*please pin to educate people who don't understand how invasive these pests are* These Lionfish are an invasive predatory fish species that pose a very high threat to coral reefs and native fish populations. They have a negative impact on the health of the native reef ecosystem. By eating native fish species, lionfish can cause a decline in their populations, disrupting the balance of the reef. This can lead to negative consequences such as the overgrowth of algae, which can smother and damage coral reefs. lionfish also have very rapid reproductive rates and venomous defenses, allowing them to rapidly invade new areas without getting murked by predators since they have none and outcompete native species. They have been eating so much native fish that they can grow freely, if this continues all native fish in the area will be dead and the lion fish will take over. These bastards are nasty and invasive and hunting all of the invasive lion fish down is the only solution, if we let them roam free say goodbye to the native Coral reefs they invade.
