The word "woke" means: infantile and immature, ignorant and arrogant, regressive and emotional, and without common sense or reason. In short, to call anything "woke" is to call it a spoiled-brat child, of whatever age they may be. I know of children many times more mature than many adults these days, simply for having knowledge of simple things. Things like, it is wrong to use surgery to remove perfectly healthy body parts from a perfectly healthy child, or to use chemicals to stop the natural function of childs body. And, because your false deity is humanity, your creed and religion are selfishness, your leaders are those who play at being victims, and everyone is their own "god", you cannot understand objective truth. To pursue "honesty" as an ideal makes no sense to a person like you because, you are forced to ask, "by who's definition of truth"? This means you are devoid of any knowledge of the natural world, facts, real knowledge, or truth. So, at once you see yourself as very wise and loving while drowning in an ocean of hate and rejection of even the simplest of truths. Why? Becuse to grant that there is any "objective truth" at all would mean, you don't get to have all the power, all control, and to do exactly what you want, how you want, when you want, as you see fit. You owe nothing to any higher ideals or principals. There is no expectation of you more than what you, personally, want and desire. There is no governing limits upon you save those you judge to be acceptable. Again, you are your own "god". But that isn't even close to the truth, is it? I will tell you the truth: we humans are nothing. We have always been nothing. I am nothing. You are nothing. My wisdom and knowledge are nothing. Your wisdom and knowledge are nothing. All human wisdom and knowledge is nothing. And, it always will be, forever. You aren't some hero for defending "strong female characters" or for saying, "gaming is for everyone". You have done nothing. I am not some big man for outlining how shallow and petty you are. My thoughts and ideas are just as much "nothing" as yours are. But, there is a singular truth and there are ideas with merrit beyond both of us. The difference between us, you and me, the un-woke and the woke, is simple: we know THE truth, by the natural world and by learning, and you don't. It isn't me that elivates me. It is something above me that reaches down and lifts me up. The entire woke community looks to other humans, other nothing-beings, for approval. We look to a being of perfection, one to whom we can never reach, never live-up to, superior in every regard and who defines the very words "love", "faith", and "hope" by His very existance, while we wallow in the mud of our own filth, always reaching but, never achieving. So, the difference is simple. We know enough that we reach above ourselves to THE truth, alive, and pure, and clean, and difficult, and you don't. As human value goes, we are equally worthless and of no value. As to how we each see our world, we strive to see reality as it was created to be; you strive to force the world to see things as you want others to see them. And, since we are both equal and worthless, why should we listen to another worthless child when, we reject listening to our very own selves? Since I doubt very much that you can even hear me or even grasp the height of my question, I will try again: I ask you, from one worthless being to another, from one being who has sinned against goodness itself to another, why should we subscribe to the lie of humanity when we reject our own selves, mind, body, and spirit and serve something above us? Why should we listen to you when we already listen to what is so far above all humaity that it would be the height of stupidity to do so? Would you do that? Put another way and, hypothetically speaking, if the being who created the universe came to you and said, "hear me and do what I tell you, to live life, as it is best to live and, as I meant for all humanity to find its best self" would you listen to me? I wouldn't. Yet, all you have is yourself and however important you believe yourself to be. Well, let me spell this out for you loud and clear, nobody cares about you, on our side of things in this world because, we don't care about ourselves either. We seek only to serve the Truth and it is the living Truth alone who invests humanity with value beyond itself. Not because it becomes valuable in and of itself but, rather because it denies itself and lets greater truth flow from the truth out to others. The container, which is all that we truly are, remains as worthless as it always is. You, on the other hand, fill yourself with yourself. And that, Sir, is why we call ya'll insane because, it is the height and glory of a spoiled child to do something so selfish as to never look beyond the tip of ones own nose. Maturity seeks out the truth because it is not within us. We are worthy of doubt in every regard. The truth, Sir, is worthy of complete confidence, trust, and every hope. So, you will forgive us if we decline to hope in you, and place our hope, lowly as we are, in something very much greater THAN you. I can and do respect every voice to have their "say" save one. I will never respect the voice that selfishly says, "some voices must be silenced becuse I claim the right of a god to decide what voice is and is not worthy". That voice will never have my respect or my ear and I refuse to listen. No human being, nor any idea of humanity, will ever have any of my respect, for we are all equally unworthy to pass any such judgment, nor have we the right to force others to another human will. That would be the definition of slavery itself. I therefore reject that voice entirely. I bend my knee to God alone. Those who have chosen hell by making of themselves false gods, are liars, decieving themselves even as they seek to decieve others. For no sane reason will I listen to such a voice. Not ever.
But should. Cuz more patches they make, more bugs occur. It's absurd. The last time i played this game on patch 5 i faced so much bugs and my legs was shaking of fear not because of the game difficulty(it's easy - pathfinder wotr on normal is harder) but because of constant shutting down and thoughts about am i going to beat this mode or i'm goin die because of bugs?(Example: shar temple lever bug where the lever could fly without whole team and they die). And many more things i would type here but i won't cuz my english sucks
@@nobody-vp1ww Swen said it himself BG3 is a complex game with alot of moving parts! are there alot of bugs? yes, but they will eventually fix this game with the Definitive Edition !
@nobody-vp1ww Criticism is fine but it should be accurate. Bugs is a valid one but most of the reviews are not about that. Also they fixed the worst ones already.
Too true. I don’t think a lot of people realize how complex the code is for these HUGE modern games! They will never be perfect, but this is the most awesome game I’ve played in ages!
I made angelfire websites with html code as a kid and I couldn't get a freaking DBZ gif to work right...I don't know how people do it in a game like BG3.
I’m convinced that whoever defines a DnD based game as “woke” doesn’t know 💩 about DnD. The ability to create whatever the character you want is the core of the game and its mechanics, diversity and options are mandatory. Loving your videos! Would be fun to see a positive version of the reviews or maybe a top weird, top thirsty, top degenerate… 😂
I've got you covered! Made one a while back and honestly it was much more fun to make but I'm glad you enjoyed this one: th-cam.com/video/t4b6Z3DSnb0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YkIDPqpyPONOz-F-
@@hah-vj7hc i'm not sure if you can call it a relationship BUT Astarion and Cazador..not very happy don't you think? My opinion is that bc of woke agendas in modern entertaiment industry ppl tend to see it where it doesn't exist. And since strength (i assume you mean stat-wise) is connected to characters class it is not fair to bring it up here.
@@hah-vj7hc 'shadowheart is stronger than gale, wyll, and astarion! woke stuff!' >mfw wyll's a warlock and charisma-based, gale's a wizard and is intelligence based, and rogues are obviously fucking dexterity based they're not flavoured that way just for funsies, dude. the stats are to optimize the classes. that's how DnD works - and it wouldn't encourage people to swap between companion / party teammates often, if you were all moderately good at what you did. also, not all men are buff. especially wizards, assuming you know their whole stereotype. relationships not being great during a /literal time of crisis where the gods are attempting to overthrow cosmic balance/ is a given - but, as a quick question, /which/ gay relationships are you pointing to as an example? which examples of straight relationships are you pointing to? i'd probably counteract the 'oh the women and the men are hating eachother!' with bringing up benryn, from the rescue the trapped man side-quest in act 1; literally the /moment/ he is rescued, he will begin to run around and scream for his wife, whom he was seperated from in the fire. and, if you tell him you found her, he will become distraught and begin sobbing over her corpse. also... yeah, of course the dwarven woman dislikes her husband. he was abusing her. that's something that happens, y'know. also, "it's not representation, it's more of a revenge move that targets people who never had anything against lbgt.. people, people like me." ... why is this about you, again? you seem to be taking this weirdly personal. my final take on this? i'm pretty sure that if you walked into a game where all lgbtq+ relationships were portrayed as hurtful, but straight relationships were portrayed as the opposite? you wouldn't be coming out with this kind of energy about the game.
@@WobblesandBean fine if you guys wanna act naive like you don't see it remnants of "modern day" in this game, totally fine. But don't sit here and act like seeing a purple haired orge years ago wouldn't have bat an eye at the very slightest. I'm not saying I'm bothered by it (i like the game) but I'm not a fking child.
I had some visual bugs, and also some mechanics bugs, the most annoying is Shield Bash not working. Otherwise, some minor ones. But being annoyed about "how Larian treating their game", is probably coming from the new to Larian games, since that's how they treated their 2 previous titles, iterating and updating with iterations (patches and hotfixes in between). At this point, you can clearly see how there are mostly corner-cases that are fixed. And, outside of one particular character (Minthara), everything is smooth af. At least in my experience through 4 playthroughs (currently on 4th Honor Mode 450+ hours in) starting since full release. Ofc speaking for non-modded experience. Btw, the game, this size and variance, sadly, will never be 100% bug free, it is just impossible. Sad, but true, it is too big and varied for its own good already.
I figured shield bash was either broken or just absolutely terrible lol. My friend and I spent like 50 hrs of our playthrough without a shield bash working, then one day (after a patch) my wizard Tav managed to shield bash an enemy and we were more shocked then a nat 20
3:45 "better looking" - I tried to find an archetype of women they did not include, but the only one I found is the "woman as trophy": enamored to you, doing everything for you, and having no wishes of her own. In writing (excuses) there’s a test for that: if you can replace a woman in a story with a cat and the story does not change, then she’s just decoration.
Just... thank you. I know its a loud minority of people saying things like "too woke" and all that rot.... but they are loud. I see them everywhere, and it hurts every time. So thanks for taking a moment to call them out, and refute them so soundly
Well, it is a little. Not enough to kill it for me but enough to somewhat kill the immersion of being in a magical medieval world that is not like our own. For me at least.
Oh thank you! Its a good frog thats been floating around the internet, though I havnt been able to track down the original artist. Its always nice to find little corners of the internet and gaming in general that are more friendly toward all humans @@RedbeardflynnRollsAOne
For the person complaining about having every companion ready to sleep with them (at 09:00), in the pre-Patch1 version of the game it was very easy to do this if Shadowheart was your primary romance. Gale, Wyll, Halsin and Astarion would all still try to romance you all the way through to Act 3 if you didn't tell them to back off. Patching the speed of the romances didn't happen until a fair bit later, so if this review was from that version of the game I'd understand entirely... but that's fixed now.
I definitely was able to get scenes with Wyll, and Gale when I started at launch as I tried to romance Shadowheart but I remember at least with Gale's it was very easy to turn it platonic. I know they did mention a bug earlier on that made everyone a bit more...amorous, then intended, though. As for the reviewer, they posted their review just over a week ago, but who knows when they actually played.
@@RedbeardflynnRollsAOne In the unpatched game I had a lot of trouble getting Gale and Halsin to take "no" for an answer and worse still Shadowheart was down for it! They did take rejection pretty well though. Before Patch 6 I had a few other interesting relationship bugs come up from time to time but I just laughed them off because... hey it's a game and companions aren't going to leave the party or sulk for the rest of the game because you say "no".
Oh yeah I remember that being a quite a mood killer. I think I told All of my companions several times no. I mean sure if you want representation I guess I am okey with it. But why is it that I have 4 male characters trying to fuck me when I have never pursued a relationship with them.....
I still have Gale and Wyll trying to romance my character even when I never talked to them (on purpose to avoid romance) Lae'zel also lusted after my Durge. Halsin was also surprised I didn't want him even though never went for the romance flags beyond Thaniel
@@jarrodbright5231Shadowheart, Astarion, and Halsin are all canonically polyamorous, but you can't romance both Astarion and Shadowheart because Astarion doesn't want to be connected to her thru you and get pulled into her drama and will basically say anyone but her. Which leaves Halsin as the only other polyamorous romance option, and you can romance him and either of them. Technically Karlach will reluctantly agree to a polyamorous relationship but similar interpersonal issues prevent her from being romanced along with any but Halsin. Plus it seems cruel to put her through that when she is clearly just saying ok because she is afraid she will be the one to get dumped if she makes you choose. It's designed the way due to some technical issue that prevents you from romancing more than one origin character without breaking something.
This game has been an amazing journey. I've been the only reason anything bad has happened in my play through. Braking the big druid fella's heart, realizing being a murder hobo has its lonely draw back and not clearing a room properly only to bug myself out of a conversation that locked an achievement. All my doing. Yet I've had amazing time idk what wrong with ppl just hating for hates sake I guess.
Part of me is glad that a subset of people adopted the word “woke”. Those that use it unironically in a derogatory way is a great fast way to determine they are a garbage person.
Agreed. Every idea that comes out of their mouths was programmed into them by some podcast. They will never say or do anything original or insightful. Talking to them is completely a waste of time. So I'm glad they identify themselves like this and save me the time I would have wasted on them.
It is like hearing racism racism racism, when you hear woke over and overused when it isn't valid, the word loses its real meaning. When companies race-swap characters or make Mary Sue, there is plenty to criticize, BG3 has neither because it is original IP, and the female and male characters all start at level 1 and earn their OP status by the end game if you built them right.
BRO i have been GENUINELY ENJOYING and LOVING this game with 938 hours in it. ON 8 TO 10 FPS BRO THATS HOW YOU KNOW ITS GOOD, WHEN YOU CAN WITHSTAND 8-10 FPS AND STILL HAVE ALMOST 1000 HOURS IN THE GAME BITCH THATS ART
I've had a game breaking bug. I filed a bug report. Larian responded in 6 days. With the amount of people who play the game, I think that is a more than reasonable delay. Since I'm a dumbass, I started a new game which is now progressing fine, and had deleted my faulty save file. Therefore, Larian could not have a concrete example of the code that they could rectify. Their customer service was friendly, courteous, and together with the fact that this is the most enjoyable video gaming experience I have ever had, make me not care about the fools with no valid comment other than branding something they can't appreciate for whatever reason, with a meaningless culture war catch-all bs term to try and self-agrandise their sad lives. Long live BG3, Long live Larian. Cheers!
One thing in BG 3 I really don't like, the Illithid powers. They feel, "weightless" for the lack of any better words. They are so talked up in dialogue, but mechanically they are rather lackluster. It's like the blood magic in Dragon Age Origins all over again. Bad ass in lore, mechanically kind of a snore.
I've got nearly 600hrs in this game and I gotta say at least their strong women have actual reasons to be strong. They aren't just strong for no reason. Shadowheart was basically tortured since she was a child, Laezel is from a warrior culture, Karlach fought in the hells for 10yrs, Jaheira is the oldest member of the blades, so on and so forth but the better part is they didn't have to make male characters trash to do that.
as a queer, thank you for standing up for the queer community. I have reached about 500 hours of game play, I have finished it 3 times, and I'm close to finishing 2 more, and one game is in act 2 + about 3-4 new games. and I do have my personal opinions of things I don't like how they play out, or some of the Larian shortcomings: warning for spoilers from this point on: completed 2 origin runs one is Karlach origin (lae romanced) (this one is unique also, since I killed the grove and got minthy, but no dammon to get the second upgrade) the other is Lae'zel origin (Karlach romanced) Karlach's origin is very fun to play, but in the end, you can't join lae to go rip vlaakith a new one, which doesn't make sense, but over all the Karlach origin was made with a lot of love, and it shows. now Lae'zel origin is between a disaster and out right neglect. she mostly plays as a gith tav, nothing unique in general. if you are like me (hardly) and have her romance Karlach, then good luck with that😭, at the end the game will either have Karlach explode and lae from the astral will have a "she was like a sister to me" dialogue option, so pretty much the game breaks the romance as if it never happened. another thing that I truly dont like about Lae origin is that there is no way to convince orpheus to take gale's offer to explode, and it is either him become a ghaik or lae'zel or Karlach, which is a huge no from me. then when ghaik orpheus makes you promise to save the gith, if you go for the gith, you can convince orpheus to stay alive and go into hiding, but then without a second thought lae jumps on the dragon and leaves, and karlach explodes even though wyll is right there to take her to avernus like when tav joins lae. and then the other choice is "I wont kill you and I cant go to the astral" and he kills himself anyway, and at least lae gets to save her Karlach. but then, their party interaction is the shortest, and Xan is nowhere to be found no mentions in either of the choices. so truly I think larian needs to show some love to Lae'zel, because at this point she only exists as shart's prop speaking of end game choices, the fact that, only tav, gale, karlach, and orpheus have something to lose, but no other companion, even though fanfavour boy is the one asking you to eat all the tadpoles, and I can convince him to eat the astral one, but I have no option to get him be the ghaik instead of the others, irritates me. I think this is one lack of choice in the game that I don't agree with. the only thing positive from making orpheus ghaik is that we learn that him and Voss are husbands 🤷♂ all that being said, and besides the criticism I have in the parts I mentioned above, this game is ginormous and they have done an excellent job in so many aspects, to down vote or call it trash because my own personal faves dont get what I want.
@@RedbeardflynnRollsAOneI have my tavs lol SO MANY TAVs it took me months to finish a game for the first time lol. I have only played K and Lae origins, and I want to play a Wyll one. not really interested in the rest to be honest lol. but I highly recommend the Karlach origin she's an absolute delight (and the lae romance is exceptional with her) and if you ever try Karlach origin remember this: take her for a long rest right after the crash, before recruiting shadow, she has some very interesting things to say and think lol
I definitely agree with most of your criticism but I think Astarion not offering to be turned is actually very on brand for him. He only wants to eat tadpoles in act1 bc he is terrified and seeking power to free himself from Cazador. Later on he is reluctant to eat Astral Tadpole going so far as describing how not ok he is with being turned into a monster again bc turning into vampire spawn was horrible enough. His story just doesn’t make room for him being open to becoming full mindflayer. I think Wyll should be an option to consider because he is very heroic. Not sure about Shadowheart 🤔. Gale can’t be turned bc orb. Minsc is a tricky case but maybe 🤔 . Minthara would be a no go as well imo.
@@Yume03I dont think you understand what I mean by choice. I dont want them to offer I want my tav to have a persuasion/intimidation check to make them. like I could actually make him eat the astral one.
On my last playthrought I had a bug where Jaheira was never considered a member of my team whule in combat. She never entenred combat automatically, and could just mind her own business while everybody was fighting. Once I did something agressive, she entered combat with a yellow portrait. That's the only major bug I encoutered in 450h.
Right now it's my favorite game that I've ever played, I've completed 4 runs so far, my main bug was in the bar at 9 Fingers place in the sewer. The bartenders head would always be stretched all the across the board for some reason, but they finally seem to have fixed that in the last patch.
Some people just want to see the world burn. Anyone remember the glitch list from SKYRIM? That was probably the buggiest game I ever played and among gamers, heads bow and knees bend if you even mention it.
The two worst bugs i’ve run into were a glitch with breaking out of jail not realizing that my characters had escaped Moonrise prison (after I busted the tieflings and gnomes out of the adjacent cells, the doors opened but fast travel wasn’t restored) and on my evil dark urge play through, Shadowheart stopped existing after the kobold fight in the monastery. She was still in my party, but just wasn’t … anywhere
My first shot at Honor Mode. Barely manage to kill Commander Zalk, get his sword and bug out. Collect Princess, grab Adult vampire Stewie, pull a Mystranite out of a rock. Nuke some gobbos, brainwash a gobbo to take me to her leader, and drop in to cure a paralysed Panda. Switch from my Tav to Princess to cast lesser restoration, and Tav turns away from the Panda to call the guards. This is less a bug than an unintended interaction, but given the structure of Honor Mode doesn't really matter to me. Fortunately Alt+f4, close process ends the game without doing a save, so I was able to blip back and make sure I Shart on the Panda, but that did irritate me a bit.
the game is very "woke" but done in the right way it is not forced or implanted for purely political reasons. You can be or do whatever you want and it is of course a fantasy game
@@tonyjefferson3502woke now just means “includes LGBTQ” tbh. This game had the most racism I have experienced since early cod lobbies, which is generally very “anti woke”
As far as bugs, I guess I’ve been lucky. No game breaking bugs, I actually did get one that was kind of creepy. I was playing as the Dark Urge and I went to pet Scratch and he was covered in blood and his eyes were bleeding. It definitely looked like something from a creepypasta 😂
From my experience the bugs I have encountered have only been on modded playthroughs as I have been using some mods that were not up to date with the current patch, I then tried the game unmoded and I have not encountered any issues so far, so if you're playing with mods it might be wiser to wait until they're compatible with the game.
no romanacible dwarf or gobbo whcih makes me sad and half the part being elves is abit silly. woudl have loved to have dragonborn or dwarf or goblin chompians, also being able to play a goblin.
Or halfling or kobold! Would love to see that if Larian ever decides to break from their tradition and do an expansion or DLC, though I suppose that would also need to be within the scope of their licensing agreement.
95 percent of criticism I’ve seen is either “spider man 2 should have won”, or “ it’s woke. Meaning I don’t like that there are gay people and strong female characters.” People need to grow up fr
I'm almost 700 hours into this game - there are bugs. I have a good laugh every time they come up. There was one bug in particular I had run into where the Potent Robes texture was glitched - so it becomes white and gray blocks when the character's too far from the camera. That's fixed. I was over the moon. Now if only some of the Tieflings' faces didn't become black voids when I wasn't directly in front of them like something out of a nightmare.
I have noticed a few more Bugs in Patch #6 than any other patch. I am not a Game Developer at all, but I have a basic understanding that the bigger a game gets, even minor changes can cause unforeseen issues. I still love the game and know that Larian is doing their damnest to make it the best possible game they can. Hell they are putting things in the game that the community (not the company initially) wanted. People are hating because it makes them feel important.
Seeing these negative reviews some are actually so facepalming and laughable obviously people haven’t heard of *”MODS”* then again the game isn’t mod supported yet but some are true with the bugs which I agree
The 2nd review as far as bugs is true. My first play through was flawless, for the most part. Hardly any lag during fights and when dialog came up. Now, I go to leap and my character falls like it hit an invisible wall. Most the time dying. Dialog takes 30 seconds to load. Minthrana keeps repeating the same dialog when i click on her after multiple long rest. Not dialog options, she cuts to saying the same thing. That said I will recommend the game because most of this bugs don't break the game, as long as you don't play honor mode, and you save often. Also I don't run with any mods and it's the same PC.
I get why it looks stupid when people complain Larian is constantly updating their game, but the moment the hotfix 21 dropped, my PS5 shut down and hasn’t turned on since. I’ll take it to the store next week but I get what those people are coming from
I can't find a single instance of anybody saying their PS5 was bricked by hotfix 21 (I'm on a PS5 so was concerned.) or any others. There's some mentioning their save files being bricked but none for their overall system. Perhaps it's just coincidental timing. Last week my power went off for a few seconds, tv, computer and ps5 I was playing were shut down by it. For some reason I cannot get my tv to work. I try several things. Then I try putting different batteries in the remote and that was the culprit. The remote was just used less than five minutes before the power outage so my brain was pretty sure for a few minutes my tv was dead from the power surge. Nope, just some absurdly coincidental timing of the remote batteries dying. Just an idea to consider.
When I first got it, the game was in early access and left me with a bad impression. It was poorly optimised and tended to dump a lot of shit into my lap just as I was trying to process what I was currently dealing with. I swear, when I fist saw Raphael coming to my camp as I was taking a long rest, I was like "That's it. I'm done." Fast forward to 2023 and I gave the game a proper try after finding out it was officially released. I'm glad I did.
It wasn't until a few months ago that I had an issue come up that made my game literally unplayable on PC when I reach Baldur's Gate and got about a third of the way through Act 3, when my game would start crashing anytime I tried to save, no matter what save method I used. They managed to fix the crashing in a later patch/update, but the game still wouldn't save on that playthrough, it would only show an error code. Finally, about a month later, they got the error code fixed and I could save that run again. I have over 2000 hours now on the game, and I still love it.
i spent 1300 hours in that game (had a long sick leave and needed distraction, don't ask) still can't stop playing and haven't run out of ideas for characters...
I actually agree with the first guy, playing as the Durge and not being able to kill everyone was super annoying. Why add the origin where you are the child of murder if you are unable to kill someone?
If I had one complain over the experience, it would be that act 3 is a bit more demanding on the hardware than the previous acts, but that's an issue with my rig, not the game.
I've always wondered how much of that is the scope of Act 3 versus the save files. Performance is definitely improved from launch at least but my PC does like to make a lot of loud whirring noises...it does that when I edit videos too, though 😭
Spoilers . . . . My one complaint, if I am going redemptive durge and choose ceremorphosis to atone for starting the whole mess and let karlach whom I romanced choose to die rather than return to hell just let me burn with her on the pier or at least bury the knife in my own chest after she dies it was uncalled for to script my durge dying first and her dying alone. That aside good job.
Comment about bugs is not that absurd. I completed 2 playthrougs during patch 3-5 and faced really small amount of bugs. But I'm making a new playthrough right now and it's 5-8 bugs found a day. Examples: characters refuse to jump, characters in dialogue state without choises (had to reload couple of times), all choices in dialogue are duplicated, characters refusing to give quests. And I hate my throwing character because his weapon sometimes dissapear and I receive no exp for gravity damage (very often applied when theowing)
Patch #6 introduced a couple of strange but harmless bugs. After leveling up a character when I try to save the game it tells me that someone is leveling up and the changes will be lost and after a fight when I loot I'll sometimes get a series of "It's Your Turn" messages. I do have a couple of mods so I'm not sure it it's related to the mods. Like I said they're harmless. As for bugs that bother me. I find when "accidental attacks" cause a whole bunch of NPCs to attack you a bit annoying especially when it's because they walk through some spell that you haven't taken down yet.
I came into it expecting to not like it. As a fan of Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and Dragon Age Origins I wasn't super excited but something about it with this game worked for me and I couldnt see them doing it any other way.
Something Else I Could See Someone Complain About Is The Performance/Appearance On Steam Deck. It's Gotten Leagues Better, But On Launch? It Didn't Really Feel "Verified."
Good point. I don't have a steam deck (yet) but that would definitely be a frustration. I know at times it has had performance issues they've tried to hotfix, like the one that was tracking too much crime.
FYI Mortismal reviews pretty much all CRPGs and one of the topics he hits on all his reviews is the game's functionality on the Steam Deck. His reviews are always thorough and evenhanded, no attempts at inflating numbers through hyperbole.

So, the difference is simple. We know enough that we reach above ourselves to THE truth, alive, and pure, and clean, and difficult, and you don't. Not ever.
I can explain "I bet there is a reason why they don't". As female characters in games start to look more realistic, certain guys have found themselves getting less and less attracted to them. They're convinced there's a multinational, multi-industry-wide conspiracy to "Uglify" women in media. Yes, seriously.
No, they've got a point. You don't need to have your women be super models of course but some of these women are definitely being made intentionally ugly. I see prettier women at work than I do in some of these games.
what bugs?! People keep talking about bugs. And other than a few texture pop ins I haven't run into any major bugs. Ive got hundreds of hours. And im playing on a laptop. So i am so confused why peope are talking about bugs like its a Bethesda game
I think its because the ones players run into tend to be bad - like Xbox having saving issues or saves getting deleted. But yeah I haven't had any bugs outside of one quest in Act 3 that was a side quest. A friend of mine unfortunately had their Save corrupt in act 3, though. I think overall it's a small number of people affected but the impact is rough for them.
I've experienced a couple of bugs, in my current playthrough, for example, Jahira absolutely will NOT follow. She has to be leading the party or she just stands there. That being said, I'm a long time player of The Sims 4. This is nothing in comparison to the bugs I've lived through with that. At least Larian isn't adding expansion pack after expansion pack that breaks the game. The game is still relatively new, they'll get the bugs hammered out.
Regarding bugs "I'm confused by the anger... I haven't actually had that many bugs" ... I know what you're saying here, but man... I lost basically the entirety of my first play through until almost the end of Act 1 to a massive save-eating bug. I ran into, and still run into, constant dumb little crap when I play Divinity: Baldur's Original SinGate 3. It's an impressive game, and I love that they pulled it off while at the same time being fully uninterested in picking it back up any time soon. But really... When Cyberpunk 2077 launched (not post-patches, the Launch version), a fair few friends and I all played it. In my entire first playthrough, from start to finishing the main story, I encountered one full-on Bug, that stopped me from completing one fully-optional side mission, one of the Gigs. Aside from that and the occasional "well, that was a weird spawn-in of a car/npc" moment, my playthrough as well as those of my friends playing it were almost entirely smooth sailing and was a blast. I will, at the same time, *never* say about people's experiences there "I dunno, it's just confusing" even though my time has been almost entirely bug-free there. BG3, for me, has had more (tremendously more, vastly more per time played) bugs and issues after years of EA polish than CP2077 did at launch, but I'm sure as hell not gonna say that people running into CP bugs just want the game to be perfect.
Regarding the middle section, you know.... *those* reviews: any sewer-dwelling troglodytes still clinging to that perspective after all of these years can kindly *&^$ off and get the hell out of my hobby. Don't let the door hit you etc, you won't be missed. 100% spot-on, mr Beard.
I have well over 2000 hours. I have only experienced one bug, and that is in honour mode it took me back to a fight that I had done 3 hours prior after coming back too (I had saved like 10+ times between these events) after leaving the game and coming back to it.
I love that the game lets you choose what experiences you’ll see. So ya, you can go the whole rainbow alphabet route if you want, but if that’s not you, you don’t have to see any of that. All ya gotta do is say not interested. Even the Vampire will respect your wishes. I’ve played a lot of RPG over the years, this trounces them all.
I admit I can understand some frustration coming with a bad review when you encounter bugs. I had encoubtered 3 major bugs in my first playthrough. (A blocker where I could not summon a certain Queen with the artifact and two immersion breaking bugs: Astarion's kiss animations where a mess in patch 4 and Gale spoiled me with the Raphael quest before I even took it. It was frstrating and well them there is Minthara... holy shit that womsn is so bugged I can't. And as harsh as it sounds it feels like she never left EA.
I very much enjoy the game, but I can see why some might not like it, imagine someone not understand how "proficiency" works, and they put a great sword on gale, or heavy armor on astarion, and they can't figure out why their main hero can't fight, and why the thief can't stealth. I suppose some lines like "I'd much rather carry a staff" or "there's no way I could hide, wearing this" might help those people (but you can't fool proof everything)
Tbh the only annoying bug??? That I have encountered in my 20ish hours of playing the game so far is how doorways are just this imposing immovable objects that block your ranged characters from attacking anything on the other side, even with a straight line of sight. You have to destroy the doors first, which is weird and pretty annoying. There is also the dialogue bug I’ve seen since launch that just gives you “1. Continue” as your only dialogue option. Aside from those two this game is amazing and I can’t wait to replay it with different characters and choices in my subsequent runs.
Sometimes it gets really buggy after a patch if you don’t do a reinstall, which yeah is a little annoying, but if that’s all I have to do for no bugs I’ll take it
One of my favorites negative reviews was "omg this game basically a reskin of divinity original sin 2 they stole from that game" not realizing Larian made both games. I've had a few bugs, cutscenes where halsin is still a bear and standing in the camera and another where if my character is jumping they jump into the void and die. Nothing a reload can't fix and nothing that bothers me. Then again I have also played Bethesda games before. Obviously those who complain about glitches have never seen a Todd Howard original before. 😸
I am fast approaching 500 hrs and am on my second run thru. Doing Durge this time and it feels like a totally different game. I’ve seen scenes that it looks like you only get if you play the other original characters so theoretically you could play well over 1000 hrs and still find new stuff. I thought it was buggy in the beginning (I played a rogue my first play thru and stealth/theft seemed broken-if I’m hiding in a closed building and steal something how does someone outside see me and notify authorities lol) but that has scone been patched. I highly recommend this game
That one about being mad another them adding features after release is crazy, maybe it’s because most games I play I played in early acsess or treat their game like larian but updating the game is a good thing?? Like I’m always excited to see games I like update so I can see what new content they added
to be fair, I had a very buggy experience. More bugs than any other game I have played in the past few years. I have had to replay about 15 hours due to quest blockers, duplication glitches, incorrectly working abilities, invisibility of companion torso's, continuously changing hair style of shadowheart (just pick one ;p), camera getting stuck behind stuff, enemy ai not working, etc. the game's story is great, one of the best. But I would love to see stealth and some abilities be reworked (outside of combat). graphics are also great. But I do think the game is a bit overrated.
I really like this game. But If there 1 or 2 thing i really hate in this game is that the game is favors the MC character to much. (Especially with the new patch.) I kinda hated that the game only reward the MC in the dialogues like He or she is the only one who did something during the game. I wish that they praise the character who did the good thing... and not every good and bad thing is only target the MC. One of the thing in DND that DM should not do is make a favorite PC during the game. And another minor thing is want is coupling other companion. It kinda a shame that only the Mc and one lucky companion can get love. Why we can't build friendship or love realtionship between the companions? Other then that i don't really have any issue. If there is bug it eventually get fixed so it not hit me at all. There is not a single bugless game.
The only thing I complain about patches and bugfixes is that it messes with mods :D And in the game as big as BG3 (and the speed I play) I started now my third Dark Urge playthrough and I hope to finish it before patch 7. It frustrates me (in a good way), because the patches either fix some annoying specific bugs (like moon druid attacks) or they add fantastic new things and I am torn between updating or not.
I laugh whenever someone lauds BG3 for being "diverse". It's not. It's really, really not, not if you look at characters' and players' orientations. In that regard, it's bland af (and I say this as someone who adores the game). Every single romanceable character is bisexual/pansexual/playersexual (whatever label you want to give it). What's so "diverse" about everyone being the same? Not to mention how the game gatekeeps you from the romance experience if you or your character don't want to have sex. As of Patch 6, the game also forces your character and their LI into a post-sex scene after defeating the final boss. Not very "diverse" if asexual people are being excluded, is it? Not to mention all the people and characters affected by sexual trauma. Do they not matter? Anyway, I love the game, but if Bioware could make one LI's sex scene optional and give no repercussions for turning them down back in 2014, Larian can manage this with all their LIs in 2024. They care about adding stuff only a few people will ever even see just so that the option is there, right? Why not this, when they're "catering to 'all' sexualities" already? Are asexuals and trauma victims less important than the gays, straights, and bisexuals somehow?
I really beg to differ about them breaking the game. In example before patch 6 i kept running into HARD crashes(yeah black screen and whole computer booted) and it made honour run pretty spicy. After the patch it was actually only the game that crashed, so they do actually know what they are doing. As for the other bugs, everyone should expect those considering this is a multi-platform multiplayer ready game with a MASSIVE scope. Its actually a miracle this game is even in playable form with such a small team.
Ive had one game breaking bug in act 2, some time around patch 5 my 40 hours of progress on my mian save ment nothing, it just crashed constantly whenever I loaded my saves. Had to do a fresh start, got pretty bummed about it but I still loved this game so much that Ive been having a blast finally on act 3 on my now main save. I personally get it that game breaking bugs suck a lot, but Im pretty happy that at least this once it didnt make me sad to the point where i just never get to replay the game again out of pure fustration
I had some minor bugs but my favorite huge one I got was when the (little spoiler ahead) ooze blob at last light inn would attack everything as soon as it rendered into sight, kill Dammon, and never enter initiative. I spent hours trying to reload and outsmart it somehow but it murdered the entire inn every time... Larian fixed that one real fast 😂 I love this game though. I love that they're still adding more content and, as a developer myself, know bugs sometimes just happen despite your best efforts. As for the game being "too woke"... I choose to think the tentacle sex was just too much for some lmfao
4:29 There is something "woke" that rubbed me the wrong way, and I can explain it to you. I'm from Spain, and in our language, there are no gender-neutral pronouns. There is no such thing as "they/them"; the equivalent forms would be "ellos" when referring to men or "ellas" when referring to women. There is a political party (Podemos) that wants to introduce a gender-neutral pronoun (elle) to our speech, and they're quite aggressive in doing so. That's why this particular "pronoun" has been associated with this political party (I might add that everyone hates Podemos; in our last elections, they got no political representation). That's why, when they introduced the golden flying elephant thing that used the "elle" pronoun, I got a bit upset.
That’s interesting, I didn’t know Spanish doesn’t have gender neutral pronouns. I know most similar languages do, but regardless, it certainly is an interesting thing. It’s not woke to be a different gender though.
Ok about the line of people being upset that they're patching the game, so that dude with the review there might have possibly had an honor run ended due to a stupid bug like getting on an elevator in act 2. And he did claim he would change the review (whether that's true or not I don't really care heh). Just saying it's potentially a valid review rather than just hate.
They must have encountered grym. Don't get me wrong. I love this game, but after fighting him for an hour and a half, I feel nothing but searing hatred of everything. I haven't beat him yet. 😢
When you do complete that fight, though, it’s the freaking best feeling. And then the fight gets super easy because the trick to it isn’t actually that hard. There are clues as to how to do it all over Grymforge. My monk beat him to death with her bare hands if that helps.
I'm not defending the reviewers that cry about "woke" game, but there is a little point in their narrative, that bites me too. I want to travel with the party of my friends. Maybe, one of them becomes my lover. But in this game, if you keep good relationships with your party, by the end of act two you travel with the party of people who expressed romantic interest in you and got rejected. Some taking that with very sad face, like Wyll. That's not the same. I'm not interested in men and my freindships IRL would've become very awkward if EVERY my male friend came out as gay and in love with me. But this is exactly what happens in BG3. I just want to have four good friends in the party and really wish there were a switch for same-sex romance. Or different relationship meters for friendship and romance (connected, but not united). Or fixed different orientations for companions, like in Pathfinder.
Unless it's a bug, you can't start a romance unless you flirt or flirt back with a character. I had a very good relationship with Wyll, Shadowheart and Karlach and stayed away from the flirty dialogue and had no problem, there was no rejection. Astarion will try to hit on you because of his past and that's in line with his character. I'll also give Laezel a pass, she wants a physical relationship. What is really weird for me is Gale. Mind you, if you have a moment of magic with him but don't imagine anything and just go goodnight, nothing will happen (at least now, before he was too persistent). And you want a switch for same sex romance? I'm sorry, you can handle a pixel woman hitting on you but not a pixel man???
@@dominika3762Wyll's romance starts with the dance invitation and he becomes very upset and makes a sad puppy face if you reject him. Doesn't really sit right with me. >you can handle a woman hitting on you but not a man I can handle anyone hitting on me, it's just different - travelling with a group of friends and travelling with a group of friends each of which had hit on you. If I'm not interested in men, then, when woman hits on me - I can accept, all men I have to reject. As for "pixel" - I can treat all of them as a bunch of pixels and stats, but what's the point of the immersion then? P.S. And I suggested a couple of other solutions, not only the "switch" one. Second is my favorite, I think.
@@kukhop1you don’t have to dance with Wyll, or even entertain flirting/relationships if you don’t want to. I’m still shocked by how hard it is to get karlach to get in a Relationship
@@kingofgrim4761I don't have to dance, but if I reject him, he becomes very upset. And his gesture clearly feels as romantic, not friendly. Again, my problem is that you get romantic moves from every character in your party. Somehow out of eight random people/elves/giths etc you've managed to meet eight bisexuals all of which fell hard for you. That is not a group of friends, that's a goddamn harem! Btw, what is so hard about Karlach relationships? Be nice to people and she likes you really fast. Start Act II and here is full blown romance. Shadowheart is much harder.
Actually Wyll and all the other characters are bi or pan. None of them are gay. All of the romances can be clearly be stopped at the very start so there's never any point somebody is going to come onto you without your giving them permission first unless you played the game when it came out, then they were indeed way too horny for most people.
For the comment of the wrong decision, I'll actually bet there mad because they were on honor mode and thought it didn't look that hard, and that people were overexaggerating the difficulty. With the right overpowered combo and meta, it will be so easy! Only for them to do something to screw up that balance and cause it to come crashing down. Meta doesn't mean easy W. It helps, but overpowered doesn't always compromise good planning and skill.
Oi Euro Truck Sim 2 is a fun game as is American Truck sim. Just wanted to say, It's one of those games that is more fun than it would seem lol But I'm glad that BG3 is as good as it is, and you can't please some people. Bugs can be frustrating too, but I haven't seen many at all and none that ruin the game. Side note the worst thing to come from BG3 is my fav romance option Shadowheart, has gotten the nickname 'Shart' which I grew up knowing as when a fart contains poop....
I don't like how it can create faulty saves. Sloppy programming but I think they fixed it by now. Everything else was good. They should just but everything in a json and then compress it with protobuf. Make it backwards compatible. Try to load it line by line and if an item no longer exists in the database, don't add it. Store whether an object is broken or in a different location when it moves. It would not functionally change the game. Remove save option during dialog or combat if you can't support that, but stopping a save game working is not acceptable for a professionally made game.
If people dislike it, you should probably let them. That's fine. I'm on my second playthrough, I like the game a lot. The character development and attention to detail are staggering. No problem if someone else doesn't see things that way. They don't owe anyone any explanation for their opinions and have every right to voice them. You'll never please all the people all the time and I'm sure Larian should know that by now.
One thing that I noticed and found both interesting and confusing (as a bi trans girl) is that all the gnomes seem to be in gay relationships. Be it either Ironhand or Gondian every time a gnome mentioned a romantic partner it was always one of the same gender. I understand that this is not really relevant to this topic, but this information has been burning a hole in my proverbial pocket for weeks. I feel like I am missing some kind of lore element or other explanation. I feel slightly crazy even talking about this.
Tha extras added and the big 'corrections' made, will now and again introduce new bugs, which get patched out in the hotfixes. The story and the the size of the code in this game and how connected everything is, means that a small chnage, bugfix, can cascade throughout and create unforeseen other 'bugs'. Following on from Neil's speach. No I wasn't represented in this game. I doubt that I ever will be in any game. But heck there are so many good, enjoyable characters, both good and evil, that I can enjoy playing and exploring. BTW Redbeard, what is the PC case that you have behind you. It looks like something I might be interested in.
Here you go: amzn.to/48JBw4l When I got it it was about $20 cheaper than it is now so if you're interested might be worth waiting until June-ish for Prime day deals.
The game is so bad that I have played nothing else since release and look forward to every playthrough. My main game was FFXIV but i've probably been kicked from my FC. I may return for you know....Dawntrail but you know what? I might just decide to make a Durge character.
I feel like any haters either haven't played or couldn't figure out how a game like this works, because it's legit the best game I've played in a long time

I now need to draw a picture of all the BG3 companions with the phrase "Gaming is for fucking everyone".
“Fucking everyone” as in intended to be experienced by everyone, or “*Fucking* everyone” as in having sex with everyone.
I caught it while I was editing and at this point it just works both ways.

@@nobody-vp1ww My take on this is to wait for the definitive edition before doing honor mode or even going for a modded playthrough.
@nobody-vp1ww Criticism is fine but it should be accurate. Bugs is a valid one but most of the reviews are not about that. Also they fixed the worst ones already.
@@TheAtomicWarriorI'm doing honor mode just fine right now
Can... can we circle back to Leather Daddy Gale for a second?
@@hah-vj7hc 'shadowheart is stronger than gale, wyll, and astarion! woke stuff!' >mfw wyll's a warlock and charisma-based, gale's a wizard and is intelligence based, and rogues are obviously fucking dexterity based
they're not flavoured that way just for funsies, dude. the stats are to optimize the classes. that's how DnD works - and it wouldn't encourage people to swap between companion / party teammates often, if you were all moderately good at what you did.
also, not all men are buff. especially wizards, assuming you know their whole stereotype.
relationships not being great during a /literal time of crisis where the gods are attempting to overthrow cosmic balance/ is a given - but, as a quick question, /which/ gay relationships are you pointing to as an example? which examples of straight relationships are you pointing to?
i'd probably counteract the 'oh the women and the men are hating eachother!' with bringing up benryn, from the rescue the trapped man side-quest in act 1; literally the /moment/ he is rescued, he will begin to run around and scream for his wife, whom he was seperated from in the fire. and, if you tell him you found her, he will become distraught and begin sobbing over her corpse.
also... yeah, of course the dwarven woman dislikes her husband. he was abusing her. that's something that happens, y'know.
also, "it's not representation, it's more of a revenge move that targets people who never had anything against lbgt.. people, people like me." ... why is this about you, again? you seem to be taking this weirdly personal.
my final take on this?
i'm pretty sure that if you walked into a game where all lgbtq+ relationships were portrayed as hurtful, but straight relationships were portrayed as the opposite? you wouldn't be coming out with this kind of energy about the game.
@@hah-vj7hc This ain't it, chief. You're hard core cherry picking.
@@WobblesandBean fine if you guys wanna act naive like you don't see it remnants of "modern day" in this game, totally fine.
Right? Gamer guys are a toxic bunch, and things like this are reminders of that. They're not as small a minority as you might think.

Cheers!
I do not find this game super "woke". It just enables the player to get an additional choice in a for ONCE, not "on-the-nose/stupid" kind of way.
They can hate it all they want 😂 Still one of the most popular games of all time. And won't stop me from kicking ass in Honor Mode :)
I'm mostly getting my ass kicked in honor mode...
@RedbeardflynnRollsAOne There are some preparations that make it alot easier + depends on builds as well. It can either be really hard or not that bad
07:20 What a king. It's sad it needs to be said but we need to keep saying it for those who pretend not to hear.
I have reached about 500 hours of game play, I have finished it 3 times, and I'm close to finishing 2 more, and one game is in act 2 + about 3-4 new games.
and I do have my personal opinions of things I don't like how they play out, or some of the Larian shortcomings:
warning for spoilers from this point on:
completed 2 origin runs
one is Karlach origin (lae romanced) (this one is unique also, since I killed the grove and got minthy, but no dammon to get the second upgrade)
the other is Lae'zel origin (Karlach romanced)
Karlach's origin is very fun to play, but in the end, you can't join lae to go rip vlaakith a new one, which doesn't make sense, but over all the Karlach origin was made with a lot of love, and it shows.
now Lae'zel origin is between a disaster and out right neglect. she mostly plays as a gith tav, nothing unique in general. if you are like me (hardly) and have her romance Karlach, then good luck with that😭, at the end the game will either have Karlach explode and lae from the astral will have a "she was like a sister to me" dialogue option, so pretty much the game breaks the romance as if it never happened.
another thing that I truly dont like about Lae origin is that there is no way to convince orpheus to take gale's offer to explode, and it is either him become a ghaik or lae'zel or Karlach, which is a huge no from me.
then when ghaik orpheus makes you promise to save the gith, if you go for the gith, you can convince orpheus to stay alive and go into hiding, but then without a second thought lae jumps on the dragon and leaves, and karlach explodes even though wyll is right there to take her to avernus like when tav joins lae.
and then the other choice is "I wont kill you and I cant go to the astral" and he kills himself anyway, and at least lae gets to save her Karlach.
but then, their party interaction is the shortest, and Xan is nowhere to be found no mentions in either of the choices.
so truly I think larian needs to show some love to Lae'zel, because at this point she only exists as shart's prop
speaking of end game choices, the fact that, only tav, gale, karlach, and orpheus have something to lose, but no other companion, even though fanfavour boy is the one asking you to eat all the tadpoles, and I can convince him to eat the astral one, but I have no option to get him be the ghaik instead of the others, irritates me.
I think this is one lack of choice in the game that I don't agree with.
the only thing positive from making orpheus ghaik is that we learn that him and Voss are husbands 🤷♂
all that being said, and besides the criticism I have in the parts I mentioned above, this game is ginormous and they have done an excellent job in so many aspects, to down vote or call it trash because my own personal faves dont get what I want.
@@RedbeardflynnRollsAOneI have my tavs lol SO MANY TAVs it took me months to finish a game for the first time lol.
I have only played K and Lae origins, and I want to play a Wyll one. not really interested in the rest to be honest lol.
but I highly recommend the Karlach origin
she's an absolute delight (and the lae romance is exceptional with her)
and if you ever try Karlach origin remember this: take her for a long rest right after the crash, before recruiting shadow, she has some very interesting things to say and think lol

"THIS GAME DON'T SERVE ME ORANGE SODA WITH NO ICE"!!
"it just works"
The two worst bugs i’ve run into were a glitch with breaking out of jail not realizing that my characters had escaped Moonrise prison (after I busted the tieflings and gnomes out of the adjacent cells, the doors opened but fast travel wasn’t restored) and on my evil dark urge play through, Shadowheart stopped existing after the kobold fight in the monastery. She was still in my party, but just wasn’t … anywhere
and of note, Larian fixed the first, since I was too stubborn to backtrack a couple saves
"The fuck does woke mean?" This should be said every damn time.
Don't know, don't care. I just play for fun.
As soon as "too woke" comes in the argument, I just opt out.
the game is very "woke" but done in the right way it is not forced or implanted for purely political reasons. You can be or do whatever you want and it is of course a fantasy game

Oh no...oh no is that a thing in the Dark Urge playthrough? I haven't done a Dark Urge playthrough and now I might not want to lol.
Agreed and I imagine wotc would told them they could do dlc

How dare Larian use 20-sided dice for challenges. Just pushing that icosahedron agenda!
Lol
I get why it looks stupid when people complain Larian is constantly updating their game, but the moment the hotfix 21 dropped, my PS5 shut down and hasn’t turned on since. I’ll take it to the store next week but I get what those people are coming from
Oof, like it bricked your ps5? I'd definitely put in a support ticket if that happened. That's awful, I'm sorry to hear that.
@@RedbeardflynnRollsAOne pretty much yeah. It was Friday night and I’m traveling on the weekend so I’m gonna check it out next week
I'm done."
Fast forward to 2023 and I gave the game a proper try after finding out it was officially released. I'm glad I did.
Honestly they showed how to do Early Access right - take in user feedback and make changes that make sense and deliver on release.
Why add him in the first place? It makes no sense if you played BG 1 & 2. It's a retcon for nostalgia sake.
there is a bug in the very first room of the game, you can’t read the tablet.

I love this game, and it is awesome with how much good representation is in the game.
I wish gamers were more respectful with their negativity.
900 hours and I only found one game-breaking bug which has now been fixed.
I love the game but I am not a fan of turn based but everything else that is good overcomes that for me.
I came into it expecting to not like it. As a fan of Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and Dragon Age Origins I wasn't super excited but something about it with this game worked for me and I couldnt see them doing it any other way.
Have they played some of Bethesda’s games? We want to talk bugs lol. Some of the bugs I encountered with their games were hilarious though
Like, woke doesn't mean anything anymore xD Anyone still using that word, on both sides, need to move on.
Not ever.
I can explain "I bet there is a reason why they don't". As female characters in games start to look more realistic, certain guys have found themselves getting less and less attracted to them. They're convinced there's a multinational, multi-industry-wide conspiracy to "Uglify" women in media. Yes, seriously.
Uhh have you played last of us 2 they do have a point.
Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2.
No, they've got a point. You don't need to have your women be super models of course but some of these women are definitely being made intentionally ugly. I see prettier women at work than I do in some of these games.
The characters aren't even ugly most of the times. Just not perfect 10's in their eyes.
You summoned them
"Woke" is code for "not bigoted".
Yeah that's why I tried to give space for that toward the end. When I hear about people losing saves I almost feel guilty, you know?
Please let me know where I can get that shirt. I need it.
Haha I've got you: www.redbubble.com/i/t-shirt/Save-scum-without-shame-by-Redbeardflynn/151388762.6VDG0
I was a bit confused when Astarion started speaking at 8:00
yeah meant to cut that audio, thought I did. My apologies.
One of the best games I've ever played. Not too often I usually say that. It has definitely earned a spot in my list of games I love.
Recently found your channel and I'm loving it. Stay positive my man
Thank you so much!
Sometimes it gets really buggy after a patch if you don’t do a reinstall, which yeah is a little annoying, but if that’s all I have to do for no bugs I’ll take it
In the otherwise, i really enjoy the game much more when i suddenly discover some bug after update...😂
I don’t know anything about DND or Baldurs Gate lore. But even I’m loving the game. Definitely the best game I’ve played in a long while
I am fast approaching 500 hrs and am on my second run thru.
(Especially with the new patch.)
I kinda hated that the game only reward the MC in the dialogues like He or she is the only one who did something during the game.
The bracelet your wife made you was the cutest! ❤
I love it so much! Thank you
The only thing I complain about patches and bugfixes is that it messes with mods :D And in the game as big as BG3 (and the speed I play) I started now my third Dark Urge playthrough and I hope to finish it before patch 7.
I’ve been playing since November… and I can’t stop. It’s without a doubt the best RPG I’ve ever played
400+ hours and no bugs. I do have a very high end gaming machine, maybe that's it, I don't know.
9:40 The way I read that review they weren't mad about what they did in the game, they were made they couldn't do it faster.
Flying elephant is fine but the use of an alt pronoun is too far?
The guy complaining about updates is 100% a big mod user
Use the hammer in the center of the arena.
You'll get em!
Doesn't really sit right with me.
>you can handle a woman hitting on you but not a man
I can handle anyone hitting on me, it's just different - travelling with a group of friends and travelling with a group of friends each of which had hit on you.
I won't say I include "Shart" in the video just for you, but I won't say I didn't either.
I would enjoy the game so much more if they fixed the camera for PS5. It sucks, especially in combat.
I want that shirt...
Here you go: amzn.to/48JBw4l
When I got it it was about $20 cheaper than it is now so if you're interested might be worth waiting until June-ish for Prime day deals.
@@RedbeardflynnRollsAOne 170 euros, a bit on the expensive side, but yes interesting. Thanks for the lead.
The game is so bad that I have played nothing else since release and look forward to every playthrough. My main game was FFXIV but i've probably been kicked from my FC. I may return for you know....Dawntrail but you know what? I might just decide to make a Durge character.
Haha I love this. I'm glad BG3 didn't come out when I was raiding in Everquest...my guild would have kicked me.
I feel like any haters either haven't played or couldn't figure out how a game like this works, because it's legit the best game I've played in a long time
