Hi there, Adriana here from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! I learned English in the 70´s at the English Culture School in Rio and your accent just brings me back to the days I was as young as 11 years old! So cool! I am going to stick to this channel I see! I just took a look to the incredible repertoire of books read! Oh wow!!!! Thanksssss a lot!

Excellent reading of another lesser known Conan Doyle short story. Lively, entertaining insight into Roman households and death-mission Christian God-botherers.

It's a rather dark, dreary, wet Friday evening in my little town tonight.
    Perfect for some "Greg timbre".

The best narrator I know reading the iconic works of Conan Doyle.
The Lost World would be a titanic feat to accomplish.. maybe one day please Sir?
It's just a thought, perhaps serialized a chapter or two at a time? 🤞😏

He's done it in his podcast! It's a rambly one with his musings about various off topic things, so not sure if you're into that. But was a great narration!
My only complaint was he got side tracked on some random topic just as the t-rex was chasing our hero through the jungle 🤣🦖
      Talk about suspense!

Every corner was scoured by Conan-Doyle to answer the question: about what period shall I write? I want a period that will reinforce the stranger-fearing mood of pre-WWI England. Lemme see... Maybe the rule of the Mormons in early Utah would do.... [Excellent reading, regardless].

Yes, thank you Greg. By the way Greg, is there any chance you could narrate any better? Oh… no there’s not, is there. Well in that case just carry on as you were. With perfection!

Great short story. I am wondering, did early Christians really Vandalize Roman shrines? If so, no wonder they got fed to lions. What a Plebeian thing to do.
