt at over a hundred miles per hour. Absolutely the fastest cars on dirt that I have ever witnessed.

i have a video saved of an entire compilation of crashes from my local track in Delmar Delaware. theres some pretty wild crashes in there. very first wreck on the video is a sprint car flipping almost the entire length of the front stretch and you can see the fuel cell fly into the stands. As they show him getting out you can see my dads (one of the saftey crew members at the time) bald head on the other side of the catch fence looking for the fuel cell
