    Great video again. Only I found out that for rear-left door you need to use pin 2 for ground instead of pin 5. Thanks @mr-fix

    Which connections are these. I am looking for a connector (molex type) that would prevent me having to cut into OEM wires. Please help.

    Thank you - very useful. Solving similar problems in my VW Touran (2017). Just a question - what do you think? Will it be possible to retrofit rear door control modules? I found these modules on allegro (including complete wiring from doors). But not sure about coding, how to tell a car, that there are both front and rear door control units.

      It is closing the circuit through the BCM on the original wire going to PIN 5 (Right Door)/PIN2(Left Door)....it will drain your battery. You need to isolate your light from the BCM using a relay. I would post a diagram but this is only a text box.

    Hi , Followed your instructions and yes the ambient light was success. But for door light I’m not sure that the connection is 100% off when door is closed and to confirm it if I check it multimeter it still reads 10volts after door is shut ? Can you explain if that will drain the battery? Thanks

      Hi mate, did you manage to solve this problem as I have followed the instructions above, but have the same concerns over current drain.

    In this way the lights will come on when the door is just unlocked but not when it opens. Right?

    • @Maxton986
      @Maxton986 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the lights will be ON when u open the door if u are connected wires same as video showing. But u must also coding it after all, door exit lights must be ACTIVATED. It's simple with OBDELEVEN.

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s no coding for rear doors because there’s no rear door modules in MK7.

      @@mrfixpl Agree 👍 :) I thought on driver's and passengers doors :) Those two back will be active .

    • @StefanAlfisti
      @StefanAlfisti 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maxton986 the rear lights will be ON when you unlock the car but without necessarily opening the doors. That's OK. It's the best that can be done since a lot of MQB cars do not have rear door control modules. I am waiting for a set of warning/puddle lights to install on a Leon MK3 and I will probably connect them the same way as in the video.
      I have also installed red led diodes on every door pocket and I have also used power and ground from the window switch as mr-fix suggests.

    hello, anyone facing the same problem? Tried this today but never get the light on, it always burns only slightly. What is also weird I do get 12V when the door is open and 9V when it is closed, when I put the amperometer between it I measure 0A. Someone who can help me please?

    hello, I also did the exact same job on cupra formentor ( th-cam.com/video/cO5Eh5UfURs/w-d-xo.html ) ( th-cam.com/video/HYctMQpEBbo/w-d-xo.html ); I have to disassemble the doors again to do another job; I want to install the LED lights on the outside handles and I would like to avoid connecting them to the lights under the mirrors otherwise I would have to pass the cables from the front doors to the rear ones. In your opinion, could I intercept the signal directly at the socket you are talking about for the work of the lights under the door? I think I should find the cable that is the signal for switching on the interior lights when the car is opened from the remote control and also when the doors are opened, what do you say?
