Eh, more like infernals Macro was far easier to optimize than Vanguard so it took longer for Vanguard macro to get really figured out. Plus Infernals were a bit too strong in Elephant - although I don't really think that balance is something FG is keeping at front of mind until EA, given the focus on actively testing mechanics and ideas
People carrying their hate for Terran in SC2 over to stormgate now huh? 😂 The top of the ladder is like 80% celestial, 15% infernal and 5% (or less) Vanguard 😂 how are crybabies already calling Vanguard over tuned
@@IsaacFNghost This video was released over a month ago, on a very different version of the game when Vanguard was the best faction! Now Celestials are very much overtuned, but there's a patch coming this week that should bring things into line I hope
Yeah seems the top bar ability for veteran has dominated this patch. But it seems so fun and cool, maybe they should just make tier 2 take significantly longer?
I think it just gives too much - I saw a suggestion in the discord as having it increase the base level by 1, so you cast it on a unit and it's default level 1 and starting at 0 xp from there - so interacting with the map levels you up faster. I'd be down for that - the same idea but not as much oppression. It probably also comes down to how slow the economy scales, as an infernal player can't really punish a vanguard player rushing to central command, for example.
Feels like it just defeats the purpose of veterancy as a mechanic. They wanted to give incentive for players to actually fight each other instead of turtling, levelling up with energy ignores that
Yeah maybe an air effect that increase the rate the units get xp. But whatever, I really do have great faith in the designers here. They have impressed me time and time again
@@skterran I think it s important they're trying interesting things in these playtests. All of them won't work, but they're getting the most possible feedback to guide their design (but there never was a happier day than when they removed jagged maw from the pool!)
While I've really enjoyed playing the betas, untill today watching matches always felt underwhelming. Your casting however made it very enjoyable. I'm not sure if it is that you got the casting pace right or what but keep up the goodwork.followed

Id love nothing more then to see Blizzard die and another game compete with Starcraft, But this just isnt it unfortunately, even just for spectators it looks and feels awful to watch.
I thought the same when I watched my frist match but having watched about 30 more and seeing the new units and the first batch of fully polished assets I think the final result will be pretty damn good.

As if they've kept the dropping Siege tanks in siege mode. Theres a reason that got taken out of SC2 lol. The micro potential is huge.
