I moved up from a GC1725m to an 1825e SS (with 3rd function and a 4in1 bucket) I liked my GC for what it was, but for moving weight with the GC found it to be tippy. Plus the limited lift capacity , spelled the end for my GC. The 1825 is a whole new animal. It's nice to be able to handle a half-ton log and more. I have zero issues with it "only being 25hp". This tractor is a beast

Exact tractor to the 1734e. Only difference is the loader. Ive had mine since 2016 and not one issue. I don't care how cold it is outside she starts the same every time. I personally love the engine sound on these. Feels like an old school diesel. Ive never used the clutch for shifting. Ive always just shifted the speed range lever unless you feel binding on the lever. You shift at a stopped position so there is no point in using the clutch. There's nothing to disengage. Its bigger purpose for your PTO disengaging of implements.

You made a wise decision! I still have my Massey 1533 I bought new in 2010, best damn tractor for its size. I bought a Case 580N, and have a D7 cat, all of which covers just about everything I need, but I'll never part with the 1533. I have 700 plus hours on it and never had an issue, and those are hard hours, everyone of them. Oh, blew a line once. I live in the Sierra and it's all downhill to work on the cliffside to the creek. Skidded many a load of logs, 3 to 4 at a time up a 40% grade. The Massey never complained one bit, the hydro tranny always kept the wheels spinning with probably 2 to 3000 lbs behind it dragging, oh, and a full load in the bucket for ballast.
I have a brand new 1723 e like you had and I agree it just doesn't really get the job done I'm also looking at the 18 to upgrade not sure that I like where the fuel tank is I also would like to have seen a rubber mat where your feet go instead of just the bare metal they kind of cheap out on that and a couple other things I've noticed
Hey that was a good video! & the M-F 1825E is a very nice upgrade from your 1700 series . I bought a M-F 1526 in 2018 for the same reason over the 1700 series for the simple reason to work with my 1 ton dump truck & I have a 1959 M-F 50 to do all the log skidding & with a log splitter & no rops so I can get into the woods easier & both tractors compliment each other on what they can do & can't do & nothing beats seat time enjoy your new Mighty-Fine = M-F 1825E , & thanks for the video.

Plan on getting the 1835e shuttle shift with backhoe.Because my other 1988 M-F 1020 is tired (No loader too). Did test drive your Tractor compaired to the 1835e shuttle, and it is WAY MORE QUIET. Don't like that hydro-whine, and indirect diesel Clatter. Will take my chances with the computer,complexity & 2500.oo$ price hike. "My TRACTORS " have to Always have TWO BRAKE PEDALS ( gear drive HAS turning brakes)! Please keep the "Action" coming. Thank you for the great Video Sir and happy safe tractoring .

Congrats. I got the same tractor, just got my 50 hour service. I don't think the transmission issue is a "new transmission" thing. I think that's just the way it is. Just put it into a gear it is willing to go into, let the clutch out and tap the throttle. Then put the clutch back in and make your gear shift. It is on my short list of issues I have. I love the tractor but this is annoying at times.
Dont need to push clutch to change gear. That is for your pto engaging. If its not going into gear. raise your bucket up or rock it a bit and itll go. Also LOAD YOUR REAR TIRES!!! Itll change your life. Takes all tippyness out!
Have you had a bush hog on it yet. How is it on power for its size. Very interested in getting one just not sure about the 25 hp but don’t like all the computerized stuff above 25 hp. Thank you for the video can’t nothing on the 1825 actually doing work

Way to go Aaron. Gears are where it's at ,not an overgrown "lawnmower ",just a "REAL" TRACTOR. Plan on getting the 1835e shuttle ( little more power) but way-way more quiet, & more complexity (willing to take this chance again). It will be "added" to the 3 tractor fleet, [ two Massey-Ferguson's & a kubogy]. Way good choice you have.
I went with the 1825 because the tractor weighs about 800 lbs more than the 1526. The 1526 is roughly 1800 lbs total and the 1825 is 2600 lbs total. Makes a big difference for running implements.
I really don't like where those fuel tanks are at I think that sometimes when I'm in the woods I'm going to tear them up it the transmission shifter should have been something like a solid round steel rod instead of just that floppy flat metal mine wiggle like that and it does have problems sometimes getting in gear

Though to be fair the Iseki engine and transmission could still be made in Japan even though the tractor assembly happens in Indonesia. Either way it’s a nice looking tractor. Hope it serves you well
You won’t find any new tractors this size with a temp gauge. That’s old news. Every one has a temp indicator that comes on if it’s overheating. That’s all that’s needed.
I live in the desert, it was 114 today. I was making a lot of dust and kicking up brush, I agree with you that a temp gauge would be nice. Every time I've checked my radiator screen it was a mess. I would like to know I have an issue before I overheat.

It will do it, just have to wait for spring. Would be a little difficult in the middle of winter.

This size tractor will work a 4-5 ft brush hog really well. You won’t be disappointed

Mine with loader, bachhoe and a set of forks came to 32K.
I bought the 8x8 shuttle version, you will not be disappointed!!

Massey has more options than the John Deere and Kubota. Build heavier too.

They aren’t all made there. Unfortunately nothing is 100% made in USA anymore.

You will know if you have an issue. There is an overheating light that will come on.
